The variety show always felt like it would be for the anniversary so I'm not expecting much. I hope all the girls manage to get together privately and do a VLive/InstaLive session - I think everyone would be satisfied with that especially if there will be nothing official released. But I guess it would depend of their schedules.

I agree you shouldn't post Jessica stuff here but I don't get why she is still tagged then. Everyone knows she was a former member (and nothing takes away from her time in the group) but as you said she's no longer a member of SNSD (and left on seemingly bad terms) so why still tag her but then ask people not to post about her in the thread. I wasn't here when shit went down so don't know if it's been explained before but it's kind of contradictory/sending mixed messages imo.

It's for the best. It's best she puts all her energy and give her best for one drama, than spread herself thing resulting in mediocre product. She's doing leads now so she can't afford to be distracted especially when there's already stigma against idol actors. If she was supporting then she could have maybe balanced it but definitely not as a lead when she's still relatively new. Her hard work will pay off; just as it always has.

I don't know what is so hard to understand. The girls are still SNSD regardless of whether they have group activities or not (as 5 or as 8). What is clear is that all the girls are focused on pursuing and establishing their individual careers which naturally puts group activities on the back burner - it's been like this for like 5 years as they got older. It will of course be easier to schedule things for the 5 still in SM as they are managed by the same company and I'm sure they are contractually obligated to give/take part in group activities. Again whether TSS can take part in some group things is largely dependant on their own schedules, whether the agencies are able to reach an agreement and if SM will play nice in negotiations. If SM was not open to possibly including TSS, they would have explicitly said that they left the group and that SNSD was just 5 now. Instead everyone has been on friendly terms and theres been interaction from all sides. Unfortunately the girls have no control of official group activities as 8; but they have shown that personally they will find ways to do things together as and when they can. I'm sure for their 11th anniversary they will have a personal get together if possible. That is all that should matter. No one is expecting brand new singles, albums, tours as 8 when it's not even sure they have the time to do it as 5.

I'm not worried. No one forced her to stay. After what SM did to the girls for their 10th anniversary they all knew what the company was like. TSS took their chance and left on good terms. The remaining girls had the opportunity to negotiate what they wanted. Everyone seems to be doing OK and hustling so I don't think SM has anything against her individually. Maybe she expected more opportunities?

180624: NCT127 - KCON NY I'm torn because I like JaeTaeMark stage (not the song but them together/dance performance) and think the would make a great unit - but the songs would be too rap focused for me to enjoy (e.g. like whiplash) I wouldn't mind the occasional single from them as a unit or if TaeMark sang a bit with Jae as main vocal.

I think there is generally fair usage laws (?) when it comes to performing/recording covers of songs - you don't need an agreement/license to do so. But the venue you are performing has to have a music performance licence. Even though it's technically not a cover (because she is part of the original recording artist and she cowrote) - there wouldn't be anything stopping her from performing it or any other song iirc. That and he fact the TSS left on good terms and everyone has acknowledged that they are still SNSD probably means that if they did in fact need permission SM would let them.

Yh - one of those square packed hay stacks. On another note - Swing Kids is really coming at a good time. Also great that it's not the standard war/espionage north Korea film that they tend to do - it's supposedly feel good so should stand out from the other films.
