SM I don' t think will shrink away from big name programs. I think they have too much pride for that, they may hold off for a while, but sooner or later I think they'll go on. If that happens, there may be blunt/harsh questions asked under a veil of friendliness. "Oh? Where's Kris? You're here as OT11?"

He probably doesn't, but that doesn't mean SM won't flex their muscles where they can and try to make it harder for him in other places he goes. If they could convince enough Chinese fans to go against him there'd be trouble. Don't think they can though... TBH I"m a bit nervous. In China, China line were the guys, the Chinese MC's...I prefer Happy camp to some Korean varieties, but the mc's can be rather blunt. They don't beat around the bush at times, so I'm a bit apprehensive...

Kai and the infamous dark skinned joke....and then he plasters himself on kai as his number one fanboy. Sorry, not sorry. That was....very awkward. To his credit i think he realized after a point he'd pissed kai off, but too little too late. He's not as...manipulative as Leeteuk ...well no...that isn't the word for it..he isn't as calculating. Leeteuk is very selective with his words and who he plays up to. Chanyeol just latches. He's got a learning curve, I'll give him that, and he is young so there's that too. But KRIS I finally found images of my fav style. Kris make this "your style" more often damn it

They very well could be...Exo's return to happy camp...I dont know...I'm waiting for that with baited breath. Chinese Mc's seem...a bit bolder in some ways, or perhaps that's just my perception....

Oh im not trying to be insulting, but i do think his on screen personality is vastly different from off. Do i hate him for knowing how to use media? Not at all, but i will concede its a bit annoying for me at times lol, it's like "Dude, stop. You're trying too hard." lol. I think some things he does are real, but he's shrewd I'll give him that, and like Kris is allowed to look out for himself, so is Chanyeol.

Oh I saw, some on the billboard article that certainly was one sided....but if the writer's commissioned....still stinks. I don't know if Kris has anything to reveal or not, it may be nothing more than SM wanting to send a message that if you burn their bridge they will in turn burn all bridges you may have in their home country. They did something similar to JYJ who still, although SM isn't blacklisting them anymore, dont appear on music shows simply because those shows dont want to lose or risk losing SM artists. Since Kris isn't from Korea like JYJ, I think they just want to insure he won't be able to freely/easily work or be seen in Korean television again.

Very true, but there isn't a whole lot you can do when the boss says "This needs to be done". Of course they are in charge of their words and actions, i think it would be more "recommended" that if they mention kris, mention the harm he's caused or focus on the negatives...so those who stayed quiet or broached it carefully, I will applaud . I think when the waters cool and fans actually follow through on "not caring and focusing on their biases" (seriously, so many people claim "bye kris" then still double back to insult him...time to move on. It's old news now), we'll see a more moderate dealing when it comes to Kris. (maybe lol)

lol, i'm old myself. Of course collegues first before friends. I mean, they were all trainees who, if it is to be believed, are told NOT to get close to one another because god knows who will debut and who wont. So in that sense, they're already cultivating the "Work" relationship over the friend dynamic. Only to be put in a group...well new groups can sink or swim real easily, so you're still (i think) goal driven and then later on as you hang out/work together and success is more assured, then you maybe start forming friendships amongst co-workers. The "We are one" slogan was bs propaganda and too many people actually bought it.

I think you pretty much nailed it. Although with Tao I feel he didn't think before he posted. He and Kris were quite close and I don't believe it was all for the camera's sake either. I feel Tao just vented all of his feelings as he was feeling them rather publicly. Pretty sure he knows/knew (or highly suspected) Kris would find out and that was his way of letting Kris (moreso even than fans know) how pissed off he was, at the same time though I don't think he "turned his back" either....he's human and he is immature. He said something in a moment of hurt and rage and someday he may want to take it back or alter it (if he doesn't already). But that might be me. As for Suho...while M was promoting in China and coming to Korea and Kris still had his leader title...I feel there was some competition there...I don't think Kris was all that into competing with him though, or else he just acted like he didn't notice in front of the camera. Impossible to know what went on bts. When Kris wasn't a leader anymore...Suho seemed to calm down a lot...and he seemed a bit...arrogant isn't the right way to say it, but more secure, I guess. Chanyeol....that boy >>. I truly believe he's faking his personality for the camera sake. Please tell me i'm not the only one who has seen the way he clings to whoever is most popular? I don't hate him or dislike him for it as I don't really know him, but the suspicion I have is enough to make me disinterested in him. In the DVD i have....he kinda...plays up the people around him to control the screen time, if ever he can insert himself, he seems to. Honestly, I bought the dvd for kris and china line...but it feels like the chanyeol show at times. Chen and Luhan I think had a big inkling as to what was going down and why...but I doubt they'll ever breathe a word of it...maybe decades in the future for a reunion show they finally will, but not now while they're still riding the currents of their popularity. Do I think EXO is fake with each other? No, but on camera interactions won't be the same as private ones, and they're such a big group they may not all be bff's with one another (suju even stated they aren't all close with each other. Different groups just hang with others, ect). I'd like to think that however angry they may be with Kris, none of them hate him...he worked with them for 2 years...you can't take that all away simply because he left. They may feel pain, bitterness, and anger, but true hate is something I think is very hard to funnel for a long time. Kris' actions now may make all the memories he's made up to that point take a sour hue, but they're still there and I don't think any of the exo guys really hate him....again though, all my own speculation.

Lol, I have friends irl that are as bout as close to Tao's level of clinginess...and it is exhausting, they may not even be as bad as Tao or anything (Since i don't know him ect), but just knowing someone who IS clingy is...it's tiring lol. I feel like a baby sitter and i kinda get that vibe from Kris..like "Oh shit, Tao's at it again, who gave him the sugar? Stop it". I feel like Kris has/had a lot of patience and truly was close to Tao, but the romance thing a lot of "Shippers" tag to them? Nah, not diggin it XD.

Not too sure, maybe invited by those they know/associate with within EXO? Be kinda weird if they had just tagged along for the hell of it and for the photo op. I would think if they're there, it's to support their friends, and if they're at the after party then they were probably just invited along. Or else the after party could have been an idea the friends in the crowd generated as a way to congratulate them all for their hard work and such.

lol Taoris is painful to me...it's cute in an older brother/clingy younger brother who oh so desperately wants big bro to notice him sorta way...romantic...eh...it's obvious Tao is the only one working in that and fighting a loosing battle. Aside from that..I like DO/Kris, Baek/Kris, and Lay/Kris a lot lol Yeah....it's not fair...hence why i stick to M vids lol

In Korea, favoratism goes to K, and I understand it...but they took all of M from their main playing field and shafted them all..I kinda feel like Kris got the biggest blow. Their clips in showtime (solo clips) were far less imo than those of K...and again, I get it. K members are just that: Korean. They're working in their home country, it's fair to receive attention...or not so much fair as in understandable business wise why they would be. Culturally there is more understanding and such there vs with M...but to pull someone's title completely and be like "Thanks for all your work in China...but by the way, here you're just a member trying to get by?" eeee, a bit harsh I think. I mean, Tao can hold his own, Lay and Luhan are popular and know how to work it,...but i feel like Kris never really seemed to play the game very well...if that makes sense. And part of it may be he was just never that interested...but if you don't play it a little, you don't gain anything either so to speak.

I don't know if this is too stereotypical, and if so I apologize, but people tend to gravitate towards others that are similar to them...when I was in Japan the people that were "suspected" or acted "suspiciously" of being gay stuck together pretty close...of course as an outsider, when I asked them directly about the rumors they denied, but another friend of mine who was and hung out with them said they just didn't tell people they weren't close with...you "knew", but as long as they didnt do anything in public or whatnot people just wrote them off/looked at them without really seeing kinda thing. That's just my own experience though and in reference to the above...maybe it isn't too far fetched to say that in a celebrity circle they can form their own group of sorts? Of course I don't know if those listed are truly gay or not, it's all speculation, and Kyuhyun's never pinged me, but he is friends with Mi and I don't think he'd hate someone who was gay, may not be super comfortable with it, but would leave a friend simply because they came out....though Donghae...pretty sure the guys' bi. At least.
-
I kinda feel that in the celebrity inner circle, it's gotta be rather tight, networking works wonders and all....and no matter how "stubborn" some Koreans may seem at excusing what's before them....I feel like they do know, or have an inkling, but they don't want to go there. Sort of like "If you don't confirm it, it isn't true, so we wont ask", so they can keep acting as if he's straight? Idk if I'm doing a good job of explaining my thoughts. Sorry.
-
I felt there was some tired resignation there, like "Was I ever really the leader? Or was it an illusion" I mean, he was EXO M leader, and then it was pulled out from under him and Suho was the now, unconditional leader? Really. Not very fair, and for a guy who im sure heard quite often he was "useless" he could at least say "I am the leader" and in fact even some anti's acknowledged that "He's the useless leader", but "Leader" still holds some weight as a top position, as someone in charge and responsible...and then he wasn't anymore and he was just "Useless"...but I may be reading far, FAR too much into it. He said it rather resigned, but maybe he meant to deliver it that deadpanned to make it funnier? I don't know. But I didn't laugh when he said that. Note: I'm not bashing Suho for his slot. At all.

Yes they do. SM and the other big names have a formula that sells really well, especially to their target audiences and if you get them while they're young, I'm noticing a lot of them stay on. It's more money in their coffers, and I don't begrudge a business per se, I begrudge bad practices and this turning the other cheek to bad behavior done by "fans" and by management/staff. I've been in kpop for a while and I've seen this explosion before with the Kibum/suju (though that was quieter), hangeng/suju, tvxq/jyj, and now kris/exo splits. How soon lessons are forgotten....

✾ The Official Zhang Yixing ( 张艺兴) Thread ✾Pokemon Party OUT NOW!✾
katz replied to Ddeona Oneul Bame's topic in Artists
1. He's a top bias, but not ultimate. I really don't have an "ultimate" the top bias spot for me tends to rotate. He's always in the top 3 though and the "Bias I pay attention to the most" is pretty weekly lol. I'm too selfish to have an "ultimate" 2. During the Chinese variety programs, he's quiet in Korea and doesn't get a lot of screen time there, but when it comes to China? OMG he's a tattle tale, no one is safe and I LOVED how he threw Kris under the bus so much. 3. Of course, I don't leave biases easily, you have to do something pretty nasty for me to peace out (Like kick a puppy or something) -
There's nothing wrong with being enthusiastic, but the level of delusion and sense of entitlement is where the line gets crossed. By all means keep enjoying Kpop as a music genre. It's what I do. I still have my biases and such, and I still get enthusiastic, but when crap like this happens, it's good to remain level headed and remind yourself that "You don't know them and you don't own them." People. Not pets. Some people get sucked into the illusion of everything being a wonderland they forget it's a business I think.

Oh i know, we have, as have the haters, but seriously, quit beating a dead horse. Nothing new has come out, just rumors (which were denied) yet even so sharks think they are smelling blood and have come to proclaim "See we were right omg you guys were stupid, heart condition? HA.......".............For real? It was a denied rumor. If i had jumped on that as a hater and was proven wrong (as most were) I'd be apologizing and thinking "Gee, maybe I should wait for CONFIRMED things."

That's similar to me, I considered myself more "into" Kris, but not so much a fan as to come on here much and then all it went down and with all the mudslinging I started defending him more since there's no reason to attack someone because they have a change in goals. No they don't, they pick and choose how to use the information. For the whole DBSK thing it was "unjust" but in Kris' case, he's a wuss and betrayer, ect and SM is now justified because they changed the terms a bit? Yeah, not too sure it should work like that. If no one likes him, then why waste the time? I find it exhausting to hate people, takes a lot out of me so i avoid the ones i don't like irl, but this is someone no one even knows irl and to hate him this intensely is....messed up. His life is his own, we don't know all the contract details and it's a job. You're allowed to leave if you aren't satisfied, it's not the end of the world, though with how some act, you may think it is.

They're all throwing hateful words around so easily, it's disgusting. Come on people, aren't we better than this? He isn't a "traitor" for wanting a career change. Oh my lord, Exo is fine, fine, fine. Leave the guy alone, he isn't stirring the waters, ironically enough everyone else is doing that well enough for him. Sweet lord, the levels EXO fandom has fallen at times...i can't.

Eh, I'm glad your experience was better. They were downright nasty about the whole tvxq/jyj thing when I was around more then, and too their articles don't usually give the whole story (to be fair a lot dont/only give one main side, but they seem to actually omit info in their translations). It was an alright article imo.
