But this weekend/Mon we get Masked Singer perf and feat on Primeboi' Take Me Home. That track name alone holds a lot of heat/power alone. Super excited.

You could clearly see how much Jimin respected Junggigo. She was very cute. It was an interesting ASC. It took a much more serious, interview-style but I found it charming. Junggigo is in his mid-thirties so I am glad they didn't embarrass him or force him to do anything ridiculous. And the Q&A was really sweet ~ the questions took on a very young and innocent tone but Junggigo responded very well, thoughtfully, and gentle with his responses. I'm completely charmed. And while I would never be able to know if it is true or not it really appears like he would genuinely respect and cherish anyone he loves and works with. Jimin swooned at some points. I totally did as well.

Hmmm. Junggigo is to guest on ASC. It is also my strong belief Junggigo is on Masked Singer the same time as Jimin. So - we can to see them together multiple times in a short period. I really want this to mean Jimin and Junggigo can become part of each other's music community and ... Duet! 😆

(It could also mean Junggigo knocks Jimin out of Masked Singer or vice versa)

I'm so excited for Jamie to be on this/ or any show but I was worried whether she has recovered from her nodules fully, and she hasn't been singing on ASC recently so I assumed she was still recovering. It's so funny because Jamie's mannerisms are so obvious for me. (In addition to her voice) With Seung Woo on the show, I feel like he already knows it's Jamie. How do they choose who stays and who gets revealed?

The audience and judges vote. They vote to keep the contestant on the show. In Round 1 (Duet) they pick between the 2 partners. In round 2 the contestants get to sing a song solo. Judges pick the best out of the 2 groupped together. Round 3 follows the same pattern. Round 4 the contestant goes up against the King.

And yes Seung woo clearly knows who she so does the majority of the panel.

And Jimin has shown she has recovered mostly from vocal nodules. However - they are saying she had a cold during this appearance.

It annoys me MBC doesn't load the full performance. You miss Jimin' multiple moments to shine.

GSoul and Jimin only get to release music when it comes to external artists recognizing their talent and having features/collaborations.

Hmm... I feel like being on Unnies gave a very good push to Minzy more than just the agency change. Public opinion about her and her image changed 180 degrees thanks to Unnies.

I feel like going to Music Works wouldn't be enough to propulse Min anywhere (especially with how much the public seems to love to hate her). She can go the lowkey route and become a full time musical actress, but if she wants solos that do well, she'd probably need to appear on a show that would "redeem" her image to the public...

(Yet) It was Music Works that got Minzy those opportunities. I am not saying I want Min to follow the same route but they seem interested in promoting their artists well.

What do we expect. She has gotten a lot of hate. JYPE hasn't done anything to help. She probably for her own emotional health deleted it (temporary or permanently).

Though I hope she has a private one she can keep and share with her close friends.

Imagine if GSoul went to AOMG 😵. GSoul seems to be following many of the AOMG crew. And he seems to have similar taste/style/music. I could see it. And AOMG is on 🔥.

 

 

And maybe it is because Minzy was poorly promoted in 2NE1 was but now has gotten a lot of love through Music Works but I really want Min to join them. I want her new company to do well by her. And it would be awesome to see a Minzy and Min collaboration.

GSoul featuring in Reddy' The New Birth

 

 

GSoul contract ends in June. I wonder if GSoul will release anymore songs officially under JYPE. It will be interesting to see what GSoul does - will he stay as he has shown extreme loyalty to staying with JYPE in the past or leave and find a company better suited for his music style/pursuits/interest?

 

And the longer JYPE holds out in making a statement regarding his artists whose contracts have expired the very possible chance they will get slammed with multiple departures in a short term: possible Suzy, Min, and soon GSoul. Is JYPE waiting to announce the bad news until they have it in threes? Three times isn't the charm.

I don't think its for the title track... they were recording with BEP..

I have not mentioned it being the title track. Just posted JYP' post. JYP has written a song for all his female counterparts but Ayeon. Miss A (if it still exist), WG (when it did exist), Somi (IOI), 15& have received a JYP song.

Everyone in JYPE or past JYPE idols/artists went to the Coldplay concert. Pretty sure the majority of KPOP idols/artists went to the concert.

I am not saying there isn't any tough competiton right now but this would be a great time for Bernard/Yerin/Ayeon/GSoul/Jimin or JoKwon to have a comeback.

I argued this before on another site but I was met with replies of "they've only started protecting their idols recently so give them time to get around to everyone" which is complete and utter BS. JYPE have been on the warpath to protect the popular kids for a long time now and they've still done nothing for either Yerin or Jimin. Like you said, they should protect all their idols. Honestly, I'd go so far as to say JYPE are enablers at this point.

The fact that is CLEARLY harming them emotionally that they feel they need to confront and speak about the hate either with verbal or written responses means IT IS IMPACTING THEM GREATLY. JYPE needs to get off its ass and make an announcement. Even if they don't have the balls to do anything at least make the motions. JYPE stated the reason behind the limited promotions for 15& was "to protect" them as they were young and they wanted them to focus on school. Yet where is that same sentiment now? How about JYPE actually listen to their own words for once? 😑

Despite what some people might say, i really loved Kpop star and all the interactions between these 3 (+ boa ofc), this show will be greatly missed! Even if this season was criticized, thanks for giving us a last season, not every show has that chance. As JYP doesn't really know the word "rest" i hope he doesn't get too much bored and i wonder what will be his next project!

I will miss KPOP STAR as it has provided one of the best ever stages (SUPEARLS, Lee Hi/ Jimin' Goodbye Baby, Ayeon' Haru Haru, Jimin' Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Jimin/Yerin' Can't Hide It stage, pretty much Jimin' Hopeless Love, One Candle w/ Jimin, Bernard, etc, Flashlight w/ Ayeon, Jimin, and Lee Hi, Bernard' Home, AKMU' all original songs, Shorties' performances, and countless other). KPOP STAR found some of the best talents (ie Jimin, Ayeon, Jae, Lee Hi, Michelle, AKMU, Jinwoo, Hong Jeonghee, Almeng, Soojung, Lee Jinah, Kwon Jinah, Sam, Bernard, Katie, Seunghwan, Lily M, and etc). They also have been extremely loving and loyal to Jimin. She's been on every season but season 5. It's been pretty much the only source for live music performances for a long time. I had really wish though instead of terminating the program they revamped it by substitute YG and JYP with smaller companies like Antenna who would benefit from the exposure.

 

But KPOP STAR has one last gift - they are having a KPOP STAR & Friends concert in a few months.
