  1. for everyone who is worried about JK no longer being the maknae:

i keep wanting to fuss at people because he IS STILL the maknae of Bangtan. they're not going to be interacting with txt every minute of their lives. they're still going to be their own unit where he is still going to be our golden maknae. also, he's 22 now so it doesn't hurt to let him grow up a little. i think he'll enjoy having younger people to mentor

  2.

i wasn't looking for these yet, but i knew they would come. Jo Kwon's I'm Da One music core performance remains one of my favorite predebut Kookie and Hope videos. i've been saying for months now, especially as news has become more concrete "i wonder which of these boys will be in the new group", Kookie was still 14 when he danced for Jo Kwon and no one realized until later.

I'm SO EXCITED to find all their predebut performances. it's going to be fun.

me, a whole 20 something watching Yeonjun's Introduction:

    omg. accurate

  3. If Yeonjun's 14 it really looks like he's taking the title as the youngest maknae to debut in a Kpop boy group

if he is the maknae or the maknae is 14, he would be ONE of the youngest. off the top of my head, i know that Taemin, Krystal and April Jinsol all debuted at 14, and that doesn't count GP Basic.

  4. same, but enjoying music has no age limit

    let's enjoy the ride ahmagahplz.png

yes, that's what i'm going to do. i'm going to want to tuck them all in bed but it'll be fun. i'm also thinking this could be the way to really get my kid into kpop. sure, she loves twice and rap monster, but she's old enough that if they're only 14-17, it's a perfect first boyband for her, ya know? (she's 8) and getting into a group from the beginning is always sweet.

  5. I'm not a sis, but good luck to us then. I must them once even if I have to go abroad. warstarplz.png

There's no way Dispatch would out Heechul without his consent. That guy has some fucking connections in the industry. If they out anyone, it would be either something agreed upon or artists from a shady lesser-known company unwilling to pay up.

Heechul somehow has the entire Korean media industry in the palm of his hand. I mean, Gunhee went on the WGM trip and we saw that they repeated most show things on their own and no on says a word. I honestly thought he would come clean after the military but he seems content in his glass closet. Everyone knows, but he denies it here and there, hangs out with one of his pretty friends and everyone just brushes it off. it is absolutely insane how blind people choose to be.

tbh, i don't think dispatch is shady enough to truly ruin someone's life, which is what they'd do by outing anyone who hasn't done their military service yet. until Korea changes policies, the only out idols we get will be older and well established. i'm honestly waiting to see what happens after people like Jo Kwon and Key do their service.

once those people have started paving the way for change, then perhaps we will eventually see a change in the younger generation.

  6. A group like SHINee, where a big portion of fans already think Key is gay and the shawols who have him as a bias probably don't want to marry him. That might be off but I can't remember when I've last seen a Shawol who both fancies Key and thinks he's straight.

With BTS it could go either way. They're certainly big enough in the West now, but we have to remember that someone coming out as gay in a Western boyband wouldn't be simple at all either, not even in 2018. Survivable perhaps, but not simple. And BTS have to juggle with the expectations from their Korean fans as well. Shipping brings in another element- we've seen how fans can act when there's an inkling that their fave might be in a gay relationship with someone other than a member (Sehun and Chef Suke for example), so we can't use the number of shippers to gauge whether a fandom would be accepting overall. If you take out delusional shippers who are only pro-LGBT when it suits them, more conservative fans who are against homosexuality, fans who were banking on marrying their bias, and casual fans who liked the group but now won't, how many people are left is anyone's guess.

I'd like to think that a larger portion of BTS' fans are drawn to them because they recognize certain elements they can relate to, but it might still be wishful thinking that the number is big enough to overcome the loss. That's why I think if idol group member(s) came out as gay it wouldn't necessarily be a swift, scandalous end to the idol group but rather a slower dwindling of interest amidst public scrutiny and loss of dedication from hardcore fans that slowly leads to hiatuses and disbandment. A whimper and not a bang, if you will. I hope that's wrong.

i just wanted to say that I have a bestie who fancies Key but truly thinks he's straight. she refuses to acknowledge any other possibility. she also is a Yunho stan and doesn't think he's gay either. she doesn't necessarily want to marry them, she just is a bit narrow minded in that regard.

on the other hand, i have another friend in the same friend group who thinks EVERYONE is gay.

i guess it takes all sorts.

also, i do agree, that BTS could possibly survive a coming out but then they'd also have to deal with the dating scandal and with the kind of fervor they insprie, dating can be such a tricky thing to share with the audience. even a Western one when they have those One Direction vibes. no one ever loved Harry's girlfriends. ya know?

random, i keep seeing all this talk about Heechul the past couple days and yesterday google suggested me an article about all of his "ex-girlfriends" and i laughed my way through the whole thing. if there was an idol who ever learned how to play the system and hide in the clearest of glass closets, it is Kim Heechul. i mean, Gunhee just posted the a cute couple selca throwback to ring in the new year. like, anyone denying those two at this point is blind.

  7. Thank you i'm glad you enjoyed it smile.png

Jhope : Didn't really give Jimin's comment too much thought , he might have been joking/teasing since boys do that a lot . for example Taehyung saying that he thinks Jimin might like men didn't really catch my attention either but Jimin's response to it did , i actually think that moment get overlooked a lot since it says a lot about Jimin .

Baekhyun: I hear you he's one of the most suspicious in exo . The things you listed might mean something but they also might mean nothing at all so i tried to not include those in my analysis , same with some statements that might be misleading because of language barrier ( see Yuta's "Girl-boy thing" was taken as heteronormative , when it's just a way of speech in Korean and shouldn't be taken literally )

But the body language of attraction is universal , i don't think you can go wrong with it .

You're right ; it is tragic , my original post had Suho as Gay/bi but i lost it and i had to retype everything , Thank you for reminding me ,i'm going to edit it rn laugh.png .

For TY i haven't seen enough of him so i'm not sure .

    Thank you !

Jungkook : Yes , i think he had a hard adjusting to everything overall , i wouldn't put too much thought into the oppa thing because : 1-A LOT of gay men enjoy being called oppa and don't mind it even if it comes from female , it's after all just a formality . 2-I'm sure he just disliked being called that by older noona which is kinda of creepy if you think about it , he was just 15/16 after all .

Taehyung : He's such a free spirit i wouldn't be surprised if he was anything tbh , but just like Jin or Jhope i guess he never made me raise an eyebrow i guess , and from what i heard i think he has the most dating rumors out of all the members in both Korean and Japanese communities . I actually think he's an open book and doesn't actively try to hide what he's thinking , people are just too caught up on his unconventional personality .

I wasn't aware Tae had a lot of dating rumors. i know he seeed really CLOSE with Park Bogum for a good long while but he's a guy so that makes me think not straight. Tae is an interesting one for sure.

  8. I don’t think i have a gaydar or anything like that but I do pick up on things very easily and it’s something that rarely fails me when reading people , so here are some of my observations :

    >Super Junior :

Heechul : Gay (ha) or at the very least Bi with preference for men , very comfortable in his glass closet , takes joy in confusing people and trolling them . All things considered , living in a country where people think gays don’t exist is not too bad actually , you can be as gay and as obvious as you want , and as long as you don’t verbally come out all is good and you can still keep your Job/gigs , you can live with a man for years and not get married and people will thing you’re best friends forever . Kind of ironic that such a homophobic country makes it so easy to date the same sex . But I guess after a while you start to feel that people don’t really see you as you are , as if you don’t really exist outside of what they believe you’re .

    Ryeowook : Gay

    Donghae : Bi/straight

    Kyuhyun : Bi/straight

    The rest : Probably straight/straightish .

    >TVXQ :

Yunho :Gay , kinda baffling how people genuinely thought he was straight in the past , he seems to have struggled with internalized homophobia and was under great pressure to present himself as Princely and manly . I’m happy that he put all that bullshit behind and he looks so radiant and content now and so comfortable with himself , luckily for him Korea seem to also dig this new side of his .

Jaejoong : Bi/Gay , In the days of Yunjae , Yunho was believed to be the straight one (lol) And jae to be gay , Good times . Now , Jaejoong is very hard to read and is very confusing . He seems to be hesitant on how he wants people to perceive him , should he show what people want to see of him or should he show what He wants to be perceived as . Im not up to date with what he’s doing right now but I hope he got over that and that he can show a more sincere side of himself . Also Japan!Jaejoong is the best Jaejoong .

    Junsu : Bi/straight

    Yoochun : Straight

    Changmin : Straight

    >EXO :

Sehun : Gay (ha) very blunt and direct , aware that “oppa can’t be Gay !†fangirls got his back , so he takes great advantage of it (That chilli pepper inta post is legendary)

    Kai : Bi/straight

    Baek: Bi/straight

Kyungsoo : ??? (I will go with straight but I’m also remembering that clip where he glanced at his crotch after watching kai dance)

    >BTS :

I just got into them , so i don't have enough background , this is entirely based on vibes and how they respond to men/women , I’ll try to elaborate on them since they seem to be a touchy subject here , so please don't eat me

Jimin : Gay/Bi with preference for men (I don’t think I need to expend on him since it’s obvious to anyone with eyes laugh.png , he is probably the hardest to read along with Jhope but seems to be very open and unapologetic with what he likes and how he's as a person in general )

Jungkook : Bi (Can't really tell what his preference is since he seems very guarded around women , apart from that he definitely likes male attention, he seems to have a fixation on the slender boyish type (troye sivan ? ) , he also seems to have just recently came to terms with his sexuality after having some struggle with it in the past (maybe troye sivan played a role in that and that's why he likes him so much ) Contrary to Jimin who manifestly have always known about his , and came to terms with it long before . And i feel like going forward he's going to use his music as a creative outlet to express himself in that regard .

RM : Straight/Bi-curious : I have no doubt in my mind that RM has a strong desire to experiment with men sexually out of curiosity and/or to have a definite answer on what his sexuality is , but i don't think he would or want to get in a relationship with one .

Yoongi : Bi/pan : He said it himself , no need for speculations when it comes to him . Like Jimin he seems to be very self-assured about what he likes , but i don't really think he puts any serious thoughts about his sexuality "I like what i like and it concerns only me " what i mean by that is that he doesn't feel the need to capitalize on it or prove anything to anyone contrary to Jungkook for example who i feel everything changed for him when he made his discovery (I'm not really sure i'm explaining myself well , and i hope i'm not offending anyone with this , it's just how i feel ) .

    Taehyung : Straight /bi

    Jin : Straight

Jhope : Straight , i didn't pick up on anything from him even from his on-camera persona, if you think he's gay based on that you're probably just picking on stereotypes .

    >NCT :

Jungwoo : Gay (I love him)

    Ten : Gay

    Jaehyun : Bi/gay

Not sure about the rest .

    >Bigbang :

GD : Bi with preference for women , probably fooled around with men plenty of times .

    SG : BI/straight .

    The rest : Straight .

Edit : I'm up for healthy discussions ! don't hesitate to correct me on things smile.png

Omg. I agree with everything you saod about Bangtan. You put my thoughts about JHope and RM and Suga into perfect words.

Also, I get what you're saying about Jungkook. He's definantly finally getting comfortable in his own skin. He debuted at 15, a time when most kids are really starting to figure out their sexuality before they get a chance to come to terms with it. So I'ms ure the process took him longer simply because he didn't have as many opportunities to just expieriment and know what he wanted. I also always find his aversion to being called Oppa interesting. I saw a video of him reacting to a little girl saying it the other day and although it wasn't as much visible dislike as he had shown before there was still an obvious discomfort. I think this may have to do with his mom being older than his dad and shaping how he feels on that though.

Why do you think Taehyung is straight. For me, he is one of the hardest to read.

Also, people always bring up Jimin's comment about JHope liking men too much but I honestly think that was just boys being boys making dumb jokes even if they aren't in the best taste.

  9. I watched from army unnie bc it was the only eng subs I found. She posted the links under the description: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aOQMEVxuKJ0&feature=youtu.be

Someone on here previously mentions a problem with her or her subs. Idk if it's you, but that's why she/he doesn't want to watch from army unnie.

thank you. i'll take what i can get because beggars can't be choosers.

omg, literally the only thing my brain is focused on is the JiKook in the first picture. recently, i am such a jikook shipper and i don't know why.

  10. maybe big accounts don't see the point, since mnet blocks?

it doesn't have to go up on Youtube. there is dailymotion or just having a download available.

or, why hasn't mnet put it up? there are plenty of people who didn't get to see it that want to. it's just really bothering me because i so want to watch it and i've seen little clips but i don't understand how they all go together and it makes me sad. i was working at that time. i drive a schoolbus, there was NO WAY for me to even try and sneak watch it.
