Yes! I remember that quote LOL Sometimes Changmin sucks at subtlety just as much as Jae does. But I agree, I'm sure he's know for very long time. I think for Jae it was an extreme case. Not just the fact that Changmin knew that Jae was gay but Jae also did not hide the fact that he was affectionate with his members, so Jae was always up in Min's personal space, more so than Yunho was. Yunho kind of knows those boundaries as well as the personal boundaries that Changmin had set at the time....Jae however, did not care about either of those boundaries, which is why Changmin seemed more "anti-boylove" when it came to Jae. But yeah, I think he is most likely straight Yeah Su seems really comfortable with himself, so he doesn't need to force anything. I don't think he particularly cares much for gender. LMAO YES! Jae was definitely NOT kidding! You can tell that he was planning going all of the way until he and Su touched lips and you can tell when Su pulled away that Jae kept going without any hesitation and then seemed a little disappointed before he nervously laughed along with Su Jae wants his member love and Su won't give him any HAHA I agree. I think with the overall group that Zelo is in gives him a good opportunity to have that support that other artists might not have. Being so much younger than the eldest, like Yongguk as you mentioned, he has a lot more room to grow in what seems like a relatively open group of members. Yeah definitely they need more time to grow and mature. Their future interactions outside of the group will be pretty telling, so we'll have to see how he acts in the next 2-3 years America is still caught up in belief that religious and personal morals have any such place in government and judicial decisions. And until idiots get that through their thick skulls than America can't move forward at all.

Hmmm I definitely agree with a majority of these ^^ Though, I think even if Yunho is in denial about his sexuality (which might not be denial per say so much as hiding it and not wanting to show it) I'm sure that Changmin knows about it. Just like I am sure the rest of group when they were together knew about each other's preferences and sexualities. For a lot of these bands, it is hard NOT to know about your partners when you live and work in the same place, especially for as long as Yunho and Changmin have worked together; I'm pretty sure Min would know, even if Yunho continued to deny it publicly, he would definitely act differently in private with his members and friends. I'm sure the other 3 would've known his sexuality too and vice versa. With Min tho, I get the feeling he is leaning more towards straight. He's definitely more open because of who he lives/lived with and hangs out, he would kind of have to be But out of the 5, him and Yoochun seem to be the most open about liking women and flirting and being sexually attracted to women than the other 3 are; though again, they both seem relatively open about the various sexualities, and so who knows. Junsu is hard to tell though. He makes me curious but I don't know why, I can't really describe other than leaning more towards bisexual. He neither flaunts it like Jae or tries to hide it behind masculinity like Yun so it's hard to know. I wouldn't be surprised with Junsu though. He seems to be pretty against Jae's affections most of the time esp on camera LOL but then again, Jae has this thing about getting into everyone's personal space so it doesn't surprise me that anyone would react the same way when they're around Jae too much lol Interested that you mentioned Zelo tho. Because I kind of have the same feeling. But I don't know why, since he's still so young both in age and in the industry and hasn't had a ton of interactions outside of his own group to really tell, but I kind of got that feeling with him too. But I'm not jumping on that idea yet. We will wait when BAP has a couple more years under their belt to see what comes of their personalities more.

True. None of us are really sure how much he smokes in general, so those cigarettes might be less than normal I know that it wouldn't be something he'd quit in a month. And I don't expect him to quite completely either so I'm not judging him or anything at all. It's extremely difficult to quit something like that, especially since nicotine is the most addictive substance and he's probably around people who smoke a lot of the time and makes it even harder to cure the habit; not to mention the stress. So ending it gradually is something that'd be best for him. It's just quite a lot of cigarettes in one ashtray tho /shrugs/ but it's probably not all his so ^^ anyway, they both look so adorbs~ I want to squishy them~ xDD

I don't think it's a lack of a gaydar so much as it might be a complete ignoring and smothering of the gaydar completely in regards to their bias. Cause sadly, many people are still under the 'everyone's straight until proven gay' belief when a majority of people might not fall into the either category 100% of the time. Though, at this point, everyone's welcome to believe what they want right now, since Key hasn't come out. So if they want to believe and ship certain pairings than that's fine. I just hope that if he wanted to come out at any point in the future, those fans would still be there to support him, but that'll probably not the case :// Sometimes I get the feeling that the defensive fans tend to give more away than the more open minded fans when it comes to their idols' sexuality, especially if they go out of their way to ignore the signs or get easily riled up about it. Not all idols have fans like that, so at times I wonder if the more questionable the idol's sexuality is, the more crazily defensive those fans are Though, I guess correlation does not imply causation...so it might not mean anything as to whether even 'the oppa is not gay' fans sense something too but just won't admit it and so they react so defensively whenever the word 'gay' is mentioned. Still, fans reactions are interesting to analyze.

No you're right I think post military service changes everything for a lot of idols, especially depending how obvious they were before the military. Maybe Yunho or Siwon might stay more of the same but I could be wrong, we could all be surprised tbh lol

Oh I see. Well, to be honest, I don't think Jae feeds anyone anything that they don't gamble down at first bite. What I mean is, a lot of shippers and non-shippers over-analyze everything that Jae does and says, so everything that comes out of his mouth is believed to be in some relationship to Yunho and ppl just go off of that assumption. Even if Jae didn't do certain things, fans would react the same way. And I'm sure Jae knows that too. Nothing Jae says or does is going to keep from fans from believing what they want to believe. In some ways, that includes his sexuality. So, I wouldn't let those kinds of things bother you. A lot of people describe Jae as "manipulative" but I see it more as evidence of his bluntness and honesty. Because Jae knows what he says or does causes reactions but he does what he does honestly because he is too much of a what-is-a-brain-filter-person to fake anything and lie in order to manipulate someone. For example, Jae loves fan service, no doubt. He knows that fans will react a certain way when he hugs a band member in public. But whether he hugs that member on stage in front of thousands and at home when it's just them two, the affection is real and doesn't seem to change in setting. It might more obvious at times, but the looks and affection and love ARE there and usually pretty real. Or another example, Jae tweeting about being lonely. Of course he is doing it for attention (don't we all?) but does that mean he's lying about being lonely? No. Because he gets lonely pretty easily. He's usually pretty honest about those emotions; he doesn't need to lie about it. His members and friends have mentioned about his hatred of being alone and their phone bills are enough to prove that. I mean, yes, he could use an invisible mouth-trap so he doesn't say things in public that he shouldn't, but I don't see him as being manipulative, more like he is just being usually lack of filter self. And this is kind of how I assess his sexuality as well. But that's just my analysis. People have different opinions, even when you look at the exact same person and situation so /shrugs/ But this is becoming a Jaejoong personality analysis and that's for a different thread anyway, I do love his friendship with HSC and he could've been a good guide for Jae that's for sure. Ofc, I don't think it's a complete indication about Jaejoong's sexuality just because he hangs out with an openly gay man on a regular basis. Even in Korea where it might not be as common to do as an idol, but it could mean just as much about Jae's personality as it does his sexuality. He DOES hang out with HSC more than most in his friend groups, but again, that doesn't always mean anything. However, I do look at Jae's group of friends overall and that might give more indication than just being friends with one person, since you do tend to hang out with people who are more similar to you than opposite. So, again, it could be either Jae is open with a lot of open friends or Jae is gay/bi and has surrounded himself with people who also have the same or similar sexualities. It could be. But it's not the most indicating factor...there's definitely a lot more factors to take into account

I didn't mean exclude Yunho intentionally in an act of ignoring their interactions and making it seem unimportant, so much I wanted to concentrate more on analyzing how Jae's relationships were post-lawsuit and his involvement with women since then. I didn't want to go into much detail about any dating rumors during his time in SM because it's not what the main point of my post was about. Though, I don't think I completely ignored the possibility of Jae being involved with any male at the time or after. When Jae mentioned about those he had dated since debut, he is not gender specific, so anyone is welcome to believe and put Yunho (or any other male celebrity) into that mix of possibilities. Don't get me wrong. I DO take into account Yunho and Jaejoong's relationship and the Yunjae couple itself, whether real or not, especially in regards to understanding both of their sexualities and personalities in comparison. For example, I think the Jaejoong analysis in this thread does a good job by mentioning the couple's importance in regards to Jae's attraction towards another man at the time, even if we don't know and will probably never know the exact knowledge of that relationship at the time. Still, I do acknowledge that it is important but, then again, I do also take into account Jae's relations with the other members as well. But I didn't mention them in their either so, trust me, it's not an act of leaving out Yunjae purposely. I have my own opinion on Yunjae and its possibilities and relevance but again, it didn't seem to have much importance in what I was wanting to convey in that post. Again, I'm sorry if it came off that way. It was not my intention.

He definitely has mentioned it on camera and in from of Yoosu. So it's obvious his parents really don't care and just want grandchildren. But saying it and joking about it and doing it are completely different things. Jae is aware that they don't care about the girl but could still be pressured to have kids which would probably result in him getting married anyway. So, it's complicated; it's funny how much his parents know and how open they are but even so, it's complicated for Jae. But agree with everyone else too. Jae is at the point of 'I don't give a fuck' about the whole thing and it definitely shows lol I like what you mentioned about that translation tho! Cause translations are definitely important when it comes to analyzing quotes. You do make a good point there in regards to the translations of that interview. Because I think when I originally read this interview it had gender specific pronouns. Putting "girlfriend" in the place of "that person" and "she" replacing "they" in some translated articles. As an international fan who doesn't read Korean, translations are pretty important and it can have an affect on what people take away from an interview, especially if the person being interviewed and/or the interviewer is being vague but the translator is being more descriptive in order to fill in those gaps. I'm not sure if it was something that was done purposely, or rather, translators might just assume it was a woman since he is a man talking about couple rings. But from the link you showed me, it does seem like the answer lacked anything related to gender so it could be that it might not have been meant for a woman and is only assumed by translation. But I don't know. I'd have to have someone who reads Korean look at the original article and tell me. But knowing Jae, it wouldn't surprise me if he would buy a ring for another man. And it wouldn't surprise me if he would hint at it with his being his usual vague self -_- But yeah, I'm sure he's dated women post-debut. It's definitely decreased to the point of negative numbers now unless he's just that good at hiding his straightness lol which could happen i guess but it'd quite ironic ;;^^.
