  1. They're releasing a digital single next month, not sure if it's a comeback where they will be promoting it though. Later in the fall they are scheduled to release a full album. Somewhere in there they are releasing a song for the US market, just not sure if it's the digital release next month, the album, or a whole different song.
  2. I think they are just releasing the song, I don't think they'll be physically promoting it in the US(at least not on a grand scale), so I'm not worried about it. It's not like they're doing a Wonder Girls thing and packing up and leaving Korea. So really they aren't risking a lot except some of B2M's money. The more i think about it, the more I think this is a good move for SPICA. It really seems like the international community "gets" them more than Korea. I mean everything they do fits in better with the American music industry than Kpop. They don't lip sync(unless they are forced to), they use very little backup track(and it's never used to drown out the voice of the performer), Boa and Bohyung's adlibs are better appreciated by Americans than Koreans, and they harmonize(which is something very few kpop groups do. And just the way they carry themselves fits in better in the US because all that aegyo baby talk other groups do just won't fly here. They just need a good song and a little bit of luck that they'll catch the right attention and they could actually make it here.
  3. I can't remember exactly which one but it was one of the Arirang Radio shows from the YDLM promotion, I just can't remember which host. It might have been the one where Narae talks about her lizard, Brad Pitt, and Bohyung talks about her blanket. I remember Narae somehow bought up the fact she was starting to study English so the host lets Narae close the show speaking in English. It ends up being a funny moment as Narae murders it though. lol
  4. Bohyung is definitely the closest for conversational English, but even then she's not fluent. Boa oddly enough sings near perfect English but she can't hold a conversation in it. Not sure about the rest, except Narae said she's learning but in that radio interview it wasn't very good at all but it was hilarious.
  5. lol, I'll Be There is the song that first caught my attention from SPICA because of it's 90s vibe. I consider Lonely my least favorite out of their promoted songs. Painkiller is still my favorite song from them though. I think an uptempo Rock song with a defined beat would tie the early R&B fans in with the newer pop style song fans. Something along the lines of Girl's Day "Female President" except with more of an edge, not so bubble gummy.
  6. I think it's understandable for you to feel that way. SPICA has such a huge pool of talent it's only natural that you'd want every member to share in the spotlight, justifiably more so than most groups. Boa has had a lot of things going on with the feature with Mario, most of the singing in the Witch's Diary OST, and now this. But the other members are also doing projects both individually and as a group. All things considered, SPICA does a great job of sharing the singing load among the members and I am actually glad that they don't always share the load equally. The arrangements of their latest covers shows they have moved beyond their early songs when everyone had almost an equal part in a song. Now they focus on utilizing each members individual range and talents to put out the best performance. In "Break Away" Juhyun had a more prominent part but in "It's Raining Men" it was Jiwon, and in both songs Narae and a greater supporting role, pushing her perceived range(public's perception, not her own). I too feel there's momentum building up behind SPICA. They came out of the YDLM comeback and just kept rolling on with projects. And it seems at least the entertainment industry itself recognizes their talent even if the Korean public in general hasn't yet. I'm hoping the digital release can tie in the fans of their early releases with the fans they have picked up from Tonight and YDLM because I know the full album will have something for everyone. They just need to have a solid fanbase set before the album so it sells well.
  7. I hope that's true! May and July will be bombarded with comebacks but everyone is staying away from June because of the World Cup. Seems like a good strategy to keep SPICA in everyone's mind thru the summer then go big with an album in the fall before all the year end comebacks. Hopefully it all comes together and SPICA can be around for all the New Years music festivals, it's something they always wanted to do. Seems like B2M is really coming through for the girls this year.
  8. It might not have aired. Due to the ferry tragedy in South Korea a lot of the regular programming has been suspended.
  9. Seeing those pics of Juhyun in her drama really makes me miss her long hair. She's pretty with short hair but she's HOT with long hair. I will say though, since getting the short hair for "Tonight" her personality really perked up, at least it seems that way interviews since then. On another Juhyun related note, every time I check this thread I feel bad about that poll on the top because she's so far behind. I love all of them but Narae is my favorite by a slim margin and Juhyun is right there too. Juhyun really is the emotional "glue" of the group, bonding all those different personalities together into a team. I can't imagine what the group would be like without her.

  11. It is really great to see SPICA doing all this stuff, this is easily the most post promotion activity they have ever had. It's been over a month since their YDLM comeback ended and there has been something coming out nearly everyday. It's hard for me to gauge how all of this is being received by the Korean audiences but SPICA's popularity definitely seems to rising there too (they've always seemed popular with international listeners). I'm hoping all this means B2M is going all in for their next comeback with a full album.
  12. I wonder why they never perform "Painkiller." They still perform Russian Roulette but never Painkiller. Most people, including myself, regard it as their best song, and should have gotten them a music show win.
  13. I like all their songs but I do like their early songs (Russian Roulette, Painkiller, Diary, Anger, I'll Be There) better. But what I do like better now is their overall image. Before they seemed to manufactured, their image didn't match them or their personalities. I think now more of their true selves are coming out and that makes them easier to relate to. While I do like what Lee Hyori has done with both the "Tonight" and "YDLM" promotions, I hope that SPICA writes their own song on their next comeback.
  14. SPICA - You Don't Love Me Goodbye Message This was a good comeback, they really picked up some momentum. I hope B2M keeps it going and has them do another comeback soon. In the meantime I hope they do some variety shows and more cover songs to keep their name on peoples' minds.
  15. So far, I think the Inkigayo performance was the only thing they've done since finding out about Bohyung's brother.
  16. I'd be happy if they just move Narae, Juhyun, and Jiwon to the front row on Star King for an episode or two.
