It's funny cause other rookie groups seem to get taller and taller, DSP groups tend to be shorter and cuter. Hyunjoo is the definition if short and cute. She looks super pretty this come-back! Loved her hair in the teasers.

Hahaha the guy is soooo skinny, and a bit too tall and lanky. A slightly shorter guy would've been better. Why they chose a random white guy? Who knows. But the girls looks awesome!!!

my two cents from another thread: My favorite theory is that for some reason or another DSP has kicked her out of the group, even though they have never kicked someone out of one of their groups before. I also like the theory that DSP think's she too old for April when they put her in the group in the first place. You would think something as important as "group image/dynamics" would be something a company considers greatly. I don't think they put her in April just to decide a couple months later "nah, she's too old" Both Somin and April will be just fine. Somin's survived a lot so far, she can get through this too.

Well I can't say she's the strongest singer but I think she's decent in kpop terms. She's good enough to be given lines in songs IMO, and I think I need better dances from them to really judge. I think right now, I can say Yena is the strongest dancer but I feel like Hyunjoo is probably a better dancer than what Dream Candy conveys. I feel like she's the equivalent of Yoona for April right now, not the best at anything, but definitely adds something to the group. I agree that DSP told her to sit out on Baby Kara, but I don't know what she came into DSP as in terms of "singing" or "acting" so it's hard to say. I guess we have to wait and see as April progresses how DSP shapes her image.

Yes I agree, which is why I was wondering if people think she can gain popularity without appearing on much variety shows. She wasn't that prominent in OnApril but I think she's a quiet type who doesn't seek a lot of attention, she just does her job and gets on with it. I wonder if she was a trainee for singing all 2 years or was she an acting talent since DSP had merged/formed partnership with that one talent agency for acting. I'm still curious as to why she didn't participate in BabyKara, I have a strong suspicion that she was probably one of the first members decided for April or whatever concept of April they had going at the time and couldn't participate.

should we have some discussion in here also? I'm wondering what type of variety shows DSP will put Hyunjoo in? I wonder if she can get by without much variety shows like Yoona or Jessica from SNSD or even Suzy who doesn't do much variety? I'm interested to see what type of solo activities she gets as the group gets more fans and invited to more shows.

Honestly the whole thing with Tencent is SM's fault so I wish no groups got hate for it. Knowing SM, they weren't willing to have their groups perform more than a certain amount of songs for the fee or percentage of the profits they were getting so only had f(x) sing 3 songs even though they were the headliners... Nothing to do with Dal Shabet or April...DSP says that SM agreed upon the schedule and set-up so f(x) fans should see what SM has to say about this.

LOL Naeun's hand is bigger than her head she and Hyunjoo have such tiny heads. And HYUNJOOO IS SO SMALL OMG! CAN I PLEASE JUST HAVE HER!! And Yena and her shot short...lol it's her trademark IMO.

I've noticed that everyone seems rather pleased with Aprils promotions. Seems like there were some management changes from DSP. Or atleast some changes in the Marketing/Promotional department. I hope DSP can go up from here. Everyone talks about SM's artist but there was a time where DSP actually (sort of) had the upper hand. Hopefully they can get back to that. I really like those customized April totes the girls carry around too! People don't realize how those little details help to create a solid group image. DC inside also talks about the antis too but it seems they see them as a short term problem LOL.

I've been loving dcinside because of all the Hyunjoo and Jinsol pics!! Hope everyone can check them out! But Yena has a lot of fans over there too, and it seems all of them have incorporated "Yena" into their usernames lol I think the usnername "Yenaeun" was clever. It's also pretty active over there so it helps keep you up to date.

Ugh, Pann is so fickle. I bet in like 2 weeks or after a very good variety show appearance they will do a complete 180 and everyone will love April.

Honestly speaking, I think that in general people get uncomfortable when a group not from the "Big4" comes out and does really well. It kind of ruins the automatic X group is better than Y group because they come from Company A thing they have going on in their heads. When they see that idols from other agency's don't always have o depend on brand loyalty than it makes them nervous. Also April is doing a supposed "tired" concept and excelling at it. You can hear it in the fanchants; they have a good amount of interest in them already. Other groups have had to do more for less so some people are defensive or overly critical.

I'm really proud of the debut! The girls did such a great job! I'm glad it seems like they are attracting quite a loyal following so soon, it's super important for these first few promotions.

I saw the dislike bar and was SUPER surprised ( I can't imagine anyone not loving Hyunjoo alone) but the fact that people are also making all these random topics about "boring/same/tired" concept, it just makes me roll my eyes, they only started doing it since April started doing well. We've got an immensely talented and extremely pretty group on our hands so we have to be prepared for the anti-rush. But from what kpop history teaches us, a gg can't be successful without having a bunch of anti's first. LOL
