  1. I would love them to come out with something like this And a beautiful mv that was filmed on location But they will probably come back close to summer and a song like this would suit fall or winter :(
  2. 26 days until the fundraising deadline for Mamamoo Interfans Union's 3rd Anniversary Project. If you are seeing this for the first time, the Mamamoo Interfans Union is a collaboration between many international Mamamoo fanbases looking to do a project for Mamamoo's 3rd Anniversary. We have 2 main projects. The first is a subway ad that will be displayed in Janghanpyeong Station which is the station closest to the RBW building. Click here to view the Tweet Click here to view the Tweet The second is a fanzine with art, messages and other submissions from fans that will be sent directly to Mamamoo. It's totally free to participate. Check out the wordpress blog and MMM Interfan twitter for more details Also if you have signed up to do Donate: http://tinyurl.com/mmmifudonate Twitter: http://twitter.com/mmminterfan More Information: http://mmmifu.wordpress.com
  3. I'm lowkey keeping an eye on him. I don't know if I'll watch or vote, but he seems interesting to me and I want to see more.
  4. http://rbbridge.com/pages/artist9/ RBW has had that string orchestra for a while and they've been behind instrumentals for other groups (like GFriend) and OSTs etc. RBW is not new to entertainment (and they are not small either). They used to be a talent agency that recruited and developed trainees for other companies, handled international promotions, did tv and music production and education, and songwriting for other companies, etc. Mamamoo brings in money and attention for them as an idol group that belongs to them, (they have an sm academy type of program that Mamamoo heavily promotes) but they don't rely on Mamamoo that much. Mamamoo could easily be disbanded and they can still make a lot of money with all their other projects which isn't only limited to Korea but all around Asia. EDIT: To keep it somewhat on topic. That's probably a reason, in addition to Mamamoo having a fanbase, why Mamamoo could do a concert so fast. And why they seem to be itching to do international promotions with Mamamoo. They have the infrastructure and connections already and we know that touring and international promotions can bring in quite a lot of money.
  5. During the height of their college promotions where they had 4 events in a day they were sounding vocally rough. And I was worried that RBW didn't understand that they should be protecting their voices. Especially since Mamamoo always sings live, even at these small events. Listening to the concert, they sounded very good no hints of strain. Any off notes could probably attributed to the acoustics in the venue and having to sing live with a live band. So if they announced a comeback next week I wouldn't really be mad. I really think RBW wants to go all in with touring. Maybe they might wait to make one more comeback in April or May. And lowkey Mamamoo is still on their streak of releasing music each month. Also there's My Little Television. I don't know if they'll keep doing that show but judging by the fact that viewers are voting for them bodes well. Long story short, I think Mamamoo's activities are enough for now and I think they'll be busy when they comeback, hopefully in April or May. Sent from my iPhone using OneHallyu mobile app
  6. She's American but I'd be surprised if she was involved with the making of the VCR skit. Sometimes she does help with English translations for RBW, but she's also an artist independent from Mamamoo. I think people should leave her alone when it comes to these issues and contact RBW directly. I think it only builds resentment and I can't help but notice that her involvement in songwriting for Mamamoo has decreased after stuff like the Ahh Oop era.
  7. On a completely different note, Click here to view the Tweet I know it's only one perspective, but the worry about empty seats seems premature. Unfortunately scalpers can buy tickets and mark up the price too high, which prevents actual fans from going. It happens to even world class level artists like Beyonce.
  8. To be quite honest, this is the type of stuff that really makes me want to take a break from the fandom. The only reason why I don't, and why I am going out my way to respond to this is that I don't want the only voices from fans on here to be alienating sentiment like this. OH is the first place where I met other Mamamoo fans, and I'd like to still feel like it's a place where we can disagree and be honest with each other without being called fake and kicked out while saying 'good riddance'. I'll just stop you right there. I believe racism is worse than anything you just said above. We don't know what's going on in people's lives. You may think this is just some small mistake, but perhaps someone has been experiencing a hundred 'small mistakes' and this is the 101st mistake that broke the camel's back. (it's also not mamamoo first incident either) I also think you should stop reading what trolls have to say. It's quite obvious that most are not serious and are just taking a shot at a currently easy target. Some group will be caught lipsyncing or whatever and they'll move on to trolling about that. I can guarantee it. Re: korean netizens, I think i-moomoos still underrate their popularity in Korea. Even me. I'm actually surprised the controversy made it into Korean news, usually controversies like this are usually contained within the international fan community. But if you look at the article that NB translated, the comments in that post had extremely high upvotes. The Korean news outlets know what's going to get them the clicks, a controversy from one of the leading new gen girl groups is click bait from the heavens. Also RBW did not help matters much by making the English apology so much better than the Korean apology. That's the type of messiness that makes me worry. I think k-moomoos are worried too, and there's been a contingent of k-moomoos who have not been happy with how RBW has handled things for a while. This only adds fuel to those flames. But it's obvious that fans are being harsh because they care and want the best for Mamamoo, I wish more people would understand that. Hopefully this is the last post on this subject I have to write.
  9. I feel weird about non-black folks taking advantage of black moomoos as a way to deflect any criticism that Mamamoo may be receiving right now. As a black moomoo who has been here for a long time and has seen it all drama-wise, it doesn't feel great to read people who appear to not actually get the seriousness of this issue, use the fact that I'm still a fan as a reason why stuff like brownface/blackface and racism is supposedly not that bad. This isn't the first time that RBW has fucked up before, and to be honest, I knew it was only a matter of time before a situation like this would happen again because unlike this time, and unlike the situation with the Decalcomanie MV, moomoos were more generally interested in shielding Mamamoo from any possible criticism than making sure that RBW was doing right by them as a company. IMO, we shouldn't be angry at the so called haters. I haven't read any of the threads that have been created on OH because I know 90% of them are trolling and they'll quickly move on to the next shiny thing soon enough. Still, there are people who are generally sick of this kind of bs in kpop. Secondly, even the folks with an axe to grind against Mamamoo wouldn't have anything to say if RBW didn't keep giving them these openings. I need RBW to do better. They want us to buy Mamamoo albums, vote for them in shows, all the way up to literally designing merchandise and costumes but we just have to accept RBW messiness because it the girls may see it and feel bad? Sorry, but no. I want Mamamoo to last a long time, I don't want them to follow in footsteps of other groups who have had their careers derailed because of stuff like this.
  10. Lol, I saw your first post before you edited and I was like "did Yamachan die???!!!" From the audio stream the whole concert sounded excellent so I could only imagine seeing it in person. Sent from my iPhone using OneHallyu mobile app
  11. I didn't know Hwasa played piano. I figured otherwise because she likes her nails really long which makes playing piano difficult. But I'm really not surprised that all the members seem to know music. There was a v-live or mmmtv when they were singing in solfege, which indicates some training in theory as well. Probably shows why they're the best in the business when it comes to harmonies.
  12. I can't really rank the IS performances. I think overall, Delilah is their best performance but Road to Sampo and Backwoods are really strong and I don't want to sell Wait a Minute and Love Story of a Girl short either. They're just so good. Sent from my iPhone using OneHallyu mobile app
  13. Not in English. And from what I found it was limited to posts from audition blogs and what not. For example, I saw a blog post that Kim Do Hoon was looking for a number of girl trainees to create a girl group "like Dal Shabet". But other than that, there wasn't really a whole lot of stuff about Mamamoo until Don't Be Happy.
  14. I would check the following for streams closer to broadcast time aqstream.com twitter.com/kgp700 Mamamoo Daily will post streams 30 minutes before broadcast and right when broadcast starts.
  15. Speaking of advertisements , we are still raising money to have one of our own for Mamamoo's 3rd Anniversary. We need to reach $2500 by May 1st so we can make the order. Even if you can't donate, please spread the word. Click here to view the Tweet
  16. The thing about bizent...I don't trust that site because it's not even secure. And they want people to put their financial information in it. I dislike going to some of the outside sites because it's even more expensive, but you are taking a risk buying from bizent and I don't recommend it.
  17. Even past their Immortal Song performances, you should listen to when they sing Flying Deep Into the Night at college festivals. Even without the full band and backup singers they still sound spot on. RBW as cheap as they are probably wouldn't bother with making them record a 'fake live' version in the studio. Normal MR with the bg vocals to back them up is enough. EDIT: I saw this in related videos and thought it was worth posting in case newer fans have not seen it. I really liked this remix EDIT 2: I just found this video which has over a million views. It's basically netizen buzz in reverse as they are translating english comments about Hwasa into Korean. LMAO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlpuztKVvJE
  18. Wow, what an awesome opportunity! Hopefully she doesn't get too nervous and knocks it out of the park. Maybe Mamamoo won't be the first group to perform (but then again, their award is for February so...) Also does this make Solar the first of the new gen gg to mc a major award show? I can't remember.

However, we have a "Awards they've received" section and since Mamamoo has won the trophy for Immortal Songs, that could fit under that category. Also since space is limited (to 56 pages) we will have a signup form for interested artists. It will be posted soon, and I'll be sure to post it here when it's ready.
