Sometimes I wonder why Jelpi didn't send Hyeyeon to PD101. Not saying the other girls aren't worthy of being on there, but there's something abt Hyeyeon that makes her a valuable asset to the group. Not only is she one of the group's strongest dancers, but she has a decent voice, nice visuals and plenty of charisma onstage. Anyone feel that way?

You know, I feel like I'm one of the only people who sees something positive in the girls' teaser pics for Night & Day. The fact that the Day shots are so primped & pristine-looking, soft and gentle-appearing is the quintessential idea of something being seen as "innocent", "good", positive. The same goes for the Night shots, except in that case, the girls are cast against a basic, run-down yet simple "concrete"-like backdrop. Those shots, with the harsh lighting & rather unpolished look, gives off the appearance of being "bad", "negative", "guilty." Given how the reactions towards the teaser pics themselves have been mixed (with people praising the Day shots for appearing so dreamy and alluring & criticizing the Night shots as not good or what-not), it would not surprise me if there's more to this than just what meets the eye. Jelpi's been known to slip in an underlying meaning or story into VIXX's work, and with Gugudan, I could see them holding something back until CB day comes. Basically, perhaps this all tie into the taboo surrounding the Cait Sith itself. To some, it's a mystical, enchanting fairy (Day), while to others, it's nothing more than just a sinister, feline-like witch (Night).

Okok so guys, just when I was about to type something completely different, I just started having major concerns for the the final group. If the girl group wins, then that will impact BP's comeback in some way & vice versa. Unless he has their CB date on lock & sometime close by, Blinks might find themselves put on the back-burner once again, and that could end up bringing hate to the debut group. Either way, one group's gonna be propped up higher than the other. If the boy group wins, then he's going to have to deal with promoting both iKON's comeback (the 25th), and the start of promotions post-show (finale on the 26th.) Plus, if Wanna-one ever decides to make another comeback, that will surely be a gamble if the debut (*knocks on wood*) under-performs. I'm really starting to think that YG didn't think things through at all when he came up with M9 (not that he ever does, but still.) Given how low the ratings are, and how the group only has 7 months to promote, there's a lot to lose if the execution of it all isn't top-notch & precisely calculated. But then again, knowing YG, I'm not so sure.

Hey guys! So regarding the whole ordeal with OT5 being split up for the current time being, is it bad that I actually see this as a good thing for the group? I mean, Jason & Donghun in the Top 9 (with Wow UBER-close to reaching it), and JunChan is getting recognition on The Unit, with Chan possibly reaching Top 9 of Unit B, is doing nothing but 1) not only bringing Beat's success in grooming these boys for showing off their improved skills post-debut, and 2) bringing more attention to the boys themselves. Trust me, I'd love to see them CB with Emotions (apparently), but hey, all of this hype from the shows will only have more people anticipating how well the boys do post-show. Also, if for some reason any of the members don't make the final group on (particularly Jun, and/or even Wow/Chan), Beat can use this to their advantage by having them featured on ACE's official Vlive (once they open one up) and releasing dancing & singing covers, all while boosting posts & other content from the other boys' respective groups (assuming they make the debut teams.) As much as I'd love for OT5 to all end up being like Yuehua's trainees from PD101 Season 2 & somehow not make it in the show's respective groups, this will only help the boys immensely. Besides, knowing Lady Beat & the company, ACE's successful promotions will only become more effective.

So idk if I'm the only one feeling this way at the moment, but I wouldn't mind if both groups debuted in the end (not like that's gonna happen by any means #ThatsYGForYa). Though I'm rooting for the boys' team to debut, some of these girls in the Top9 would make for a surprising team. As long as WowDongSon can make it in the Top9 together, I'll be content

Hihi my fellow Choices! I don't know if I left a previous comment on the thread yet, but I just want to say I'm so happy to be stanning a group of boys who are not only talented in their craft, but also passionate & hardworking in what they do! YUUUUUS @ CHAN GETTING CENTER!! And SUPER RELIEVED that Jun is getting a chance to shine as well! It's pretty upsetting to see how so many comments on the YT vid are complaints about why this person isn't center, or why that team isn't center, but quite frankly, it's good to see a change in the position. I'm personally already skeptical of how some of the contestants are given major edits/screentime on The Unit over many of the other ones (*cough*seems sort of biased imo*cough), but besides that, the fact that contestants who have been given hardly any screentime the whole show (particularly ACE) shows the amount of variety and talent that has either been slept on, or definitely undiscovered. #LET'SGOJUNCHAN!

Hey guise! So I'm keeping up with the show, but does anyone know how voting works for the show? I'm still #SHOOKETH over my bb Donghun dropping all the way to 49th, and Wow barely even being mentioned. I just need to know what the heck is going on, since YG & co. are already up to no good with their editing.

UGH! I'm so proud of the girls for their amazing livestages, and I can't wait until they wear the Hershey's kisses on the heads onstage Sejeong goes super saiyan, evaporating every single person in the audience from excessive heat & feels Soyee makes a surprise appearance, snatches wigs off of everyone's heads in the audience as she makes her way to the stage the girls win their first award! They have SUCH a chance with Chococo! (The donut is their first win):

Bless Gugudan, their bop of a title track, their stellar album, and their queenly visuals... ....and this: #GuguQUEENS #Gugu-DOMINATION

I hope so! I guess it's just sort of off-putting bc of what yh_next's initial purpose was. Like you said tho, I truly do believe something good will come to JungTinHyuk, and hope that with this wait, it's just a sign that their golden opportunity is just being tweaked to perfection. ^_^

Hey guys! Haven't been in the thread for a while, but I just wanted to stop by & say that I'm glad our girl is happy & has moved on with her life. Three years later, she, and B&E, are still going strong, and there's nothing in the world I could ask for but success for her in her endeavors, and for her well-being. Can YH, like, give us an update please? It's not really helping how we're all being left out of what's going on at YH. At this point, I'll accept all five boys not debuting together, esp since it seems like it would just bring about a polarizing reaction from fans.

2012 K-Pop 2012 K-Pop was definitely a period when K-Pop was quintessentially known for its vibrant quirkiness & infectiously catchy hits. This was a year in which late 2000's K-Pop was still present, but was reaching a new high. The groups were known for their colorful aspects (ex:f(x)'s Electric Shock, BigBang's Fantastic Baby), their in-sync dancing (ex: EXO's MAMA, Super Junior's Sexy, Free & Single), easily recognizable outfits (B.A.P's Warrior, SNSD's Dancing Queen) & insanely theatrical music videos (4Minute's Volume Up, Block B's Nillili Mambo.) I'd consider this a phase where K-Pop finally made its way to the world stage, and brought out every single aspect of itself for the world to see. YouTube had started to show its significance in spreading Hallyu, as well. While new groups were still being produced, this was when there was a key formula that helped groups make their way into the K-realm. Groups had the Musical Trinity (visuals, vocals, dancing skills) generally ingrained into their framework. 2017 K-Pop 2017 K-Pop, however, is moreso a culturally diverse re-incarnation of itself from way back when. While the formulas from 2012 are still evident, it's gotten not only more experimental, but also more internationally recognizable, with many different elements from multiple genres taking place. Another thing to add is that groups have MUCH more difficulty debuting this day & age, which in turn, allows them to branch out & discover both uncommon, and even unorthodox methods of bringing about attention. YouTube is now a vital part of indicating success of a group, with fans around the world having broader access to streaming & viewing their bias groups' content. It should be noted that there's also more focus on individual areas in the Musical Trinity (ex: A.C.E. & Infinite are known for their heavy-hitting dance skills, VIXX & LOONA are highly applauded for their artistically intricate MV aspects & visuals, while other groups like MAMAMOO & Day6 are widely praised for their robust vocals & delivering greatly executed notes.)
