  1. I'm talking more about future endeavours now that Irene's controversy happened and with the new girl group debut.
  2. Unfortunately I feel like this is going to be f(x) all over again. SM won't let go of Irene simply because she's pretty and she basically made her career out of it alone so it's likely SM will still make plenty of money from her once this whole situation dies down. Seulgi, Joy and Wendy will be stuck doing SM Station songs, CFs and variety appeareances and Yeri... well, Yeri better start making plans and searching for options.
  3. The fan wars over line distribuition would've been a hundred times worse than they already are and there would've been overlapping positions so it was for the best. Jinny would've suited them really well though and Hana deserved better from YG.
  4. Exactly. The concept is gorgeous but there was no need to photoshop her face like that.
  5. Too much photoshop going on but I loved this fairy/dreamy concept and the girl looks pretty, reminds me a bit of Tzuyu and Taeyeon. I wonder if it's indeed 4 members with each one representing a season (hopefully not since I'm rooting for a bigger group).
  6. I usually prefer smaller groups but considering SM track record with SNSD and EXO I feel like this might work. The most important thing is the music and here's hoping they start with something public friendly instead of a SMP track.
  7. Just watched the documentary and I really want to talk about it. I loved it and I think it had the right balance between "safe" content and a more personal look on the girls lives, experiences and opinions. Also I hope it brings the fandom closer together because I'm tired of seeing OT1 comments on every single Blackpink video I watch. Some of my opinions (slightly spoilers ahead): - Jisoo is seriously super strong willed, mature and street smart. The street smart part says so much about the way she carries herself as a celebrity and I was so surprised by the little insights she gave about her family. Not going into deep but it made sense to me she was the least open in the documentary. - I sensed a bit of loneliness and sadness coming from Jennie's parts and was also surprised about some things she mentioned about her family life that I hope that helps shatter the rich princess image she has. It was nice the documentary gave the opportunity for her to address indirectly some of the criticism she faced and it was easy to empathize with her. - Lisa seems like such a sweet, regular girl. The total opposite of her badass on stage persona. She seems like someone that would be easy to make friends with and very humble despite her crazy popularity. - Rosé was an open book and it was great to see (and also having somewhat of a confirmation) the preparations towards her solo music. She was so open and honest about her feelings and her passion about music was so genuine. Overall, I have no complains and hope there's a chance of a sequel a couple of years ahead. What were your thoughts about it?
  8. I'm very disappointed... both performances were underwhelming and low energy to the point Pretty Savage felt like I was watching a slowed down version of the video. It's even more jarring if you compare them with other YG groups.
  9. I heard the snippets somewhere else and the songs sound really promising! My only "concern" (between quotations because we're talking about very short snippets) is the line distribuition because I really don't want it to be a Jennie feat. the rest of the girls situation.
  10. It reminds me of Limitness, which is a good thing. Also why isn't Ten getting more lines? I was so surprised by how well he did in this, being able to sing the same part Baekhyun sang as well as he did is a big deal. lol, I ask myself the same question basically everytime there's a new release by SM. It's 2020, they've been doing this for ages and all their biggest hits weren't SMP songs. The only possible answer I could come up with is the fandoms eat this up.
  11. Loved it. I feel like this is something EXO could've done (without the rap parts, of course) which explains why I liked it so much.
  12. It's way too cutesy and I'm not a fan of Lisa's rapping on it. Kiss and Make Up remains the superior Blackpink collab.
  13. You have some of the most talented SM idols in this group and yet SM still manages to screw it up with terrible title track choices. A disjointed mess of a song, it's 2020 and I don't understand why they still insist in this type of sound.
  14. Loved the song (it is a bit generic indeed but very catchy), glad it isn't Teddy signature sound for once and it seems like their vocal line is super strong. The only problem I have is the concept, which I feel like I've seen a million times before. You would expect something more eye catching, creative and elaborated since it's very likely this group is really important to YG in terms of finding BigBang's successor.
  15. The fact BP are having a comeback so soon is enough to make me happy so I'm fine with basically anyone but I would love if it was Ariana
  16. She's too kind and polite to say anything bad about YG. I do believe though that many artists stay in the company or don't say anything bad about it when they leave because at least they were well paid and weren't overworked like their other peers.
  17. This is amazing, much better than Monster IMO and should've been the title track. The choreo is so impressive, I think it might be the most difficult one I've seen yet from SM girl group members.
  18. I think the biggest problem is that because of the pandemic people are playing AC compulsively when it seems like it's supposed to be played just a bit each day. Obviously no one is to blame for that but I feel like it can ruin the experience because there are only so many things you can do in a day and people start getting obssessive with creating beautiful islands and catching all the creatures/itens. Personally, I'm loving it. Usually I play 1 hour in the morning or/and another hour in the evening when I'm done with work and house chores. I have no ambition to make my island as gorgeous as the ones I've seen in the internet so I'm decorating it slowly and spending most of my time fishing or catching sea creatures.
  19. It's an unpopular opinion but IMO 4 Walls is much, much better than Pink Tape
  20. Queerbaiting aside, I liked the song and the overall concept but I feel like this should've been a Seulgi solo. She sounds really great on it so the transitions between her parts and Irene's are jarring.
  21. This mirrors the Lea Michele/Jonathan Groff situation with one being a massive bully and the other with the reputation of being the sweetest. I have a hard time grasping how a relationship like this works but IMO this could be the case of the cruel one knowing who to suck it up to (Seolhyun being the visual, it explains why Jimin would want to get closer to her since it was likely from the start that she would become one of the most popular members) and the sweet one also not being as sweet as people think.
  22. I love Jisoo but I actually thought she looked more stiff and awkward in this comeback. It doesn't bother me though because her voice and personality make up for it (also it's not like it's noticeable to the point it ruins the performances) but IMO she's more suited for concepts like AIYL and Boombayah.
  23. This makes me think of how scary the situation must have been. So far a cut version of this snippet was the only "evidence" (between quotations since it clearly can't be consided real evidence) people were able to dig about Jimin not liking Mina. This means Jimin was able to hide such vicious behavior in front of the camera for 10 effing years... this is insane. I wonder how many idols are like her, completely different and mean behind the scenes, and we have no idea.
  24. This apology impossible to buy considering Mina's words about this whole situation and the coldness of the Fiction story Jimin herself posted. Ngl, I'm a bit worried about people excusing what she did and discrediting Mina's experience with the excuse she's "mentally unstable" (which is something that it's already starting to happen based on this thread).
