another thing that bothers me is winter's nose, it just looks too perfect to be real and imo she would look so much better if they went for a more natural look. i always thought that the people who are visuals get this title because they naturally fit the beauty standard or made small tweaks to their appearance to fit into it some more but still maintain the naturally pretty vibe? does this make sense? like irene had work done but i don't think anything about her looks uncanny or just screams "fake" when you look at her, same with joy.
I feel this way about april's naeun tbh.
she's super pretty but everytime i see her all i can think of is: this nose is fake.

Ok immediately after making my last post i saw a picture and i think i figured it out, did jungkook get another nose job??
i saw this picture and does the tip of his nose look different to anyone else? his nose didn't look like that before right? it totally explains why theres more distance between his nose and lips now
ok tell me if yall see it too or if im losing it:)
i've never noticed it but when you put it like this the tip of his nose is definitely less bulbous. tbh, the first photos you posted (from wings era i think), the ly era pictures and new photos all have his nose looking differently - so i guess it's fillers? tbh, i'm not surprised, i think jungkook is really trying to go for a more mature look - he pretty much gave up on contacts, and bowl cuts, and his brows are much more arched as well.
i think i liked previous look better but i honestly feel about this like i feel about apink's naeun surgery: pretty before and after but in completely different way.

Okay, I'm sure there's something wrong with Wendy's face after her brief hiatus. Is it the nose?

imo, it's the cheekbones. at first, i thought somebody went ham in photoshop with blur effect and completely erased them. then again, i think she broke her cheekbone? so they've might done something to them.

I don't get that because you're right during their debut time they used to put concealer on jimins lips to make them look smaller but now bts memebers are getting lip fillers.. so ? but i guess beauty standard have just changed and thats why
But they get it and for yoongi it was during run era when I realized he gets (started) getting lip injections. Yoongis lips aren't really big. His top lip is on the thinner side and his bottom lip isn't big either but then during run era his lips completely changed. His lips got so much wider and poutier and the shape changed into a totally different one. And then from there small changes would happen sometimes. But, since run, the changes have been usually subtle and small. Nothing too big or over the top for the most part
The first picture is the picture that made me realize he got lip injections, second and third his lips are equal in thickness and his lips aren't wide anymore, fourth and fifth his lips get wider again and thicker and kind of like run era but not as extreme, sixth his bottom lip is a lot bigger than his top lip (and even though his bottom is naturally bigger than his top lip it isn't that big), and last two his top lip is way bigger than his bottom lip
For taehyung, his lips were nice but were a little small for his face (in length). I don't know when he started doing stuff but I think run is the time his lips were still the same (but there are moments now where his mouth goes back to being shorter in length but does continues being plump and equal in thickness) and then his lips started changing and small differences would happen but it wasn't very obvious and it was always really well done and nice
natural and a little small in length and his top lip is a bit bigger than his bottom lip
His lips got wider and started being a lot more plump and equal in thickness. And in the gif and blonde pic below it you can see his top lip is bigger than his bottom lip and in the last picture his lip looks shorter again but still more plump and equal than before. Its never anything really obvious and was done gradually but if you pay attention you can definitely tell his lips changed
I also think jungkook has started getting lip injections
The first three photos are before pictures and if you look at his top lip you can see the sides/corners of his mouth go in a little and aren't filled out but in the next photos, they're filled out and don't go in/are visible. The last two photos also show that (bottom is before). His bottom lip also seems to be a little more plumper
These are some selfies he took where his bottom lip looks so much plumper and the middle of his top lip looks really pouty/bloated but I don't know if he edits his selfies though so ..
So yeah bts members do stuff to their lips
Is it even possible to widen mouth temporarily? From what I've seen it seems to be a pernament procedure. I'm not saying no to the possibility of fillers (Keira Knightley had a great subtle one done) but it's difficult to say because a lot of your photos are from different angles, some with their lips pursed and some with their bottom lip jutting.
I don't think his lips have changed tbh.

I have mixed feelings about this: on one hand I feel people are trying to make it sound worse than it really is and making him out to be this horrible person.
However... people saying ~he's just being honest have clearly never worked in any company. This kind of thing affects negatively business and irl can get you fired.
Personally I hope it will make him reflect on his drinking habits.

I feel like LDH feel as though BGs easily bring more profit through physical sales and easily attract fanbase through females who are main audience of pop music which is true to an extent hence they start prioritizing BGs and debuting more BGs and neglecting their GGs but honestly, if they knew how to promote and push GGs well, things would be different. Groups like 48/46 groups, SPEED, Momoclo, Twice, Morning Musume are/were popular, and profitable. Honestly EGirls were actually doing pretty well until they decided to rebrand themselves, reduced the no. of members, the popular members left one by one. The departure of Dream members also contributed to the decline because they were popular and most recognizable ones especially Ami and they were outspoken and talkative on tv shows compared to other members. Honestly the line-up changes was a risky move as it just fucked the existing fanbase they had in the beginning. Ngl I too became less interested in them after they decided to "rebrand" themselves.
I hope LDH won't be like JE one day where the latter used to have few GGs in the 80s then suddenly stop producing GGs and only became BGs company that they are known today.
the key word is "were". j-pop fans tend to ignore this but the fact is that girl groups have way shorter lifespan than boy groups. Speed was relevant for 3 years & disbanded, Morning Musume hasn't been relevant in years and Momoclo was always more of a fringe group. It's no coincidence that E-Girls started getting more popular when SNSD's popularity went down - they filled their niche and now Twice have snatched their fans.

I watched the clip of what she said, and I have read the multiple apologies she's tweeted out (she has been replying to people and apologising).
I want to start by underlining that what she said was incredibly insensitive, ignorant and hurtful to the people it affected. It was obvious that she didn't have a clear grasp on what she was saying and the consequences of her words not to herself, but to the people who were watching and listening. I, myself was shocked and surprised to hear her stance on the video. This is an extremely sensitive topic.
However, she has apologised, and is currently continuing to apologise. Her apology seemed very sincere.
I will never tell others how to feel or to forgive someone, but I do want to say something here pertaining to the kpop fandom and cancel culture that I feel is very important: cancel culture is not a productive way to educate people who need to be educated. It is not a productive way to build a better future where the oppressed are finally heard. Cancel culture is something that often times backfires and causes those who are doing the cancelling to appear irrational and spiteful to anyone on the outside. Regardless of whether cancel culture works or not (I've seen many arguments that it doesn't work and therefore "isn't real"), it actually damages movements more than it moves those movements forward. Cancel culture is an immediate emotional response to unfavourable behavior of those who someone stans and idolises, someone who has been put on a pedestal and expected to adhere to personal standards. If people viewed idols as flawed humans who will inevitably make mistakes and are still learning as they move through this journey of life (as we all are), people would likely not have the impulse to cancel someone for a mistake they've made. Adding to this, the Western segment of kpop's fandom has to understand that while the issues in America are severe and significant, the rest of the world simply cannot know everything at all times. In other words, the world does not revolve around America, and vice versa. Every country revolves around itself before it revolves around others. People will always know what is going on around them, in the country they reside in, before they know what's happening elsewhere.
Continuing to throw hate at someone for their mistake even after they've apologised is not productive, and it crosses the line into bullying territory. How can anyone grow and learn from their mistakes if they are not allowed to do so? If people are not given the chance to change, to learn, to become educated, then they won't. If they are met with endless hate and aggression, it won't help them become educated in a productive way. They might even view things as irrational. I don't believe aggression is a productive way of making someone realise what they did was wrong. Everyone has to give people room to grow, or they never will.
Specifically, in this case with Amber, I do believe she was and is genuinely ignorant to the racial climate in America. She may have been born in America, but she has spent a long time in South Korea even counting her visits home, where social and political issues are far different than in America. Furthermore, what country you reside in determines what news and media you're often met with, and what social media apps determine is a "trend" for you, which ultimately has a hand in shaping someone's views (in this case, encouraging Amber's ignorance). I would not at all be surprised if she sincerely did not know about the racial climate in America, especially with how quickly it has worsened in the past two years. In her apology, she mentioned that things have changed since she left, and while she's right, it's also that there has been a more directed light shed on the corruption of the police force in recent years, so more and more people are aware of it. But I wonder, if she spends most of her time in South Korea with South Korean news and social media apps that give her trends based on her location, then how would she be able to truly understand until now?
Lastly, importantly, everyone is entitled to the way they feel, but please be mindful of what you say to and about idols.
In her apology she said she's supported blm and yet she's apparently unaware of tensions between police officers and black community? Something's not right. I don't buy her being ignorant about black issues. Here I am, never set a foot in America and living in white country and yet I've heard about it. It's all over twitter.
On the side note wtf is wrong with american police. Arresting people over eating food? That's excessive af, where I live you get a fine and police just moves on.

honestly, the whole drama with jungkook had made me so upset and tired. both antis and armys are blowing stuff out of proportion

i understand fans' emotions but if the fact he went to juvie and possible robbery is true... i know i wouldn't feel comfortable supporting him

none, i guess.
i think there's a reason nissan isn't used a lot for concerts. i took a quick look at reservation price and while tokyo dome is way more expensive, nissan takes a 8% cut of total ticket sales and most probably also takes a cut from merch sold at the stadium. it might have worked for toho bc they have this premium seat option + older fanbase with some serious cash. plus it's a football stadium so i assume all the concerts have to take place off-season which doesn't leave a lot of time - esp. for bts with their world tours.

i don't know how people can even watch produce. i tried but it's so long, it's like 90% of time nothing happens.

there's like zero point arguing who should be nominated, it's mnet. ofc, it's rigged.
i remember that gd got a dance performance award for crooked. there wasn't any dancing for this song.

How is Jennie in the nominations for best female artist when she didn't release anything this year? Sunmi would have been more appropriate I feel like.
"Solo" was released too late to be eligible for last year's MAMA, that's why she's nominated this year.

eh, it's a letdown tbh.
crown was a breath of fresh air for me, this feels like i've heard this before many times. also idg why producers messed with their vocals, it sounds unpleasant to me.

i think a lot of hate was due to her image. sulli had the "maknae" appeal - she was promoted as pure and innocent girl. her dating choiza brought so much hate because it ruined fantasy her male fans had of her.
that and her perceived lack of effort made it all go wild.
-
sadly i'm not surprised.
and the worst thing is nothing is going to change. seeing how people on pann hated on jungkook just because he got a tattoo was truly eye opening. simply vile. but we aren't better. just thinking how bullied and hated tiffany was based on baseless assumptions makes me so upset. we'll be preaching about kindness just to go back to smearing some female idol in a week time.

Isn't Wendy a Soft Gamine tho?
She's more bottom heavy, with wide hips. Her arms stay thin as well, even with weight gain.
