The only company I trust remains Antenna. JYPE or YGE have yet to make me budge from that view. YGE is lazy and JYPE is negligent/incompetent when it comes to KPOP STAR artists.

I know. I went between disband and sorta disband many times ... their status is pretty hard to label. But we haven't seen a 2AM comeback yet so ... I tilted towards the disband. Though perhaps just inactive would have been better.In any case - I am looking forward to see where Yeeun and Sunmi' visions are for their future and which company they sign with. But the fact Wonder Girls is having a song released entitled Goodbye likely means unlike 2AM they aren't planning to just be an inactive group ... but maybe like so many legendary groups they will have a reunion in 5- 10 years. Who knows. All I know is all the Wonder Girls members are independent, strong and talented women who are starting a new journey.

2017 smites 2 legends. January has been a hard month. This may be the end for Wonder Girls but I know we will still see great things come for Hat:felt and Sunmi as they pursue a new company/path. 2AM disbanded yet the bond between the members still exist and we see all the members having individual activities.

Good for 2PM. They deserve that respect. So does/did Wonder Girls. Also Studio J needs better management. They have 6 people. 6 for multiple artists/musicians. Tsk. If Twice has NINE then perhaps Studio J who houses +11 artists should have more then 6 people ... JYPE needs to learn you need to invest to actually get results. My mind may be fuzzy but isn't Ayeon coming back in February with a mini or full album? And GSoul is working very hard on producing songs. Good for him. I hope we get to hear him release a song/album before his own enlistment. And 14 days until Day6' comeback. â¤

It's the target audience. Kpop Star has traditionally favored female contestants and winners the same way Superstar K favors male contestants and male winners. Their target audience/demographic as well as purpose of the audition shows reflect in the contestant pool/winners. Kpop Star has largely been boiled to a junior talent show/ very raw trainee stage while Superstar K wants to identify singers/musicians ready for debut (of course some contestants are special in both audition shows and go against the grain).

That's okay. She roared on the stage. She was the tiniest but had the largest voice and personality. Adorable. And insanely talented. I didn't know about how crazily talented Yerin was until she debuted with 15&. 15& is one of the greatest teams/units to hit KPOP.

I watched Kpop Star knowing nothing on any of the contestants but Jimin' vocal power/skill and Ayeon' Haru Haru caught me and were easily my top 2 ... though SuPearls with Jimin was amazing. Season 1 was amazing. And it is good I watched all the season as so many of them are popping out everywhere and debuted.

I'm old. KPOP STAR season 1. I watched it maybe 1-2 months after it ended. Jimin (and Ayeon) immediately attracted my interest. Then I saw her on Strong Heart (loved that show). She won me over. Then 15& debuted ... and Jimin and Yerin together was gold. The rest is history. My fav 15& songs are Love is Madness/Can't Hide It. And I thought their debut song I Dream was precious.

Eh. Jimin is a sweetheart. She is making the best of a difficult situation. She tweeted "can't always be the best but I learn through it." That happiness seems a little resigned. She acknowledges it may not be the best times but since she is an upbeat person she's working with what she has. That's weighted happiness.

Yet Ayeon and Yerin do not have the same vocal tone/color/music style. At all. Yerin is a great singer and she deserves much more than JYPE has done for her. Ayeon as well. But no astute person will let JYPE try to pull the wool over people's eyes in regards to his tx of Jimin or the golden female triumvirate. JYPE is all bust.

Is it a solo? Or is a multi-performer stage. In any case - rock on Yerin 🎉ðŸ‘But it says #4? I wonder what that means? It that just reference for April? Edit: oh wow. They have solid musicians/singers on that list. 😮🔠But that's ice cold, JYPE. He does remember Jimin is part of his company and won the 1st season, right? But yes - go meet Yerin and Ayeon (since Jimin is apparently second class in JYPE). And the omission isn't just a slip in words; it's very telling and purposive. And whether the omission was by JYP himself or the other judges the fact they did not mention Jimin is a direct result of JYPE' fuckery. There was/is power/meanings behind omissions. So fuck you JYPE but congratulations to Yerin (concert) and Ayeon (award).

All I know is JYPE itself seems to be Jimin' greatest obstacle to making music. And for that - My disdain and mistrust of JYPE is large and deep.

Sketchbook is a very sore subject. Yerin, Ayeon, GSoul, Jo Kwon, Wonder Girls, Twice, and etc have been on the show but NO Jimin. The most criminal act was Twice appeared twice on the show ... once during Jimin' very limited 19to20 comeback. That was ice cold, JYPE. Jimin has stated on radio she has wanted to go on Sketchbook. Sketchbook has had many Kpop Star contestants on the show ... even ones who got eliminated in Top8-10. So no Jimin on Sketchbook is a putz move on the part of JYPE.

I don't think I really agree as Young was very upbeat but JYPE wouldn't let her place it as title track. She has the music but JYPE is putting barriers. And what Yerin had early on were high profile collaborations (i.e. SanE, etc). JYPE doesn't seem very invested. Yerin and Ayeon have had comebacks every 6 months or less. Jimin only had 1 in 1.5 years via JYPE. And 19to20 was the least promoted out of the bunch - even non-promoted and non-JYPE Look Alike did decently. Try (19to20) even ranked digitally higher than vastly promoted Got7' Fly. Jimin really needs follow through though with JYPE. And JYPE needs to push her as a singer. And if JYPE can't figure out how to do that then maybe they hire Antenna. Or allow her to collaborate with the list of people she wants to collaborate with as she has mentioned many times. Jimin' voice can suit ballads, power vocals, r&b, hip hop, Christian, etc ... but she need the backing and support of her company which she doesn't have - You think JYPE would pounce on vocal goldmine that is Jimin. But Jimin' greatest setbacks are JYPE' string of poor promotions, lack of support, and lack of follow through. Her own company is holding her back. And Jimin says she happy but a happy person wouldn't necessary be saying for the last couple of months she isn't getting priority and isn't getting JYPE to listen to her. That's called disappointment.

Well, fuck them. And I don't read them. But haters going to hate and while I wish she was on a music show... she looked gorgeous and happy. She was so bright. ... so 2019, right? JYPE does realize Jimin had ONE comeback in 1.5 years, right? [Her collaboration with d.ear didn't count even though JYPE will probably take credit for it even tho JYPE was 0% involved and of course didn't promote beyond retweeting] And she was only promoted for 1.5wks with one of the best vocal mini albums of the year. Jimin has actually been very vocal recently; in radio and ASC basically telling everyone she's frustrated. Her words - JYPE is not allowing her to release her music. And while Jimin, the best singer in JYPE, is locked away her counterpart in YG (Lee Hi) has had multiple comebacks and planning for a new comeback (and was on gayos/award ceremonies, feat in Infinite Challenge, collaborations, went on concerts,) and is actually more active then ever. Akdong Musician is also extremely active. So the questions remains why doesn't JYPE care about their own winners? Jimin has actually won 2 auditions (Kpop Star being the most popular/broadcasted) so there is no fault in vocals. Jimin is outright saying she is suppressed (and Jae' little JUSTICE FOR JIMIN was accurate) and if we bring Bernard into the question ... All I can say is I wish Jimin wasn't as loyal as she is with JYPE because they aren't earning it. JYPE seems to be trying to makeup for Day6 - but what about their other artists? If JYPE has 0 interest in KPOP Star winners or does not feel competent to promote them than maybe the company shouldn't be on the show or hire a consultant or team to do their damn job for them. Their laziness in inexcusable and filthy. Can both Yerin and Jimin tear up their contract on grounds of the company' failure to meet their responsibilities and find a better company together or at least one that will promote each of them better. The fact that this thread is inactive is a directly related to the fact JYPE isn't doing a good job. And if anyone thinks the fact Jimin is going on a food variety show is indication of anything - than all I can say is it still shows JYPE isn't taking Jimin' career as singer/song-writer seriously. Jimin foremost should be seen as a singer (and she's is literally the best vocalist in JYP; with Yerin on her heels) and not a MC/variety persona. Do your job JYPE or do the most honorable things and hire someone to do it for you to make up for your incompetency. JYPE did 15& wrong; they continue to do wrong with Yerin and Jimin. They need to release their golden songbirds. Update: I am so jealous. Antenna is doing everything so right for their KPOP Star artists. They are kicking it out of the field with Seunghwan and Sam Kim. Sam Kim is having another comeback and this time it's a collaboration with Loco. AOMG is full of talent. AOMG â¤. Ahhh. Antenna is on fire! JYPE, gosh darn it, do better. Every other KPOP Star company it doing leaps better than you!
