I saw that and I can't come back with much. I'm not Korean and I don't live anywhere near there, so realistically I can't be commenting on what's socially acceptable. Cultural differences or not, all of our ships are more than likely fake, so it's nothing that I feel should come as a shock. Does it suck as a shipper? Yes, but nothing more. All I can say is if that's the standard there are always exceptions and no matter how many guides that say people should or shouldn't be doing something realistically no one truly knows what's going on except the people involved. Doesn't matter if the person is from Korea or not. I will go down with this ship!

One thing you're right about is that we don't know who the "Jess" and "Tiff" are. It's not like we can definitively say those are the SNSD members since Jessica and Tiffany aren't unique names and I don't think Tiffany's real name is Tiffany. I just found it as an interesting tidbit considering the circumstances. I don't agree with their interactions being one-sided as I don't think we see them doing anything together enough to make that call. I'd need proof, but as of now there is none. If you know of something, please share, cause I'm interested in this topic. I'd almost even take a fan account at this point.

Aren't most people on their phones these days? I don't think that means much, but who knows. I also thought Amber said she just didn't like it when she was trying to have a conversation with someone and they were on their phone, not someone being on their phone in general. Or am I wrong? XD

I thought the general consensus was that the whole gay thing wasn't cool over there. I know the younger generation is more open to it but still. I guess it's different for celebrities. Thanks bae Though you only add to my point. Amber and Jessica don't seem like enemies. It was a while ago, but they have limited - to my knowledge - interaction in front of the camera, so it should still hold weight. Unless something bad happened between them, but again, no proof that I know of. That dude was Key? Kind of funny since my phone tried to change "kryber" into "key ber" and I don't ship them at all.

This is an extremely good discussion and I don't think we've had one like it in a while. I wanna be like you guys and do my personal analysis, so here goes: I've always been on the fence about whether or not the two of them actually dated. Maybe it's me trying to control my delusion (Ha, impossible!) or something else remains to be determined, but I digress. The things I do believe is that there was an attraction coming from both parties and that even now, regardless of they are, they still remain very close. I would even go as far as saying what they have is special since they've known each other for so long. No, it doesn't have to be in a romantic context either. The thing that brings me over to the dating side is the Red Light era conspiracy. It was really bizarre. I admit I thought that they had a fight at first and nothing more, but thinking about it more that could have been the time they broke up, (if they were together) which explains that infamous video with the sad gazes and the limited interaction. Though didn't Amber visit her later that year on the set of her drama and pose with her for a picture? Someone also pointed out that the two (plus Luna) went to a coffee shop. This shows they were on speaking terms, if nothing else. I guess since they're coworkers they kind of have to be, so if there was an issue that would be the reason they fixed it quickly, because I'm not so sure that a person would be so inclined to be with their ex. That whole situation was really, really weird and I'm still scratching me head at it. Someone said they doubted the validity of kryber's interactions and they have a point. We don't know how much is manufactured and it's good to be skeptical. The fan accounts are probably best dismissed when trying to figure out the kryber relationship, since we simply can't see them. Going on, I don't think they're all forced or purely for show, for various reasons. We do have moments where the two aren't aware the cameras were on them and times when they either don't care, or forget that they can be filmed. Such as the butt grab picture, that time when Amber gave Krystal her jacket, the whisper/kiss thing, that time when Amber called Krystal over and she (K) was going to put her arms around her (A), but decided not to, and how ultra touchy-feely they were during the E-shock era. Anyway onto the fake stuff. We know they're well aware that they're shipped and that Amber is a troll who clearly understands what it's like to ship celebrities (may we all reach the heights of Shipping Master Amber.) So we have her posting things on social media about Krystal and acting a bit more touchy than usual in public. Someone said they noticed Krystal makes Amber act really cut and out of character, so I have to wonder if when she's acting that way if she's not teasing us a little bit. The one thing I've always wondered is: how big of a thing is Kryber in Korea? I know it exists, but is it as known over there as much as it is to the international community? Meaning is it relevant enough for SM to encourage them to push them to act a certain way? Anyone know? We also need to talk about Jessica, since her relationship (or supposed lack thereof) with Amber does get a lot of attention. This is another thing I personally am on the fence, because I've not seen enough proof beyond an ambiguous video where someone said Amber was "scared" of her. There was also this one time Jackie was interviewed and she was citing people who take care of her sister and she said "Jess." So I have to wonder if their dislike is something fans made up, or if Amber has another friend named Jessica (Ultra Amber stans, do you have the answer?) A lot of people think that if they do dislike each other, then it has something to do with Krystal, which would be great in terms of a shipping perspective, but we've no proof of that, and it's possible the two just don't click. As far as where I think they are now...really close friends. I think they enjoy flirting with each other and probably always will, (going into the whole them being in permanent "like"with each other) but their interactions aren't screaming anything deeper anymore. Sure they're cute, and I like to joke around, but I think that the romance may have passed and that is fine with me. So long as they're happy, but they'd still make a hot couple. Also curse you all for making me ship Jackie and Krystal. I am completely ready for someone to make a Jackstal/Kryjack shipping thread. MAKE IT HAPPEN PEOPLE!

It's not the first time I've heard about it, but it's the first time I dared to look at it, and some of the posts have me screaming. Do you understand with this means guys? Do you? Different pages indeed, but that's not a bad thing at all. The things I agree with are the fact that the Red Light era definitely threw things off, what those things were, we don't know. We're also of the belief that Amber does - from our very limited scope - does seem to go out of her way to please Krystal. Which I did point out, but she is so kind to other people that it makes it hard to separate friendship from anything more, at least to me. Now onto the stuff I'm not sold on. I don't know Krystal's preference in terms of feminine and masculine, but the way she gazes at Amber makes me think she might not have one. Or you're right, and Amber is just the exception, but I don't think you're going to stare at someone that way and talk about them so excitedly. Amber doesn't really do that. I mean sometimes she'll look at her, but if Krystal's talking she doesn't stare at her with that "=O" type of face. If she has please show me, because I'd love to see that...for science. I knew you weren't saying that they weren't close, and I know Red Light was a weird time, but I don't see how their interactions have become one-sided. They seem to be the same except maybe less flirtatious. Care to elaborate? I'd also really like to see some more of "Amber likes Krystal" more pictures, videos, fan accounts if you have any stored away somewhere. You said the magic words "Used to being more careful about giving hints to her sexuality." Which I think is a possible reason for why we have moments of Krystal being obvious and none from Amber. Unless there are and I'm missing some stuff, since I'm pretty much ignorant of anything pre-2013. There's also the possibility of her being straight, which we can't ignore either. You know who doesn't get enough credit as a Kryber shipper? Victoria. Her expressions are priceless and during that "Kiss the Radio" interview in the RPPP era she kept making the best faces at Krystal when Min called. I was dying. Victoria for vice president plz! I'm bad at that too. I remember that post of yours. It was brilliant, hitting on a lot of things I think would make for excellent discussion. I don't recall if I contributed anything in response, and we have a lot of new faces in the thread that might want to be involved should we decide to venture deeper into your post. I agree that it's nice to see things that may indicate that this ship could've been real at some point and that everyone will just assume anything about Amber regardless even though she seems to be the wild card in the whole thing. I don't think watching Blue is the Warmest Color is really a big indicator of anything, since it won the palme d'or and was talked about everywhere for a long time. Critically it's cited as a masterpiece and one of the best films ever. Not saying I agree or disagree, but that's the affect it had. The thing with the tomboy definitely gave me the warm fuzzies.

I completely agree. I don't know what it is about Amber, but Krystal just has this way of looking at her that is - to me - nothing short of pure adoration. With the way that she looks at her, you'd think Amber had the answers to the mysteries of life. If you can find someone who looks at you the way Krystal looks at Amber, you should probably keep them. Comparison of the first moment, with something more recent.
