  1. BoA - Leader. Dance line. The cool, mature, but caring unnie role of the group. Taeyeon - The dreamy main vocalist who slays ballad songs. Hyoyeon - Dance line. Will catch the eye of Western audience fast with her excentric style and care-free personality on shows. Krystal - English speaker. Lead vocalist. Model-like cold beauty that is trendy nowadays. Fits luxury brands. Irene - Cold beauty duo with Krystal. Dance line. For audience that likes elegant beauties. Seulgi - Dance line. In charge of charisma and sexiness. Wendy - Main vocal. Will catch the eye of Western audience fast with her English speaking skills and her warm-hearted personality. Derp queen.
  2. BlackPink means more money with faaaaar less performing. Wearing expensive clothes. Getting a lot of hype and attention for everything I release. But YG is trash and I want to be a singer, not to model for 90% of my career. Red Velvet on the other hand. I don't know if I have the stamina to keep up with them, but if I had, they'd be a better option for me. Sure, styling is not great, some songs/concepts are so so, but there are a lot of good songs, far more variety and meeting so many SM artists would fiiine!
  3. I don't get the hype over Merry-Go-Round, Pretty and Rococo>>>>. With*One is one of their weaker ballads. Overall, this album has nothing on Bloom*iz but I will replay Pretty and Rococo for a while.
  4. He doesn't respond because he can't promise the victim anything. He can't personally call out the fans because this might reflect bad on his fandom and his image in front of his fans. Also, I am not sure how efficient SM is going to be as they try to salvage Taeyong's image and keep this as low-key as possible instead of going all out with lawsuits and helping the victim and make this a bigger issue. I think Taeyong speaking up would help his image more in the long run, even if he lost some of his money machine crazies in his fandom. Unfortunetly, this isn't a garunatee the victim bullies will stop either.
  5. I'm loving the energy in this stage and track. It's something that makes me like IZ*ONE a lot, they have this youthful and dynamic presence to them. Very aestetic dance positions too and good styling. The song itself feels that lacks something tho. I like this bolder approach they made, making The Secret Story of The Swan different from their previous title tracks, but keeping their usual elegant concept. I just wish they had smoother transitions and more interesting chorus. All in all, it doesn't top Fiesta for me, but it's a solid comeback and worth the hype for me personally. I agree about the center distribution too. I am so happy seeing Nako more in the center and even Hyewon, also Minju starting the songs, Sakura in the dancebreak, there are a lot of these little changes that give a fresh feeling to the stage. Chaeyeon killed me in her dancebreak! Good job, girls!
  6. The critisism is valid, but it broke my heart to see how she stopped to be bouncy afterwards.
  7. The collab stages were meh, especially the Kill This Love one, they made the song unrecognizable and they turned it into another horror concept, so creative...not. BUT The stages in 'Your song' round are the refershing that I've been waiting from Road to Kingdom. God knows, how much nostalgia Oneus's 'Be mine' stage brought to me. The song is great itself and the remix elevated it. Their main vocal suits the song very well, his voice reminds me of the original and I think I might even prefer their voice to the original as it's less pitchy. I loved the storyline too, it was beautifully made with a clear message and it didn't take too much time from the performance. A perfect balance of story, singing and dancing. I will have the song in my playlist for quite a while now. TOO bringing some rookie energy and I'm loving it. I'd dare to say that it's the most fresh stage in the show so far. I love the colorful and dynamic vibes of this stage and the glowing through the dark outfits were a nice touch, made the stage memorable. ONF is going to be powerhouse in this show...or it is already. I didn't know this song beforehand, heard they added up that saxophone and it did evelate the overall sound. Very energetic stage, great dancing from the boys, I enjoyed the MJ concept. Rain is very trendy in Korea right now, I hope their performance will blow up too. I only have one complaint - the song is a bit too repetitive. Overall I am pleased with this round after my disappointment with last round (bg these days need more variety), hope they'll keep this up!
  8. I don't use Korean words. But yes, I started to clap my hands when I laugh and I started to notice the face size of people more. Also, bowing when greeting elders.
  9. I admit I am not a big fan of Hyoyeon's voice color, but her singing is decent and better then her rapping imo. The cover is good and up-lifting, an unexpected choice for a supposedly hip hop show. Hyoyeon's smile is so charming! Her partner was very good too. I am really really happy to see some appreciation and support for Hyoyeon.
  10. I was curious to watch this show as I was a big fan of Queendom and I wanted to get to know the boys too. I recently started to watch it and I've genuinely enjoyed it so far, but after the rumors of Golden Child's elimination, I am not sure if I can go on with this show. Golden Child were my favorites in the show easily. Even if The Boyz pulls off the best stages, Golden Child had my heart with their T.O.P performance and with the dynamics they brought to the show. It just sparked when they made their entrance in the 1st episode and I think it was Jangjun who said 'Helloo, everybody, there are only handsome and talented boys in this room!!'. They were funny and likable and brought flavor to the show, especially Jangjun. As for performances, I liked Golden Child because of their style. Their stages were simplistic, but very elegant, they showed off their vocals the best in the show and even if they didn't use a lot of props, back-up dancers or crazy stunts, it was never a dull moment. They brought something different to the table! Now I am going to receive some hate for this, I guess, but this show also reminded me why I like girl groups better. It's not that I don't like the boys in this show, I think there are lot of genuinely good stages and the groups are skilled and overall likable. I just think their style is too similar to one other. The show is full of dark stages, horror stages with a spark of traditional vibes here and there. It was fine for the first few episodes, but now we have 4 episodes worth of performances and I am still waiting for something refreshing to come out (well, Pentagon was different with Shine, but that wasn't a performance where they went all out for). Seeing the rumors about the songs to be sang next, I don't think we are going to see something different any time soon. Also, I think that they are remixing the songs too much, at the point it's not sounding coherent. That's why I used to like Golden Child's stages more than the others. The emphasis is too much on overwhelming dancing and staging, I wished they chilled a little and sell the song too. With this being said, I don't think this show and performances are bad, but I feel that I am losing interest after the rumors of Golden Child elimination and the lack of concept variety.
  11. Oh My Girl were already on an ascending trend after they gained their 1st win with Secret Garden. Arin, their youngest member, trended for a while for her fairy-like visuals in The Fifth Season too. When Queendom started, Oh My Girl was one of the least popular and many people learnt about them/realized their talent on the show (opposed to Mamamoo who were great as expected, Oh My Girl went above the expectations for people who didn't know them or knew very little about them). Their Destiny performance trended on Naver and other Korean sites and even their 2015 title track Closer started to trend on Melon. Their follow-up stage 'Twilight' was also popular. Now they comeback with a fresh summer song with relatable lyrics which topped Melon and it's still in top 10 (this is an amazing achievement for them). They went to Knowing Brothers. Arin is acting in The World Of My 17 webdrama (that I believe it's quite popular), Yooa is releasing covers. I think they have all the reasons to trend right now.
  12. Thank you! Sorry, I didn't pay enough attention!
  13. Oh, really? I heard the rumors that Pentagon got 2nd, so I had hopes Golden Child will end up winning this. I am disappointed now. Can you give me the final results in a spoiler? I've been looking for them on the Internet, but I didn't find them yet.
  14. Pentagon - I found Pentagon's stage a bit messy, but with some solid dancing here and there (I guess this must be Block B style they embodied). I totally loved the energy tho. Yuto stood out for me ever since they were filming his reactions to other groups and he stood out on stage today too. It is rare for me to find a favorite member so fast in a group. I didn't like that they went straight to shirtless dancing, a bit too fanservice-y for my taste, but it didn't make me like the stage any less. The Boyz - Very unexpected choice. When I saw the title, I was excited that they will go back to BTS Danger era, but then I went like 'Damn!! They gotta pull off a Taemin!'. I loved the fact that they turned a soloist song into a group song, they adapted to vocals and the dance and they had a bit of storyline too (they stole the crown, yey!). I felt sorry for the dudes who had to be stepped upon. I don't think they showed much of their vocal capacities with this stage tho. Now, with all the performances out, I can confidently say that Golden Child won it for me. Their stage was simple, yet very elegant and the concept was a stand out in a sea of dark concepts. The vocals and raps were clear and beautiful. The performances today were great as well, so other than first place, it's kinda impossible to make a concrete ranking. I may return with a ranking after watching the other stages for a while.
  15. Damn, it's so beautiful! Thank you for the song! I've never listened to these guys before, but they did an amazing job with such a hard and iconic song.
  16. Twice - One of the reasons why Taeyeon managed to become successful in her solo career is that the public already knew Taeyeon through her OSTs, as a separate identity from her SNSD persona. None of Twice members managed to build such image as JYP didn't let them venture into solo activities. I believe Nayeon would be the most successful if she were to try for a solo singing career. She has the skill, stage presence and the hype to do well. I think Jihyo has potential too if the general public gives her the chance. Red Velvet - Red Velvet members have more personal recognition than Twice members. I think Joy has the most potential out of all members. Why? She is popular for her idol persona, but also got asked to sing OSTs here and there. It means people trust her skills. But I think she would rather become an actress, leaving singing as a side-job. The ones who would actually continue a consistent singing career are Seulgi and Wendy. I don't really see Wendy as a solo performer, but I could see her releasing an album on Korean's liking, she has a good reputation with her vocals. BlackPink - Jennie already has a hit under her belt and Rose has crazy potential too. But I don't trust YG. The company is too fickle and incompetent. Lovelyz - I see Kei being the next Jung Eunji, if marketed right. Let's see how Tiger Eyes will do. Oh My Girl - Yooa is the performer and the face of OMG. I am a firm believer her talent will eventually get noticed by the general public, on a larger scale. Seunghee might become popular as a singer tho. Gfriend - I am not very familiar with them, but Yuju, I guess.
  17. Title tracks: Twice - TT Red Velvet - Peek-a-boo BlackPink - Playing with Fire B-sides: Twice - Headphones/Foolish Love Red Velvet - Sunny Side Up!/I Just BlackPink - Don't know what to do without you/Really
  18. I am watching the performances right now and leaving my opinions here. ONEUS - I love a good old school boy concept. I don't know this song, I suppose it's an old one. It reminds me of the 'rebel teenager' concept BTS had at their debut (still their best era for me). The most memorable break-down, I loved the idea of slow-motion fight break-down. I could feel that the boy who was about to get 'punched' was nervous. I found it cute! Also, I felt a lot of nostalgia from the other boys when they were singing along. A great stage. TOO - Amazing Rookies. Solid dancing and vocals. Eye-catching choreo and outfits. A quality group with potential. Thought that they were trying a bit too hard tho, too many things happened in such a short time span (I guess they felt the pressure to do something very dynamic to catch attention as they are rookies and don't have a name to relay on yet), but their effort and skills were great nevertheless. VeryVery - Refreshing song choice and stage, made me smile the most among all stages. I am sure they will rank very well for touching the fluff cute lovers in the audience and I know there will be plenty. Golden Child - Love love love the song choice. Swan Lake. Very elegant, aesthetic pleasing. Their costumes were a stand-out. Very solid vocal performance and best rappers in the show, as far as I see. I really enjoyed it. ONF - Poor song choice in my opinion. Everybody is not exactly the most eventful and interesting song out there and even if the rock remix made it more interesting, it still needed a bit of push. I loved the effort to recreate everything and make it their own tho! Great vocals, memorable breakdown. So far for me it's: Golden Child>ONEUS>TOO>VeryVery>ONF But it's very hard to rank them. You can see that after Queendom's success, everybody is trying their hardest and it shows. Great stages. I hope I will put my mind around it and start to watch it. I've been thinking about it for a while, but I still didn't start to watch it yet.
  19. Honestly, it's been one of my worst days in a while. More than ever, I felt emotionally drained, physically tired, unable to focus on my task. I am getting better now, I hope tomorrow is going to be a little bit better given the circumstances.
  20. Oh, right! I didn't read it properly, I thought it's the same system, but hyped up in a way to make it look more suspenseful. I think this is seriously cruel to the boys if it's true. They are already low-ranked boygroups, they don't need another reminder of that. In a business point of view, I think it is beneficial for both MNET and the groups. In this competitive format, the fandoms get way more involved in voting and way more emotionally involved in the groups in general. The hype has the potential to get even bigger than Queendom.
  21. Queendom also had elimination, but it was just to spice things out. They made sure nobody came 6th twice in a row and gets eliminated. Hopefully this will be the case for Road to Kingdom too.
