SO agree with IZ*ONE and Apink - 3 strong promotions in a row for these two groups and very well deserved success.

Mimi owns this photoshot!

He might have not been actively involved, but when mentioning about the golden phone...he obviously knew about everything and enjoyed watching the videos from other people's phones. You gotta be way too innocent to believe he is 100% clean.

I listened to 54 songs, counting only the ones I listened to from start to finish because there were others I've heard of or I've heard bits of them, but I don't think they should count.
I liked: 34/54.
Top 10 - in no particular order:
- Four Seasons
- Psycho
- Violeta
- Obsession
- %%
- Bon Bon Chocolat
- That's okay
- Snapping
- Fancy
- The fifth season
-
Jopping was ok, I would have liked it a lot better if they had another hook.
The rest of the album was really solid, one of the favorites in 2019.

I didn't like their loud ass songs when they were released either, idk why they were considered good in the first place.
Their slow and mid-tempo songs are still great tho.

Thinking that it's ok not to be perfect, it's ok to feel bad at times. We live this life in order to be happy, beating ourselves everytime something goes wrong and worrying over every single thing is not going to resolve anything. We should live in the present and take action in actively improving our life instead of wasting time with self-pity or self-critic. Fighting to improve our life everyday will come a long way eventually. We should start moving and be proud of our progress even if it seems little at first, like brushing your teeth tonight.

To be honest, it's hard for me to consider idols real artists. Well, performing is an art itself, yet a lot of idols only sing and dance what the company wants them to. Art means expressing yourself, it's hard to express yourself when you can't even choose what you express in the first place.
I remember when I first listened to Yoo Youngjin, the one who composed What is love. His voice sounded so much like Kyungsoo's and Baekhyun's. Then I realized, in order to sing What is Love, Baekhyun and Kyungsoo just imitated him, every whistle note, highnote, voice inflection, was copied by the two so they can sound just like the demo. I was then hit by a big disappointment. There was nothing original about what they were doing, nothing of their own personality could be felt in the music and the interpretation, they were just doing what they were told to do. It's hard for me to call them real artists.
Does it mean that I don't like What is Love anymore? Or that I don't like EXO anymore? No, not at all. I actually prefer them over all the other groups, including those who compose for themselves because the final product EXO delivers fits my tastes the most. I don't care if a group writes their own songs, if I don't feel their songs then I won't be their fan. And vice versa.
Now that the boys have more freedom and have solos and they can choose the songs they like, change what they are uncomfortable with, write something here and there and overall put more personal input, I can say their artistry is improving.

Being in a relationship must be great, but personally I was never too eager to enter a relationship unless I really really liked someone.
See, a lot of relationships nowadays happen just because...just because people don't want to be alone, just because they want a sex partner, just because they get bored easily. So, unless there is someone special to you, I think dating is a big waste of precious time and energy.
So my advice is to live your life without pressure, do things that make you happy, think of ways to improve yourself and your life. As long as you are sociable and meet some new people from time to time, you are going to be all right!

Well, it is, obviously.
But it's said they've been dating for a while, so the baby only made things progress faster than it was supposed to be.
I think members are supportive tho. I think they know his situation well. And they are at a point in their career when they aren't as dependant on one other than they used to.
I hope everything will turn out fine for everybody!

We won't know about it, I am pretty sure it's gonna be a private thing, especially with her being a non-celebrity.
But damn, I so wish a OT12 reunion for Chen's wedding. That would go down in history!

I agree with everybody mentioned here, but I might add:
Girls: Oh My Girl Ahrin, Lovelyz Yein, (G)i-dle Shusha, WJSN Bona, 4minute Jihyun
Boys: EXO Suho, Eunwoo, BTS Jin

Psycho by far.
Stay up is a second, then Diamound.

Something like the OST CBX sang for Moon Lovers. The song was called 'For you'. It had a magical and sensitive feel to it, without it being too slow, dramatic and generical Kdrama OST.
But I feel that they will give him an OST which is playful and cute. Something similar to Red Velvet's OST in Hotel Del Luna. That kind of OST they play when the main couple does skinship accidentaly or tease each other or laugh together over something.
Depending on the drama plot, they could give him a dark sounding OST, but I highly doubt it. It would be interesting tho.

I used to only buy cheap clothes, but these last few years I started to extend my budget and buy more expensive stuff as well (not designer clothes tho). Indeed, there is a difference in the quality. They not only look better, they fit me better, they are more practical and last more.
Usually, I am willing to pay more for something that I know I will wear often: for example a winter jacket that I will probably wear daily in January and February, shoes that I will use more times a week, my bag that I will carry around for all my Uni year.
But things like blouses or skirts, sometimes a cheap one will do it for me if I like it enough.
My advice is to think of the proportion between quality and price. There is a lot of overpriced, ugly stuff in shop.

Hey, guys! What happened to our discord? I am so behind.

You are showing an exception, not the rule.
Smoking is bad anyway. I've gone to the hospital and seeing so many people dependant on their oxygen mask and tube, it really scared me. I am not a smoker, but it made me not ever want to stay near smoke in my life.

I find it interesting that this song has less UL than Zimzalabim but got a RAK. Wonder if its cause of the charts right now or if idol songs will start to chart properly again next year maybe.
It's Christmas time, I guess less people are into streaming right now in general.

I looked up this thread for Hyoyeon and I wasn't disappointed.

Taeyeon - Four Seasons, Blue, Purpose side tracks like Better Babe, LOL, Find me.
Tiffany - Even if I initially loved Run for your life, it got onld very fast, Lips on Lips and Magnetic Moon are where it's at.
Chungha - Snapping, her best song so far to me. Also Chica and Young in Love from her album.
Baekhyun - Not a fan of Un Village but Psycho and Stay up are the best.
Taemin - Famous, I prefer it over Want.

I thought she looked gorgeous and she responded the questions smartly and confidently.

I understand you, first year of collage means getting out of your comfort zone and it needs a lot of adapting. If you feel that it's overwhelming, the consulting will help.
The first year of collage has been pretty shitty for me too and I think a lot of people can relate. I was in a completely new city, I barely knew to reach the Uni, I've had a hard time finding the classrooms I was supposed to go to and I had a mental breakdown everytime I had a lecture outside the Uni because I didn't know how to get there and I was too afraid to ask anyone about it.
Everybody felt intimidating, from the students to the professors. Instead of talking to people and making new friends, I was backing up because I was feeling anxious and uncomfortable. I was feeling alone and overwhelmed, so it wasn't rare that I'd go in my room and cry after lectures. It didn't help that I had a lot to study and it was difficult for me to study everything.
It did get better eventually, even if it took some time. I've found out how to use a GPS properly.
I've befriended some great people to enjoy my time with and ask for help when needed. I learnt better studying strategies too.
I don't know much about your situation, but I can give you some advice:
1. It's shitty for most of us, so don't feel weird about it.
2. Also, most of us don't understand what's going on in a lecture either. Things will get much clearer when you are alone in front of the book. You just have to open that book.
3. Talk to your peers. Talk to everybody, actually. It doesn't have to be a long conversation, just a little bit of small talk. Smile when you see people you have lectures with, greet them and ask them short questions at first. It's an exercise to get you out of your social anxiety and you may make new friends. Don't force yourself to people tho, see who you click with and get the conversations longer and longer each time. It's important to have friends, not only that it will make your time more enjoyable and rise your moral, you will surely need each other to get through Uni.
4. Go out. It doesn't have to be that often if you aren't someone who is usually outgoing, but don't stay at home either. If you are in a new city, go exploring from time to time. If you click with someone in Uni, ask them to go somewhere with you, like the movies or a park or a museum. If you don't have someone to go with at first, then you can go alone too. It's a pleasure of mine, to go alone to the park sometimes, it's very relaxing. Just don't stay at home all the time. It might feel safe and warm, but it will get you more depressed in the long run.
5. Don't fall short with studies. Try to keep up with them as well as you can. You will be grateful about it when session comes.
Good luck! And don't forget, things will get better, even when it doesn't seem like it at first. Great things take time, just don't stay around waiting for things to happen.

[enter-talk] ISN'T THIS WEB DRAMA TOO RUDE?
in Netizen Nation
Posted
When I watched the drama, I didn't think it was rude to IU. I understood that the main lead has low self-esteem and even if she was compared to IU, she would still be unhappy about it because she doesn't find herself pretty.
But seeing that IU was also bought up in the writer's other dramas, I think there is something shady. It's either the writer is bitter for a reason or other or just uses IU's name to create some controversy and give her dramas a boost.
