  1. A Chinese forummer did a table of the E10 minigame wins, and I replicated it in English here for easier reference:
  2. Yeah, it's a pity that this show gets so little attention outside of Korea. It is extremely well produced and invites a good range of challengers from such varied fields like comedians and actors. I personally like this show better than I Am A Singer because it lets me discover previously unknown voices. I was so entertained by so many challengers, like IQ150. And of course it's through this show that I fell for Kim Yeon Woo/CBR Cleopatra. I still play his songs even now.
  3. The couple that lives only in BTS Ahyoung always takes the initiative of teasing Dongmin first then ends up getting more than she can handle. That explains their relationship in TG, lol.
  4. Dongmin looked so sternly at Hyunmin. I think he was conveying to him, "You shouldn't be expecting me to still pamper you when all you did was to make use of me. It's time for you grow up from a boy who flitters everywhere to become a man of word who will lay down your loyalty for your allies." This is a sad moment but to me 2Min had already broken up since E8. To soothe your broken hearts, here's a selca posted by Hyunmin yesterday, "featuring God Dongmin". Click here to view the Tweet Although I am still trying to figure out what his twitter banner hints at...
  5. Dongmin won 5 garnets and Jinho 3 garnets in E9. I had the same thought as you that Dongmin was showing the equality of their partnership by giving Jinho a garnet so that they both earned 4 each from E9.
  6. Thanks to heads-up from Bumdidlyump: Sangmin and Sunggyu on Witch Hunt (part 2) * PS: the programme is rated 19+, so proceed with caution. Part 1 in below quoted.
  7. Yeah, I understand what you mean. However, rather than seeing Dongmin being outcast, it's more of Sangmin trusting Jinho from S1 and S2. Sangmin initially only wanted to help Jinho, but after learning that Dongmin will not be working with Hyunmin and Kyunghoon because Dongmin said that both will betray him, he consulted Jinho on Dongmin to assess his trustworthiness (remember Sangmin was only in S4 for 3 episodes so he was not that familiar with Dongmin). Once Jinho gave his nod, Sangmin immediately started working with Dongmin too. I also agree about formal vs opportunistic planning. Opportunistic planning relies a lot on adapting strategy on the fly when circumstances change. I mentioned in my post before that I felt Dongmin is very skilled in it. Jinho also has such an ability, which was shown in S2 during E2 (reverse order) and E5 (infinite chips). Guests always have less pressure so Sangmin and the guest alliance had it slightly easier since they were in it for money, vs Dongmin and Jinho who were playing for survival. When Sangmin conveyed his worries about the guest alliance having trouble with too many vampires and might thus not win, Dongmin discussed with Jinho and immediately changed their strategy to switch to pushing Dongmin for win instead so Poong could win as well, which resulted in the final win-win outcome.
  8. IIRC Dongmin first used the term 'bat' on Hyunmin during the video recap in S3 final, because the way he flittered around trying to be everywhere and not decisively staying through with an alliance until he started working with him.
  9. Yes, I was impressed at how Dongmin was again so quick in improvising the plan to make sure their guest alliance win too. He has been so adept at improvising his strategy on the fly so often that it's a shame not many had noted or mentioned about it. Jinho also immediately saw the big picture and agreed to let Dongmin take the win. I love how Jinho hoodwinked Junseok into thinking that he did not have Mummy. I could almost visualise his Kong Ganzi expression then, lol. . Sangmin was quick in summing up the situation and relayed the information back to Dongmin and Jinho. The Three King alliance is so perfect, I wish I can see this in every episode, but alas, Sangmin is no more. ã… ã… And now for a Dong-Kong final please!!!
  10. Each generation runs two episodes. R1 will be the first episode, R2, R3 and the King Challenge will be in the next. (source: I am a King of Mask Singer fan)
  11. The players are on good terms with each other. Junseok recently went on a trip (I think to Jeju?) with Kyunghoon, and they caught the live airing of E8 together over beer and food.
  12. Her enunciation, high notes and hand gestures are obvious, lol. She also has a habit of bending her knees during some high notes. Congratulations on advancing to the 2nd round!
  13. I agree S1 was a classic because it was the very first season of a programme which went where people had yet to venture. The games were new, the players were raw, everything started for the first time. Jinho winning S1 immortalised it and made TG what it is known since. However, on hindsight, the games and players in S1 were not necessarily better than other seasons. Like what you said, some games have zero replay value because once the secrets are out, the games are broken, like the Open Pass cards in S1 and the dice in S2. It's like S1 is a version 1.0 of TG, and subsequent seasons are version 1.1 and so on, improved off what they learned in S1. Every season has its own merits (even S2 - Food Chain is a personal favourite and the 7 commandments game was pretty good) and low points. I still wish that TG is adapted in other countries to see how factors like cultural and behavioural differences influence the players in approaching the games. I have a feeling UK or another European country will do an amazing job.
  14. Can we please just ignore the trolls and let them fight themselves? Just scroll past them and not keep quoting them to let them have a chance to reply with more bs. PS: I wish there's a way OH allows us to blacklist users so that their posts would be invisible to us. If there's a way already, pray tell. Thanks!
  15. I agree with you. Dongmin gets hate too often. People blame him for 'forcing' strategies down others, but they conveniently forget about how Junseok counters him so often with good results. Jinho and Kyungran also countered him in E7, and Hyunmin and Jinho did so in E8. He can't cajole anyone unless others are willing to let him do so. People said he forced others so much in S3, but he ended up with 8vs3 items in the final. I think that tells a lot about how the players really felt about him. Hyunmin also admitted on S3 he needed to learn more on the social aspect, but he proved he learns fast in S4. People often forget TG is not just about brains but also the social aspect which reflect real life, and Sangmin and Dongmin did extremely well in meshing both. TG is not Who Wants to be A Millionaire or Jeopardy.
