Such a good looking couple but both HYBE and YG were smart for not commenting on it. We know this means a confirmation but it seems like it's new, they are young and why risk creating a full blown meltdown between both fandoms right now? It's better to leave room for some mystery (or denial). Once it becomes serious like it did with Taeyang and Min Hyorin, then it's fair for the company to provide a statement.

Le Sserafim to temporarily continue without Kim Garam (DUMP)
sinnfb replied to drakan's topic in Netizen Nation
I guess HYBE/SoMu is doing the same thing SM did with Lucas, which is an indefinite hiatus. Big difference here is that Lucas at least had a considerable amount of fans who spent money on him (lol, literally considering the reason of his controversy), which could explain (not justify, but explain) SM's position while Garam has nobody and nothing backing her up to explain this decision. She's not talented and she's not a big stan attractor. I guess HYBE thought she could've been the visual because she fits korean beauty standards perfectly, but she's not even that since she got easily overshadowed by Kazuha. It seems obvious she must be connected to powerful people, it's the only thing that would explain what HYBE is doing. -
The way companies usually handle bullying scandals is just so terrible I don't buy HYBE truly has relevant information that could help Garam's case. They thought they would get away by threatening the victim and by keeping the promotions as if nothing happened and, IMO, their statement is just a way to buy times so they can finally do inevitable, which is kicking her out.

[enter-talk] LOOKS LIKE TWICE WILL BE RENEWING;;;
sinnfb replied to Mrs. Morale's topic in Netizen Nation
Considering what happens with pretty much every big idol group once they reach the end of their original contract, you don't have to be a hater to speculate some members might not be renewing. I think it's still early to tell. At the same time JYP was smart to always promote them as a package deal so the girls might find it difficult to start over under another agency by themselves, the SNSD girls always speak proudly of the group even if most of them are not in SM anymore so I guess we will have to wait and see. -
[NB] SM unveils plans for a new boy group debut this year
sinnfb replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
I want to be excited about this because SM has an eye for charisma and vocalists but it's hard to be optimistic considering how they insist on releasing the messiest, most busy title tracks that leave me with little to no desire to check the rest of the group's music. Also considering how Next Level and Savage were so successful, I'm afraid they are going to push this type of sound even more. -
Totally agree. Also at the same time it seems petty of the girls to be that bothered about Jessica's clothing line considering they all had individual activities, we don't know how much money Jessica would make and how much freedom she would have compared to the other girls with their individual activities. Without knowing the details, it's difficult to take sides and IMO the most important thing people should take from this is not to believe the sisterhood or brotherhood image idol group sells, especially if we are talking about groups with many members. It should be obvious by now but it's easy to be fooled because the companies are masterminds when it comes to this type of marketing. This is a job and just like any regular job, you can be lucky and make friends with some of your co-workers along the way but many of them will be passersby in your life.

Next Level in the same way other weird SM songs like Ring Ding Dong and IGAB also became iconic

[PC] Alleged bully victim comments on Kim Garam's YouTube fancam video
sinnfb replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
I don't think her parents need to be rich and influential to make HYBE hesitate to kick her out. When an idol or actor is accused of bullying, there's a pattern of agencies trying as much as they can to bury the scandal, most likely because they already invested a huge amount of money on training and promoting said idol or actor. After what happened with Lovelyz's Jisoo we need to be very careful when it comes to bullying accusations but at the same time, assuming HYBE is indeed investigating the case, she should be kicked out immediately if found guilty. Soojin represented a much bigger loss talent and charisma-wise to G-Idle than Garam to Le Sserafim and they managed to comeback stronger than ever. There's absolutely no excuse to keep a bully on the group.- 15 replies

perf-k LE SSERAFIM - 'Blue Flame'+'FEARLESS' (Debut Stage) | MCountdown 220505
sinnfb replied to kimsguardian's topic in Music
I like how all the girls shine equally and there's no clear center. My only complain is how basic the clothes are. -
At this point, it has become clear they have a lot more to lose by not enlisting. One day the international fans will move on to the next big boyband and they will need all the love they can get from their own country if they want to keep longevity. Also if they enlist one by one I'm pretty sure most of the members will have successful solo albums so the cash will keep on flowing. BigBang is an example of how this worked really well for them as group, making them having even more hype when they make group comebacks.

I loved it. It's not an explosive debut such as ITNW, Fire, Boombayah/Whistle or Glass Bead but it's solid and all the girls were charismatic. That said, the MV deserved a higher budget and the girls' more sophisticated clothes since the song would go so well with a chic concept.

The fundamental questions mentioned in the post are really good points and make me think a good criteria should be getting the top worldwide award in your category. If you're a singer, that would be a Grammy and if you are an actor, a Golden Globe, Oscar or Emmy. Whether we like it or not, even if they are very US centered (and had many questionable wins in the past) those are the most prestigious awards and the highest honor a celebrity can get.
-
Agree with the comments they should just enlist and get it over with. The 7 of them are really popular on their own, they can perfectly release sub-units and solo albums without taking a huge hit financially. If they don't enlist it will always be a stain in their image with Korea, which not only be dumb when it comes to their success' longevity but a shame considering everything they accomplished.
-
Very boring. The girl is expressionless and you would expect a higher budget for those teasers.
-
I just hope that by starting fresh this includes comebacks with them as 4 and not only their solo careers.
-
Taeyang and Daesung sound amazing on it but yeah... it's a beautiful ballad, deserved to be part of an album but definitely not title track material, especially considering we're talking about their first comeback in ages. In fact, it's more like an apology letter so they can test the waters to see if they can start fresh than a proper comeback.
-
The way SM handles NCT is bizarre, just plain inexplicable. We know they have producers who can make good, solid pop music so why they insist on giving NCT those terrible title tracks? Does it actually help them gain more young fans? I just don't get it.

It's unfortunate but it seems like Next Level created an awful trend. Not even JYP escaped and I'm surprised because I've never heard this type of music coming from their groups.

Killing Stalking manhwa to become a kdrama
sinnfb replied to My Everything's topic in Movies & Television
I'm betting they are going to keep the gore and censor the porn, which is fine by me because (while I realize it's the manhwa's main drawn) I thought the explicit scenes were unnecessary. I'm more worried about people watching this and romantizing or thinking it needs to send a message when it's just the telling of a brutal, extremely messed up story. -
[PC] [enter-talk] AREN'T JUNG HAEIN AND JISOO WAY TOO CLOSE?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
sinnfb replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
They would make a very good looking couple but I feel like Jisoo is an extrovert and friendly like this with everyone she seems close with -
[NB]Netflix's 'All of Us Are Dead' ranks #1 in 46 countries
sinnfb replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
The acting from the main girl is so, so bad to the point it's distracting but the zombie chasing scenes make up for it. It's definitely a addictive, bingeable show. Also Lee Yoo-Mi really shines in it.
