The thing is that even people who pull off this type of fashion, like Jennie, Dua Lipa or the Hadids, look much better with different styling. It's not flattering at all.

D.O. - Rose

The song isn't bad at all but it's very basic and he's capable of so, so much more
-
I don't think it's that bad but it also proves to me they could use adding more members to the group
-
It would've been much better if he admitted he's lacking and will work hard to give better vocal performances in the future instead of saying this. He's making excuses which makes him look silly because admitting the truth wouldn't be a big deal since his debut as a soloist is still recent and there's plenty of time for him to improve.

As lovely as Forever was, I hope their comeback is a banger instead of a ballad. Also is it for sure they are going to remain as 4?
-
It definitely seems like she's hired as an actress so she's going to be fine
-
I think they would've gotten bigger if they got better title tracks regardless of them being self produced or made by other producers

I really like everything I've seen from Daniel's personality but if Twice got so much heat after their encore then he deserves to be called out too and Twice at least had the excuse of being extremely busy since their debut. Also one thing is hate and a whole another is valid criticism, which is important for him to become a better soloist.

Good singers are definitely more important to me since I listen to songs more than watch performances. Also the thing is that kpop performance standards are so high that the worst dancer from the group is still way better at it than the most popular worldwide stars. Usually the "bad" dancer blends in the background and doesn't take anything away from the performance.
Take Jin or Tiffany for example, idols who were always criticized for not being good dancers, both have energy on stage and keep up with the choreography and it's hard for a casual fan to notice the difference between them and some of the members of their group right away.

Such a good comeback. It might be one my favorite SHINee title tracks along with View.

I feel like Jennie is better suited for half of these ads (Sprite, Chum Chorum Soju) and Suzy for the other half (Vita500, Dashing Diva) so I basically don't see any difference between how well they sell the products. They are both good at it but there's other factors such as make-up, design, fashion, type of product etc.

I doubt the GG is going to be the female equivalent of BTS [concept] no matter under Bighit or not. That's not how they've been marketed or pushed so far. Min Heejin x Bighit x Somu collab is why people have been excited [hyped] for years now. Even before the rebranding.
The new girl group like other junior groups are benefiting from the association of being connected with BTS. Yes, saying Bighit made things easy since people basically already think Bighit = BTS in Korea. But I suspect kmedia will still find a way to mention BTS (or even Bighit) somewhere ^^
I just feel like they could've been benefitting even more if the association was more clear and obvious to the public. They don't have (and shouldn't) to be a straight up copy of BTS but, just like 2NE1 who debuted after BigBang, people would love to see a gg who embodied their concepts and sound. IMO by having they debut in another label, even it's a sub label, it makes the association more distant and created less excitement and interest about their debut.

This is really cute, catchy and it should've been their sound from the start. SM needs to understand less is more when it comes to title tracks and concepts.
-
Uh, it would bring the group much more hype if it's marketed as Big Hit's new girl group rather than another agency's (even if they technically are the same thing) new gg even if Min Hee Jin is a household name. IMO people would be very curious about a new girl group from the same people who made BTS, the female equivalent of them and this decision goes against it.

She's obviously really talented and seem like a sweet person but I feel like if you listen to one IU upbeat song then you've heard them all and the same goes for her ballads. I have a hard time grasping how it is to listen to her entire albums in one seat.

It is a bummer, but like when i see articles like '' A bumped into female idol B'' and netizens be jumping to stupid conclusions, I am not surprised they are so cautious....
Yeah, we can't put the blame completely on the companies since this situation is part of a bigger problem. I just think it sucks because it makes more difficult for idols and groups to stand out since they are all stuck doing the same fanservice and saying the same scripted things.
-
OP clearly has a lot of feelings about this but has forgotten the most important difference (and maybe the only difference) from rookies these days and older generations of kpop. They are so media trained to the point their variety shows have becoming boring and stale. I get social media and everything being analyzed under a microscope is a big reason why this is happening but it's still a bummer.
SUJU for example had many comebacks with songs and styling that would make you you cringe but they've always been spontaneous and fun to watch. The same goes for SHINee, BigBang and many other boy groups.
-
I agree, Crystal was super boring. At the same time watching it made me realize how much the fillers from the 90s version added to the plot and the characters... it's been ages since it was released, I've watched countless animes since then and I'm still yet to see a better portrayal of teenage girls in anime. It obviously has some flaws but overall I think it aged really well.
-
Definitely the intro because it's important to give a good impression right off the bat. I feel like the conclusion is the easiest part because it's more formulaic and it's something you naturally figure out as you write the content.

As expected, I loved it. It reminds me of Baby Baby, which is one of my favorites Winner title tracks ever, and it really showcases his voice.
-
The performances are making the song grow on me. Rosé is doing a really good job on her own.
-
lol, SHINee is also giving hilarious ending fairy shots in their most recent comeback. I'm sure for seniors idols this trend must be awkward and a bit too much.
-
It's exhausting watching those competition shows and I'm done with it but I'll be watching the performances because I'm sure they are going to be epic
-
I'm loving those videos but it's crazy to me that his solo album is only happening now. It's truly absurd.

The members went through a lot with several survival shows, Taehyun leaving and most of them don't come from well off families. I can totally see why they would decide to stay instead of starting from scratch in another company. This is steady pay without being overworked.
