  1. I was there at the time. It started off when L's female co-star Han Bo Reum, as they both played a role in Master's Sun, posted an innocent selca (gorgeous one at that) of the two. This somehow triggered K-Inspirits and she was getting some complaints or whatnot, since she eventually had to take the photo down. L, late at night over where he was (according to a fansite, because they were questioning him on Twitter why he was up so late and to go to sleep), started writing stuff like, and I'm going off of my head here since I can't remember the exact wording, "Taking pictures with you is the best" and stuff relating to how he enjoys taking pictures with [insert] better. Of course, the fans took it as him talking to them and it was an attempt to placate their anger or whatever. He deleted those tweets. Which is why you still see the last post of his on Twitter being the one of Sungong. This is where things got somehow worst. I honestly do think it affected INFINITE, but minimally. L saved himself enough. They still did pretty good in their comebacks after. It was the constant quick comebacks (two weeks promotion tops) and concert touring and change of producer (with Last Romeo not being favored as a track) that I feel affected INFINITE more than that dating scandal ever did.
  2. And that is their complete and utter flaw. If they did give a shit, INFINITE would have been bigger, and Lovelyz would already be ahead of the game. Woollim wants to keep their musical integrity (coughbosspreferenceofmusiccough), but that can only succeed to a limit.
  3. K-netz you mean . Then again, those are the ones that matter~.
  4. I am both excited and nerve wrecked for him. Historical dramas are no joke, this isn't some I Would Protect You 'OMT' or Catman. The k-netz will weave snatch the hell out of you.
  5. I never said you disliked Myungsoo, I've read through all the comments and knew before posting that you explained yourself. My whole point was the reason behind fans' behavior in general. Why they react the way they do, why they do the things they do, and why they say the things they do. Thinking of all the other possibilities, the only one that makes sense is insecurity and an unconscious inferiority (that isn't the same as dislike or hate, don't get me wrong, but it can be a precursor to it) that they have of their own faves. Like, the popularity that they don't have. Or the praise or jobs that they don't get. They pretend to accept it but they really don't. I'm not speaking for all, since I have seen fans be chill about things, yet those in particular who go for that negative behavior suffer from something. And it is very prevalent. You see it almost everywhere. Having such negativity for a member or to present such type of negativity for them isn't normal. Further using L as an example, he has popularity, visual praise, and jobs, so their hidden inferiority causes them to attack him and bring him down. Or for a third option, secretly wish for him to fail. The threat needs to be less threatening, basically. That's all I was getting across.
  6. Whooooooooa. The response to our newcomer was a bit over the top, but tensions are high for L fans due to the constant, acceptable target aspect that he's always been in for individual stans and, yes, Inspirits. Especially on Twitter. He's always had others hating on him for years because of his popularity. There's this disease of a deep-rooted, unconscious inferiority [of their fave] that fans have. Meaning, on the outside they act as if their favorites are misused, underrepresented, or their talents (at times inflated more than they actually are) unrecognized to explain their toxic or hateful behavior, but are really acting on unconscious inferiority. There's a defense mechanism called rationalization where a person expresses conscious, reasonable explanations rather than the unconscious motivations for doing them, and I think that is what's happening. What are the "unconscious motivations"? They can vary with everyone but I'll use an example. Fan A says "I think [insert member] is much more handsome than L (cause it's always going to be him, let's be real, lol) and he's the real visual". Look at how Fan A specifically mentions Myungsoo and uses him in a very sort of resentful way, to the point where Fan A takes away the idea of his position because to only her/him (which is the funny part), he's unworthy. The reality is that they feel insecure because their favorites don't get the visual attention L gets, so they use this as a way to soothe their unconscious inferiority of it by belittling or minimizing his looks in some form. Sometimes they are not even aware of it. Because honestly, that comment as a whole was unnecessary. It makes you want to ask, "lol, does saying that make you feel better?". And the secretly kept answer that they don't show is, yes, it does. This explains the Sunggyu vs. Woohyun thing too that happened previously. It explains why ExoLs and Armys are wringing each other's necks right now, it explains why fans get quickly defensive when someone criticizes their favorites (especially when it hits too close to the truth, denial mode), and it's also why Myungsoo in particular gets so much vitriol - the unconscious inferiority~. And most of what you read and see reactions to are all defense mechanisms to dealing with it. For fun, try to look back on things you've said [that are similar] and try to figure out why you said them. Don't try to explain it or excuse it away. Really think why. Thanks for the BTS summary... But what has all that accomplished? All of that only matters to the fanbase, either to feel better about their group or for bragging rights. BTS made it to the TOP 20 on Billboard, but how much does that have to do with the public? Did they get Psy level recognition around the world? Did the Western areas start to care for them, start to know they exist? Are they at all known? No. Even the Youtube views are done by fans constantly streaming, not because there's actual interest in them by others outside the K-Pop community. All of these are empty achievements. There needs to be real impact, and there wasn't. INFINITE are doing more than fine for a group that's six years in, they have their fans, they are okay to decent digitally, and they are going. To delude one's self into thinking that what you mentioned actually matters in the long run is what has made K-Pop so toxic.
  7. OMG at this. That is some truth tea. Twitter is a cesspool of what you just described. And fans ALLOW it to happen. "If it ain't my fave, it ain't my problem". Good luck with that mentality if they screw up and expect the rest to help defend.
  8. Korean awards keep getting more and more unreliable as the years go by. What happened at the Melon awards was ridic. It continuously gets worse in quality. They relent only to the bigger obnoxious fandoms and/or the big companies. They don't stand for anything anymore. Mess at others thinking any of them are anywhere close to the weight of the Grammys or something (one can argue they are losing credibility too, but at least they look at quality and have certified judges). The awards are only used to make fans even more unbearable and obnoxious. They accept it because they can brag about what they believe it means. INFINITE are doing well after SIX years in the business. Who else that debuted around their time have kept up well with other new groups? They don't need an award to prove that. Heck, if they have a song that goes well with the public, they'll be back on track because that's all they need. That doesn't mean we shouldn't work harder of course. But INFINITE need a change. Whether a lighter song or different producers for a title. Keeping with only one composer and waiting for it to get leverage isn't going to do it. One different producer's song can maybe hit it with the public. But we'll we ever find out? Nope, at this point. That's why Lovelyz have fallen behind too. Boss man is too busy doing what he wants to do when it comes to music instead of weighing the market.
  9. I want a happy song from INFINITE. The whole dark, serious thing is getting rather overused and uninteresting. They've had back to back comebacks with that theme since 2014.
  10. Oh, well, lol. Still, how are INFINITE doing compared to in the past?
  11. That's what happened when they did continuous tours. Now even Got7 can match INFINITE in album sales. Woollim is just trash. I missed the days before the stupid merger and when they were at least somewhat more smarter in strategy.
  12. I was hoping they'd make 300,00 downloads. Now that seems a possibility plus more. It's only been two months but... Back: 401,171+ (2014) Bad: 374,040+ (2015) It's catching. I feel they need to go in one more popular/trending variety show, and that should be it.
  13. Try Twitter? I know I can't translate. I do think however there is someone who can translate from the INFINITE thread. I forgot the username though.
  14. I don't think we're gonna get subs for this one. Not that you need it to get that Yootan is an asshole, but.
  15. He's miserable with his boring, repetitive life with no money. He missed me in dragging everyone else into his negativity by being a grade A asshole tho. Sohee's straight faced acting aside, his gf is the sweetest thing. Oh, and the appearance of The Little Match Girl. L somehow plays deceitful and asshole well. I don't know what that may mean, lol. He should take an antagonistic role next time.
  16. That's all countries tbh. The government caters to the 1% (the richest), or they work hand in hand. I mean, if that's the case, SK just somehow got exposed to its own public. In this world, everything is about $$$. The news and media are manipulated so they can make us see what they want, the foods we eat are hybrids (unnatural, referred to as "domesticated" or "domestic", that includes apples, aloe vera, peppermint, cows...the cows we have now are hybrids, the real cows, the aurochs, became extinct long ago, etc.), are made with starch, and are genetically modified, the sick are great for Big Pharma and they panic when they see experts and/or doctors advise natural remedies... But that's enough for "conspiracy theories" and all, as they call 'em.
  17. http://ifntsoo.com/tagged/131229 Just for your pictures galore.
  18. Ugh, who cares about MAMA. YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. What's awkward about it exactly? I mean, other than the obvious G rating kiddie kiss, but that's just standard with a few exceptions (those exceptions don't include idols).
  19. What popular variety shows are we missing now? There's Running Man. I'm a bit torn with Infinite Challenge.
