  2. not sure if this was posted before... I've been neglecting this thread.... does anyone know where these are from? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3V0vUsYBWU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5HiOZbJ-9g Also, Naeun looks super stylish here LOL
  3. I'm worried about that to. She misses a lot of days/things. I hope she doesn't have some sort of chronic illness.
  4. She probably looks better in person with the high bun style, some people with smaller, more egg shaped faces look better with their hair pulled back. I bet in person, it really shows off her features more. She still looks pretty in pics with the high-bun though. It also helps her standout as "center" as subliminal marketing. It's definitely done on purpose though.
  5. ...Wow, he should've done this with Mayu... She has the most post-AKB potential to me after Mayuyu because of her height, she's also IMO up there with Mayu as the prettiest, though Mayu is still cutest I think.
  6. Yeah, DSP sucks at media play. They really don't do it. They didn't do it with KARA and they didn't do it with SS501. They did it with Rainbow but incorrectly (the terrible article about them being an "improved" version of KARA) and then never did it again. I think DSP is very sensitive to mediaplay and the internal strife it can inflict on the group if it only goes towards certain members, and I also think they are more savvy about how the general public reacts to media-play but media play is necessary in this era and even if people complain about it, at least they still know of the group/are constantly hearing about them. The girls are doing a good job of promoting themselves in a way but DSP can afford to help out. Their media/communications department needs to work on cultivating relationships with the big media outlets so that more articles about April can get out to the press. Just because they had a bad experience with media play once, doesn't mean they can't try again.
  7. The intention was probably to house April in that dorm, which is probably what Jaekyung is going by. She can't know for sure because well, she doesn't live there anymore. But I'm sure when the Rainbow members were moving out, some DSP operations employee made a comment like "we can just put April/future girl group here" especially if they had a good lease price. I'm thinking it's just assumption on JK's part. There is no way she can know for sure unless she helped them move in. It's like when you move out of your house to move to college and you assume one of your younger sisters who was sharing a room will take your old one, only to find out, she moved out too. Probably since April is smaller as a group, DSP found a smaller place with cheaper lease price.
  8. Really? Seems like Yena and Hyunjoo is more popular in K-fandom...who knows?
  9. I think the whole "leader" thing is extremely exaggerated in Kpop. What are their real duties as leader aside from waking everyone up on time? They have a manager who does exactly that, manages them. The leader role is just an arbitrary role assigned to someone in the group when they don't necessary fit into a specific mold and/or are the oldest. Being the leader doesn't give you any more power in the group than the other girls. In many groups, the leader is the least popular and holds less weight in the eyes of the company in terms of ability to make $$$. I don't see all the tension everyone is talking about though, so maybe that's it? The role of a true leader isn't something you just assign based on age, it's something that has to come naturally to someone in the group. Someone that everyone in the group feels like they can trust. April didn't train together that long and have just debuted so IMO it makes sense if the "leader" figure isn't clear yet. But IMO Somin was not that happy in April and I think being the "leader" made her feel stressed and pressured because it forced her to "get along" with everyone, and not to say that she hated them all and they didn't like each other because clearly they do, but that's a huge expectation to put on someone her age for people she's known for a short period of time.
  10. And it's not even that they don't have a good record, they just don't have the same brand of "cult" following that a lot of other companies can rely on for album sales even if the songs don't do well digitally. DSP has to do both well and each group has to earn their fans. DSP isn't in that category where people will like a group and follow them just because they are from DSP. Which, honestly speaking, is why IMO, KARA had such a distinct sound, they had to build up an image and concept and sell it, they couldn't just release anything and have people buy it. Anyways, I agree, April has had a really great year. I know people attribute the higher album sales to the fansigns but the way I see it is, that in general, more people are willing to spend money to see/support April which is always a good sign. Even if they are having a fan-sign, if you don't like them/care about them/know them, you won't buy anything either way. So I'm happy for them and proud of them. Hope 2016 is even better!
  11. I'm so late to Thai Dramas....I'm actually liking them more than Korean drama's lately. Definitely think I'm a Chompoo fan/ Mint Chalida fan. I just started watching Cubic and also plan to watch Ronapee w/ Mint and James Ma. Yeah, mint is dating a "hi-so" so I doubt she will break up with him...Mario is still more handsome though lol.
  12. DSP should media play about Hyunjoo's visual more...I know people might not agree, but IMO, a lot of "visual" decisions (difference between being a Suzy, Yoona, Hara and some other attractive but not "visual" member) get determined based on media play, some people are naturally pretty, but until there is widespread agreement that this person is pretty, than they are just another pretty face in a gang of pretty faces.
  13. popular pic on DC gall right now of the bae:
  14. Hyunjoo got a good amount of lines in the snowman song! I'm happy for her! I know we speculated here that she was probably one of the least polished members coming into DSP but it seems like she's practicing hard and DSP is giving her lines that fits her voice!
  15. Did anyone here watch 2 spirits love? Is anyone here dying for more Mint X Mario....is anyone wanting them to dump their respective partners and marry each other? .... no...just me? ...I'll slink out silently.
  16. We would all die if he was driving...this fool ain't looked at the road ONCE in this whole collage. Now don't get me wrong... I love it...just stating the facts.
  17. I think this is reflective of them building a strong fan-base foundation but not necessarily being well-known to the public just yet. They haven't done much promotion for Muah outside of music shows so the fact that it's even selling this well is really good. This is the same thing DSP struggled with during KARA early days. Actually, some of KARA's earlier albums/singles sold decently, they just didn't have a lot of public popularity-so people didn't pay them much attention but they DID have fans.
  18. Super excited about a new song!! It'll be good if they can promote pretty consistently in the first year. In this time where groups come out every week, you can't really afford to take long breaks like the older/more senior groups used to do. I'd really like for DSP to get them on more shows though.
  19. Hope these haven't been posted! Thanks for the fancams!
  20. I'm wondering if Inki was going to cut the comeback stage and DSP decided that the small bit of air-time wasn't worth it? Or maybe they had a disagreement with SBS? I want to see them on more variety shows for sure! I feel like they've been pretty absent this comeback from variety shows and such, be I also don't know the schedule. They could be recording for things and I just don't know. Either way, I think this comeback is going pretty well and Muah! is a great song for a cosmetics/skincare CF.
  21. I wonder how come people ran away during the group photo? It looks cold outside though, so it's nice that people came out!!
  22. And being honest that they probably loss some fans due to Somin's departure. That's why it's smart for DSP to put them right back out there as five and start over. They are still in the very early stages so I'm not worried about them yet. They are just few months old, they still need to pick up fans and gain stronger presence.
