  1. If people want a bias that knows how to do good PR, I'm pretty sure they can stop looking once they discover who Tao is XD. Seriously, giving chocolate to fans? Posing for pics with a little girl, signing....yeah...he knows how to get into a crowds good graces (lol).
  2. Haha, VIXX thread! Late to the party, but whatever. I'm gonna camp/lurk here for a while. Don't mind me XD.
  3. I don't hate, but unpopular opinion time; Those on my "i don't care a lick about you" list are: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol. Ever since the lawsuit everyone's been playing up Suho's leader skills....unpopular opinion round 2 (bring on the negs): I think he's a bad leader. I say this for these reasons: 1. No one in EXO listens to him well. At all. 2. It's only recently they've begun to slightly change. 3. Under his "leadership" not only has Kris peaced out, but we have the mini Kai scandal (n word anyone?) and Baekhyun "scandal" (which isn't even a scandal at all. Boo hoo, delulu fans had their bubble burst). By comparison, look at suju and tvxq, their LEADERS were doing a crap ton of PR (no doubt at SM's bidding, but still) and keeping a semi "open" line with fans to assure them things were okay (moreso admittedly after the lawsuit with tvxq was settled, so maybe i can give Suho the benefit of the doubt on this one). I haven't seen or heard anything from Suho. And really, I will admit, some of this is vexation at just how many people are coming out of the wood work to applaud and cry over Suho's perceived struggles and shit. I don't wish him ill, but I don't see him as a leader. Not yet anyway. As for Baekhyun, I find him rude and immature. Granted, he's young and he can change, and he never should have gotten half the shit he did for this dating scandal, but I still don't like him. Don't hate him, but I don't like him. I'm open to change though...but he isn't even on my radar yet. Chanyeol, one word: fake. I would rather you be an honest asshole than a horrid liar. Again though, he's young and he can change, so, don't hate him, but i don't keep a vigillante eye out for him either. Aside from them, I don't "dislike" anyone else from EXO...and the above mentioned still have their whole lives to grow and adapt. Suho can still become a good/great leader. I just don't think he's there yet. Hate me if you will. After the Kris lawsuit went down it tore the veil with him.
  4. Things that are too "manufactured" or "perfect" to me are a turn off. I want something raw. Something real. His nose isn't even bad (side eyein anyone who says it is). Honestly, his facial features remind me of a cat, I even like the puffy bags under his eyes. They make him more distinctive. When I first get into a group, I have to make connections that work for me, some of those are of honing in on unique physical features/traits and using them to prompt my mind into the connection. Other than that: voice. He isn't the best singer, but when he does sing he stands out to me (yes sings, not raps). lol, I seem to have a track record for liking "imperfect" vocals, but it's those imperfections that make me love him (and others) so much.
  5. welp folks, it's official, i feel like a perv. I'm pretty sure he knows he's sexy and what he's working with...and i wish he didn't (lol), my poor heart needs a break.
  6. Confirmed! The director in China is working with Kris!! http://onehallyu.com/index.php?/topic/77657-nb-chinese-director-guo-jingming-to-work-with-kris/ Commence the hate-o-rade. Although now that i have this news, i have no plans to return to that thread and watch the bashing.
  7. i'm sure there are plenty of people who find that two D guy hot...I should introduce them to Tao then XD.
  8. I feel like some of the editors missed the call from their childhood asking them for their pettiness back. Good lord, editing his face out? What was the point, we all knew he was there, they could have found a way to edit him out or shorten the clip, but no, they decided to blur his face . Whatever, they just know his face was too handsome to show on prime television. The hotness overload would have floored them all (delusional, but hell, if they're going to be that stupid, then i'm gonna say stupid things lol).
  9. If we're talking about hairstyles, then hands down black hair on Tao is best! Though red wasn't a bad shade on him either... I challenge someone to look at that and tell me that's not hot (lol)
  10. Hmmm, you're making me go back and re-watch clips of Luhan and Sehun interactions now (haha), and welcome to the thread, I didn't even see your post (lol)!
  11. Oh of course. Dat double standard.... . I'm not trying to imply that you thought they weren't allowed to or anything, lol. That isn't what I mean to imply (sorry). It is annoying to read at times.
  12. They're buying into the media play, and EXO is really good at manipulating fan girl emotions. I wont say they're wrong for it, because it is a very hard industry and you need to watch out for yourself, but I think some of those tears are crocodile tears. Some may be genuine, and some even feel genuine, but at the same time, you can't know for sure. Those buying into it aren't wrong either, your emotions are your own after all, I just don't care to read too much into it tbh. I feel badly enough for both sides, and seeing others cry has never worked as a trigger for my own emotions lol.
  13. It isn't possible for him to return to EXO, he has burned far too many bridges. Unpopular opinion time: I know SM is sketchy as hell, but if an agreement could be reached (doubtful), I'd like Kris to return to SM and instead work solely as an actor, not an idol, and be stationed in China so he could be SM's "guy" there. I'd rather have an evil I know, than an unknown variable since with all the rumors flying on Kris' alleged "new" agency...they could be just as sketchy or even worse. Than SM. I want his happiness first and foremost, and he'll decide how that's best achieved, but if any of the whisperings are true on this "new" company...then it's only a matter of time before they treat Kris the same or worse... Now that being said, if the company is better (and only kris would know), then he can trump SM and stay where he is. I just want him successful. I don't like anyone to fail.
  14. Tao's coming out of all of the closets lol. I feel like this is a thing for him. The video with Sehun, now this one? What next? lol. They're short, but he gives you a significant glimpse into his personal life, which I think is astounding. I love it to be honest since so many idols want to keep an air of mystery/privacy about themselves (sometimes to keep up with an image), but this is Tao's image...a very genuine "I am what you see" person, and if anyone has an issue with that, oh well. Just my thoughts anyway.
  15. This. I think a lot of people forget this is a highly competitive industry where being recognized/relevant is key. They all fight for camera time, they all fight to be heard in interviews (usually it's an organized fighting where the they go in turns, but i swear, not just EXO but all celebs seem to try to out "say" the other to make a better impression). A lot of people, myself included, I think forget that in face of the glamour. There's a sense of "well now that they aren't trainee's they are (or can be) friends." Not always true, and the lawsuit I think is showing that. There was a thread on EXO being passive aggressive with one another, and I believe it, even if you're best friends with someone in the group, there will be times you can be that way, even towards them. It's a cut throat industry and I would never flourish there, which is why i don't give a damn at all that Kris left, for whatever reasons he may have had. Some can do it, others can't. I think Kris couldn't, so he got out. I think, if we want to say he left for "selfishly" pursuing him career....he did so because the "Idol" life wasn't one he could thrive and make a name for himself in. It was him vs 11 others for camera time and if he ever wanted to come out as an actor he would have to be more known than he was while in EXO/SM. For the record, i'm not bashing and trying to say no one in EXO will succeed at acting or whatever, only that Kris wasn't playing that game as well as others so he (may have) bounced for that reason. Especiallly in Korea where there is a much higher focus on the Korean members (and it makes sense, i'm not knocking Korea for it), but if you're more M biased like me than you kinda start feeling short ended.
  16. Maybe in full out acknowledging it, but he is outspoken on support. Case and point: the issue with the transgender student. http://www.soompi.com/2013/12/15/shinees-jonghyun-changes-twitter-profile-image-in-support-of-transgender-student/#.U5nF4PldV8E He doesn't have any issues on being outspoken on support/alies, he just comes off as not quite comfortable with acknowledging the gay fans (like Key as you mentioned above). He kind of strikes me as being okay with vocalizing support, but restraining himself on interaction to keep up the front more, at least for now.
  17. Nothing more than exposure. Dating scandals draw attention to both parties, usually negative to the girl, but it does make people look into them, and when you look into one person, you can find out about the group they're in (or if it's a solo artist, maybe find more about their solo works and what they do). In this case I think it was exposure and even a sense of "look, see, he's with a girl! Look at the chick!"(lol) So therefore, he can't possibly be gay. He has a "scandal" with a woman after all. I think it was around this time too when Myungsoo was having more questions about his sexuality circulating amongst fans as well...which could have been part of it.
  18. Omg those two...seriously can they not? It's too much overload for my poor mind to handle. There just so cute!!
  19. I'm pretty sure it was one the company created for media play purposes. If he was truly dating her I think it wasn't serious (and really, how much dating in a young adult life is?) with her, and like you mention, he may have been trying to figure himself out, he still could be, who knows...but it didn't last long, so that's what makes me think it was more of a company created thing than anything else. That and the way it was released/divulged to the public.
  20. I agree wholeheartedly with you. As for the show he was on with Gunhee, I found it rather funny Gunhee called him out on being a jerk/mean as part of the reason he couldn't keep a girl (it was a while ago I watched it so forgive me if i paraphrase lol). Frankly speaking, if it's Heechul+some woman, it usually seems to equal bad break up over some stupid reason (from both their sides: once when Heechul and hif ex broke up with a because she kissed him during mufasa's death scene, another time when he was found too difficult, girls trying to "tame" the bad boy, you get the point). If the day ever came that he maintained a long female relationship I'd have to question myself lol. As friends he's fine with them, but the second they date he can't maintain a relationship for long. Really, it's his male "friendships" (friend or otherwise), that he holds onto the longest. If he came out now, you're 100 percent accurate in thinking there would be a witch hunt. Everyone would be scrutinized and the backlash of speculation from that would be horrific, whether others were or not. Not too mention there may be some that he's kissed who are, honestly, still in the closet so deeply they've found Narnia (Looking at you Siwon), and having that kind of attention wouldn't do anyone any good. Unfounded rumors can be the worst and most damaging of slander imo.
  21. Maybe it's just me...but Sungjong and Myungsoo seem...not very confident in themselves...I think there's a high chance they are gay (together or not, idk), but they both seem malleable to outside "suggestion". Like "act like this" or "Don't do that", there's been talk of that on the forum already, and I agree with that. They both strike me as people pleasers, even if that means not doing/acting as they want all the time, or as much as they'd like. I don't know, i don't think I explained myself very well, but it just makes me sad to think that they feel they have to be a certain way just to conform to a perceived type of what they should be and act like.
  22. Frankly speaking, SM is known to be harsh at times and even if they weren't I believe based on how sudden the change seemed from Mama VS wolf era, that the members didn't trust him anymore. Flat out I think when he chose to leave that first time, he sealed himself into a smaller role (which isn't fair). To play devils' advocate, every member of EXO worked their butts off, and then Kris leaves the first time, he comes back, but there was clearly a level of distrust held...would you just blindly trust someone who left you in a work/school project environment, only to return (Probably not)? Now we know Kris has worked hard too, but i think the other members felt then, that Kris was someone to keep at arms length and let him earn his way back into the group dynamics (Tao shooting that message to Luha, how he acted aloof at first and then ((imo)) began gravitating slowly back to Kris just before he left during Overdose promotions). I think part of it was to teach Kris a lesson, but i think it had just as much to do with group dynamics shifting as with SM being involved. I'm not saying he was bullied, but (reaching here) assuming that when he came back it was a more private explosion...i think we can deduce that the members wouldn't have been receptive of Kris again, so management did their version of "damage" control...which i think caused more harm than good when it comes specifically to Kris...and while they may have just done it to soothe ruffled feathers of other members, it just made Kris' own discontent so much worse...and that isn't to say he couldn't/wouldn't have found another niche for himself given time....but...looking back at other groups I've liked and how members in their groups (Kyuhyun in suju as an example) attest to how hard things can be in a large group and trying to establish yourself...I can see a level of, not "bullying", but caution being placed around Kris. OOoooh boy, umm i wont' lie and say i've never "romantically" shipped Kris with someone, but i will say i know it's not real and I enjoy "shipping" of a friendship level just as much if not more. I love the Chen/Kris and Lay/Kris dynamics of trolling chen and Lay with Kris and seeing how such unassuming people can make Kris so flustered so easily XD. I adore it. I like Taoris to the older brother/little brother dynamics. I really felt that Kris was Tao's "older brother" in Exo and that Tao truly looked up to Kris (I felt he was rather star struck at times and found that cute...much like how some fans view their biases). I think most of the "relationships" I "ship" will survive, Chen and Lay...they don't strike me as the type to hold grudges for too long, they're too busy and have too much to focus on now...but I do think the Taoris one is, and will be, done for the foreseeable future. Not that Tao isn't just as busy, but he seems the type to hold onto old wounds. Doesn't mean he's bad or anything, just that it takes him longer to work through various levels of hurt.
  23. It's quite natural to make comparisons and to continue raising the bar (both on ourselves and idols), after all, now that we know and they know what they can do and how well they can do it; I think it's perfectly fine to draw comparisons and contrasts. I've seen this musical in my own country and I was never fully enamored with it, even with Kyuhyun cast in this rendition of it, it still isn't as "Omg must watch this" as it was with his other dramas.
  24. Cant believe it, but i'm amazed, impressed, and loving this . WHenever i watch concerts i find it hard to focus because so much is being thrown at you visually that i often (for dvds) have to rewatch it two or three times to get all of my biases and at lives its impossible (and naturally i miss all the cute/funny moments my bias does when i watch another), so I'm glad for this XD. That's dedication right there and i couldn't do that, I'd be bouncing around to much of my other biases in EXO.
  25. If and when he debutes as a Chinese actor, then I can see some of their argument, but if he never does, then I think the thread should just stay here and you can say "ex"...after all, his entire career would arguably have been as a "Kpop" idol vs a Chinese actor.
