Okay. I can understand one male lead being an idol, and that it's Sungyeol (because it's been long overdue and Sungyeol stans can finally stop giving Myungsoo an unnecessary hard time) but two male leads being idols? Netizens will not like that for certain. And I'm honestly, really, incredibly concerned about Woohyun . I wonder if this is going to be like To The Beautiful You or Dream High... Probably relief. I feel he knows he's been doing well by taking on minor/supporting/side roles instead of lead. I'm pretty sure he's aware he still has to work on some of his acting, so he won't take anything more than that for the sake of the show he's in. And to be blunt, I think he feels burdened by it. I remember his interviews about Master's Sun. He kept mentioning the pressure and how nervous/intimidated he got when he met the veteran actors. He lacks confidence if you ask me and people nitpicking at him is the cause of it. He doesn't have to worry about anything until whatever role he's in next. --- I do question his taste physically, but I think something in her personality interested him. Maybe she was also willing and interested and so he took the opening. We'll never know. I would say more, but tom_306 placed it in perspective better. The impression she gave wasn't at all positive in terms of personality to me. So she looks like a plastic doll and went out of her way to bring attention to herself. And not by accident. The fact that she even mentioned her overseas education and acting prospects in her Twitter "rant" posts makes me believe she was using his fame and the opportunity of the ruckus to place herself out there. Even before this, she was posting the couple clothes and items on Twitter of all places. Her account isn't private. So I find it very difficult to find what was it he saw in her. I think he realized it too. Flaws in others aren't seen so quickly, especially if you're busy and don't have enough time to bond properly. That's why he threw the peace sign so easily instead of standing his ground and still being with her throughout the scandal. In fact, I think he's the first celebrity to do so in the influx of relationship news. The rest who were in dating scandals didn't break up with their significant other. Except Hara and Hyunseung(?), but that was months later. I think Do Yeon confirmed that wasn't true. She said she was never mad and that she didn't know the "friend" who got angry over the selca of L/Bo Reum. Her words anyway. I want all the boy group members to be outed. Maybe then, fangirls will have no choice but to accept the reality that their oppas are in relationships and it's not going to be them. Won't they even have boyfriends eventually? Seems selfish all around that they can be happy and in love but their idols can't. Except L's brother's girlfriend has a different hair color at least and has some normalcy, lol. Still looks Gangnam. I'm not going to post the pictures here because it isn't the place. I stated this before, but I'm hoping they'll follow in their father's taste. Previous girls L has mentioned give me a little ray of hope that this might have been a slip up. He could have seen something beyond her face.

That article and its one sentence implication in the last paragraph. This wouldn't be INFINITE's first time being thrown in an "onslaught of comebacks" and I doubt they are worried over any boy group. They honestly don't care about shifting dates for a less competitive spot. Considering I feel their bond was weak in the first place, I wouldn't place it as unhealthy. It was simply not serious or was at a level where it meant more. I don't think he's super experienced either, though the only stupid move on his part was thinking that going to the groceries was a splendid idea. Don't believe he got that if you're an idol and want to be in a relationship, you are utterly confined into an enclosed space where no one is looking. No ifs, ands, or buts. I'm thinking the situation with Bo Reum was more petty jealousy that caused a small stir due to a beautiful actress looking beautiful with their man. I don't know, to me, there's a difference between that and something that fans have to deal with for the long term. They tend to be more forgiving if they, one, are told the truth, and two, saw it coming. From what I've witnessed at least. I honestly feel these two aspects not being met were part of the ruckus. It was a shock factor honestly, and with that ulzzang refusing to stfu and aggravating the issue twice... LOL. Don't know who would say that unless they don't like his tone of voice. Which is understandable, but different. Then again, I came from the typical unfounded insults being hurled at him just a day or two ago -_-.

I believe the INFINITE vocal line goes like: Woohyun > Sunggyu > L > the rest. One of the users that frequents the Vocal Thread and answers inquiries posted it as such in another topic. And judging by ear alone, I most definitely agree. L was never bad actually, but his speedy progress is rather impressive. I also read all of INFINITE with the exception of Woohyun are nasal. L was simply a bit careless. I'm not sure if this is his first relationship since debut, but he didn't go out of his way to make it so obvious. I agree that whatever they had was immature, that's why it was going to crash eventually, scandal or not. In my opinion at least. You just expect the ulzzang to be more sensible about it since she's the 87liner. I expect age to reflect actions. And I said that because it seems that a lot of the backlash was due to how they handled the issue rather than the fact that he was dating. Both saesangs and fansite masters knew about it at any rate. It also wasn't a loss to L or INFINITE. I'm sure a few of his fans fell off, but he wasn't affected at all, popularity wise. It's like nothing happened to be honest. I don't know whether it was because he broke up with her (therefore he's "up for grabs" again, making it easier to jump back on oppar is mine), genuinely apologized, or was seen as the victim. Maybe all three. The fact that he came out almost unscathed make me believe Inspirits would be more accepting in some form.

Probably why I wouldn't fit in, lol. Though my forum demeanor is more directed at certain users/comments. The unfortunate taste is shared by his younger brother, it seems. Since he's not a celebrity, I won't comment on him and his choices. I just know that Idols tend to date ulzzangs (and stylists), as it's more low key and has less risk due to the lack of fame. I wouldn't be surprised if this was even encouraged. It simply got messy due to all parties involved. Thankfully (or not?), Woollim and Do Yeon screwed up so bad they took the brunt of the anger from L and he was seen more as a victim than anything. I also have this belief that Inspirits would have been cool with it if it wasn't denied and that it wasn't the girl in question. Am I the only one? There probably has been. Female idols get a lot of flack in general. It's no surprise why they tend to aim for actors as ideal types. And I know! Look how gorgeous they both are. If he wasn't dating at the time, I definitely think this would have been a possibility. Korean guys tend to not mind dating noonas. In fact, didn't INFINITE reveal their age limitations? I think L said he'll date someone younger than him by 2 years or so, and someone older than him by at least 5. I forgot where it was from. I'm honestly concerned for him. All I can hope is that this was more of that relationship mistake we all have had that we rather not speak about or entertain. It's a lesson learned and it's better for him to get experience before he settles into a real relationship. Progress is the fact that he finally changed his ideal type. You're not over thinking at all. I have a feeling you're right (before the scandal I've had a feeling he was dating, you just sort of knew...wasn't what I expected though, I'll tell you that much), and it's what I've suspected. This isn't the first dating scandal an idol has had. There's been a bunch of them ever since 2013. Yet, the partners in the scandals never broke up just because they were found out. Granted, L's situation turned out rather messy due to how certain parties handled it, but if you wanted to really be someone, nothing would get in between those sorts of feelings. Maybe take it easy, but not drift away permanently. Probably try some damage control to get acceptance from fans. Though they seem to dislike that ulzzang, and I don't blame them. I wouldn't support it judging by the translations I've read from what she was barking on Twitter. She did confirm things, like that she didn't know the unnie that was "angry" over the picture of L and Han Bo Reum and that a saesang saw a picture of her and L on his KakaoTalk icon. The rest left a lot to be desired though and it's why my impression of her is negative. She freaking even dared to highlight the fact that she was getting into acting (keep in mind that her decision to speak up coincided with her debut at the Blue Dragon Awards as well or when something good to INFINITE happened), was going off about her parents raising her and that they don't deserve this and that they, you know, did so much and had her go overseas for her education. Oh my, look at her accolades . She also blamed the rumor spreading on everyone else except her. Anyway, we had L jump ship. I'm doubting the four months now since they pulled that with KhunFany recently (when everyone knows it's much longer), but the time of them dating was a real busy one for INFINITE. Man In Love, then didn't they go to Japan for like about a month? Then preparations for Destiny and OGS. Getting to know someone well let alone strengthening a bond will be hard. I think what they had was weak. And it didn't take much to end it. He didn't even bother standing up for her and chose to follow the advice he was more than likely given (a.k.a. stay shut). I had to go with dopamine in that they weren't serious. Maybe it was luck that it happened when it did before he got in too deep in my opinion. I don't like babying Myungsoo or dumb-ing him down. He's idealistic in general (the statement about how he believes human nature is fundamentally good gives this assessment), but he's a lot more intuitive than fans give him credit for. This happens even to the best of people. Plus, he admitted back in debut time he dated someone in his first year of high school. Before he began playing the virgin bachelor, that is.

Thank goodness I am not the only one who raised an eyebrow at that. I suspect her and even Naeun sometimes (don't ask me why, just a feeling) to have crushed or are crushing over him. There's rumors that he's popular among female idols and they've approached him for numbers. Or so my Korean friend tells me, you know how that goes. I don't think anyone will outright choose L as their ideal type. Maybe it's just me, but female idols usually don't get asked that as much as male idols. If they do get asked, they aim for non-idols usually. Unless it's a choice of pick him or him. And pairs? Too bad any chance has been squandered. The fans probably scared her off since they were the reason she took down the picture in the first place. Them and L himself with who he actually dated. Judging by his past, bashful squees of excitement/interest with girls like Krystal, Gyuri, and Inoue Mao, I would think his taste would be more around this line. But it turned out to be a basic Gangnam doll. The disappointment still burns. He could have been with this gorgeous (and likely more respectable) unnir. ...[lurks back out]

I was looking over this compilation of black actresses who are able to sing. Any thoughts on this? And who did the best? I was personally impressed by Tichina Arnold, but you can never know. Tatyana Ali was possibly the worst.

I've dealt with too much "it's real!" shipping. I just...I can't, lol. Like, why are you so obsessed with a real person's love life? These aren't characters from video games, cartoons, anime, or fictional portrayal of characters. They are people. This is why fanfics also creep me out. That's more of my view actually. Their sexuality isn't anyone's business and it's best to accept things as they are instead of taking every little thing and attaching some analysis or theory about it -_-.
-
I can assure you that shipping is involved in some way. Shipping is always involved, lol. Shipping has always involved making the ship as "real as possible", and they'll take anything to fit what they want the truth to be. It doesn't even matter the gender or if they date/have dated/are dating. They'll just throw a conspiracy theory to it. I don't get the idol gay thread. Is it supposed to be a safe haven for those whose delusions need to be fed (no rejection there to deal with) and not told otherwise because they don't want their fantasies crushed or an actual discussion of whether said idol is gay or not? Because a discussion of something requires an actual talk that isn't one-sided and biased. And if it isn't one sided, that there's no offense taken for others making points about why said idol is not gay. How are you supposed to be 100% sure they are if there's no opposition to assure that the argument is sound? It's not 100% certainty then. I don't know, what is its actual purpose?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8VY2AYdDZg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RezBxxHmIa4 How does he do in these? I figured after a while that I shouldn't have placed a performance just after their World Tour for an example, though I forgot. He seems to be more rested here and is putting a bit more effort from what I can see. Sorry if it's too much. I'm just trying to note the differences and learn from it better than I do now. Take your time and watch it when you can/want, it's not a problem. On the other hand, thank you for the explanation. I was reading/dealing with someone who claimed to be a "dancer" (or "expert") saying that because a certain crew, let's say, had more complicated footwork meant they were better dancers. I had a feeling there was something off, but since I'm not experienced myself I couldn't really validate my view on it.

I honestly don't know how it's going to work, so I'm curious. They can't add any romantic aspect, or at least not heavily so. Fangirls and fanboys will freak the hell out. Which is a damn shame. This in turn makes the idols cautious in general and so their interactions wouldn't be as comfortable as it should be. Unless there's scripting involve. But that's the plague that really makes shows like this lame. It'll be really nice if for once, we'd have something that's raw. Get idols in there and leave them to their own devices. No managers, no script (unless it's a scenario or objectives, but no telling them what to do or say).

Dances as good as his mood allows indeed. I figured, lol. I still wanted to see how he did there, cause I kind of liked it personally. But I barely can tell what one did wrong or one did right. Especially since both Dongwoo and Hoya appeared next to him at times and I can't tell much about gaps between members in dancing. And I see on the footwork. So, let's say, a dancer shows complicated footwork and is actually good at it, would he/she be better than another dancer who's about or are the same level but doesn't have complicated footwork? (not that they can't or can, but they don't use it as much, if at all, in their choreo)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG2D2FQFvRw Just a lurker here wondering about how L does here in this fancam. I feel he dances as well as his mood allows. He's not a main dancer or anything, but I'm curious on an analysis and rating. Also, I have question about footwork. If a group shows more complicated footwork in a choreography, does that mean they are better at dancing than others? Does a group need to have footwork to show if they can pull off difficulty?
