  1. The viewer review rating for Reply 1988 (vs Reply 1994 and Reply 1997) says it all. A show that had been running great for 90% of the time lets itself down with a crappy ending.
  2. Damn Reply for toying with my heart My Junghwan, oh how my heart hurts
  3. CODE is nowhere near TG or even CS but watchable nevertheless. I think most of the players are still trying to settle in and the editng still raw, so hopefully it will become better later.
  4. Paulister had given the link to the torrent: Raw for E1: Part 1 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3jy1tc Part 2 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3jy1rr (sorry I don't know how to embed videos; if someone could teach me please, thanks! The Chinese subbed episode is here. You can use Unblock Youku on Chrome to watch.
  5. CODE looks like the TV version of escape rooms that are now pretty popular worldwide. Ahhhhh...it's been a long time I've been to one. Now I'm itching to play an escape room this weekend!
  6. It was hilarious to hear UV's "No Cool, I'm Sorry" when Yoo Seyoon appeared, lol.
  7. Didn't I read somewhere CATC recorded lower ratings when Sangmoo guested? Not sure if you can access this? tv.idol001.com/idoltv-tvn.html . This is pretty good for me and has very little lag.
  8. TG stylist >>>>>>> I'm A Man stylist So Dongmin will be helping out Fridge for two weeks? Because I saw elsewhere that Heo Kyunghwan will also be temp MC, presumedly after Dongmin.
  9. A fan from the Chinese forum went for the Homibing event since it was near where she was staying. She was excited the whole day. She also posted in advance in the forum and solicited well wishes from the other fans, then wrote all the messages by hand on pretty stationery paper and put them in a box to pass to him. The place was full with mostly female fans when Dongmin arrived at 2pm. At first the manager said they could only take Polaroid photos with him. She took one with him and after they were done, he asked her if she was a Chinese. She was shocked that he managed to recognise where she was from even though she did not manage to speak as she was too nervous. He and the other fans were surprised that he had Chinese fans and she actually came for the event. He then shook hands with her and she even managed to get a hug~ She said his hand felt soft and warm. His manager also helped to take a picture of them together with her mobile phone. She then asked him to sign on the Polaroid picture. She mentioned that he looked very tired but was very smiley and friendly to the fans throughout the event. He also complied to the fans' requests of autographing even though the manager at first stated that he had no time for autographs since he had a fully packed schedule that day. He stayed 45min at the event before rushing off to his next schedule. You can read her post in full and see many pictures she took of the event here. Here's the pic the manager took with her mobile phone:
  10. Those opportunistic hypocrites will just jump in and gloat at such times. They remind me of those idiots at Westboro Baptist Church for some reason. It irks me that these self-proclaimed feminists are doing everything that makes other women cringe. I heard that they are also provoking the men's community as well. Take Care of My Fridge gets very good ratings and I agree about the Hyungdon factor so no surprise it has overtaken CS. Probably the IC fans had also chipped in to vote. I watched a few episodes of Fridge but yeah, it started to become a little repetitive. There are way too many food programmes on TV now...
  11. Hi defume and LadyJu, welcome onboard the JDM thread! defume: I see that you are a SHCJ just like me! XD LadyJu: no connections with Lady Jane, I hope? =P That is a freaking cool poster of Dongmin!!! Emerge and arise from the ashes looking even better and stronger now - the hallmark of the Dongmin we know and are proud of.
  12. If these are all true, I truly respect you for all you did, but then shouldn't you be focussing your efforts on these kind activities instead of spreading hate? In fact, seeing how difficult some people had it in your daily course of life, shouldn't your experiences have opened your heart towards accepting people who had acknowledged and apologised for their mistakes, and made amends? If you have read through what we said, we did not condone what he had done wrong, mind you. We were just acknowledging the efforts he had made to atone for his mistakes instead of going into hiding and pretended that nothing happened. You are the one who need to deal with the kinds of values you are spreading to your child. Your child needs more love from you, not the negative vibes that you are spreading with such hate. I sincerely wish for your kid to grow up with lots of love and magnanimity in a happy environment. Do take care. You may not wish the same for Dongmin or us, but we would not let your hate and misery get to us, because we do not believe in wishing bad on people who already have such a tough going. This is just not our way. If you still can't bring your mind around this, then we have to agree to disagree, and you just need to go back to where you belong and leave us be. Thank you and have a good day, and we wish you and your child all the best. Peace.
  13. IC fans wanted so much for Hongchul to return to IC now, but the general sentiments were that it is a bad time for him to come back. His comeback pilot was a failure and there were people who felt he had not reflected long enough compared to, say, Lee Soogeun. Gil is debuting his solo but will not be going on TV to promote, so it is unlikely he will return to IC. I am happy for Dongmin to take the mantle as the temp MC for Take Care of My Fridge. That would be the most high profile role he would take since Apr/May. He had done wrong, he apologised time and time again, and worked doubly hard to prove his crtiics wrong. If some people still want to hate, let them be since they made their choice to build their lives around hating others rather than loving their own idols.
  14. I am a huge Kim Yeon Woo fan who is also a Mamamoo fan, so I was so thrilled to hear that Mamamoo guested in Hidden Singer 4 for Kim Yeon Woo's episode. The episode will air this Sat night. You can watch the trailer here (you can catch a glimpse of the girls at the 31st second mark): They were laughing hard because Kim Yeon Woo was dancing to EXO's Overdose, which he first did on Idol School. He loves dancing so, much to his fans' amusement/chagrin XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbatNWnp5Yk
  15. Actually I think many Dongmin fans are not keen for him to be mentioned when it comes to IC. That had left too sour a taste and his career went downhill so drastically when he was taken off almost all the shows. I was just so glad that he proved so many critics wrong with his actions to make amends and repeating his apologies, and let his stunning performances do the talking in TG4. I am more than happy now that he is finally back to almost the same level as before all these things happened. When some sections of IC fans kicked up a fuss about Dongmin during Sixth Man, they had also unknowingly sealed the way close for Hongchul to return since his case was far more serious. Kwanghee had performed rather poorly, being unable to catch up and hold his own despite having been there for half a year, There were more people now bringing Dongmin up again as they felt he would do a better job. IMO, it's all water under bridge now. I just want Dongmin to enjoy what he is doing now. Frankly IC's pace had become tired in the last few months. The recent Laugh Hunter special fell so flat that it was almost embarrassing to watch. I hope Hyungdon takes a proper break to recuperate from his condition which seems serious since he had to stop all his programmes. As a long-time IC fan, it was painful to see IC trudging along like this.
  16. I am in a Chinese chatgroup with other Dongmin fans and they were discussing about this yesterday. Apparently this arose from an article covering the recent programme that both Dongmin and Kwanghee were on (I think this had already been covered in this thread before). They were asked about the Sixth Man again (duh). Can't quite remember what Kwanghee said but he did not want to say too much about IC on another prog and Dongmin's response, likely half in jest, said what's more to say, he was the one threw the Sixth Man away. Then the women's community flooded the article with hate comments as usual, and Dongmin's fans had a hard time trying to deal with them. I felt helpless that I couldn't help Dongmin when things like this happened About this women's community:
  17. My favourite is the original flavour. I have plenty stocked up at home. 11.11 is also "Singles Day" in China (all the 1s) but nowadays people remember it for a different reason because of the massive sale started by Taobao in China, similar to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in the US. I had also stocked up my Taobao cart to take advantage of the offers. His recent pics are the 'autumn guy' type which not only fits with the climate but also adds warmth to his image. I like this recent makeover because it showcases another lovely side of him. That Pepero heart-shaped flower!!! Wow! Glad to see Gag-dol Dongmin being showered with so much love!
  18. There were some close-up pics of him looking so good that the Chinese fans jokingly wondered how many botox sessions had he gone for It seems that he has so many activities every day that he has more or less returned to the pre-Apr/May peak. With the upcoming Big Friends pilot on MBC, it looks like he is also poised for a return on public TV channels as well. Wish him all the best!!!
  19. Me too! I am way too old for crushes yet now I find myself having big ones on two 'old' men (JDM and Kim Yeon Woo) who are not even your average good lookers. Tastes do change when one grows older as he/she looks for other qualities in men.
  20. I watched the entire season of I'm A Man. The addition of Kim Jedong as a regular guest at the latter part was a genius stroke. There were calls to bring back YJS, JDM and KJD for a new season but it did not happen. The part where HJH was being sniffed around for his cigarette smell was funny. And of course JDM couldn't resist taking a dig at HJH at every opportunity, lol.
  21. It's been more than a month and finally KSO released the Eng sub for E9. I hope to see CBR Cleopatra gain more new fans when he defends his crown in E10. RAW for E28 and E29 are out on Reddit too. I really love Taekwon V's voice! It's my second favourite voice after Cleopatra's on Mask King.
  22. Good recommendations! I am recently reading Ouroboros. I am picky about manga but I love this. Evergreens like Death Note, Kindaichi Shounen no Jikembo and, for the younger ones, Detective Conan are good to read too. Although these manga are not LG related, you can consider them if you want to read some good manga.
  23. Thank you so much for the summaries! This reinforces my opinion that the cast are the ones that make the programmes for what they are. You can have a brilliant concept but without the right people to pull it off, the programme will not deliver. TG in some way proved it in S2 as well. It had suitable cast for all seasons except for S2 and the reception showed, and I say this as a programme fan. Allkpop is a trashy site that sensationalise articles to attract views. I lost all respect for the site during Ailee's incident and I am not even her fan. I have boycotted the site ever since and I strongly encourage everyone to do so as well. There are plenty of other kpop and kvariety news sites who do a much better job than this disgusting site.
