I just think its gross to put that kind of pressure on a customer, especially when they are stuck in your personal care for some odd hours.  Maybe if he did this as the plane landed I would be less disgusted.

Yeah, I can see how awful it would be if the passenger was put in an awkward position by not interested in such attentions, but if he was into it, it would be a great opportunity and a feel good story, which is why I'm being optimistic. Maybe OP can say how their seat partner reacted?

  2. This is in no way a sanitization of the Army, as it's a toxic, stressful environment. That being said, Taemin has been working since 14, training since younger. He's a workaholic, and might not know how to deal without his work.

I really hope this is an opportunity, so when he's out, he takes time off.

K-pop hasn't been the same for me since he left, but me and others would wait whatever it takes, for the sake of his health.

oh okay, I thought it was still an ongoing lawsuit. Well, in that case, if the lawsuit is over - that actually makes it even easier for Guanlin to come back and reunite with the other members, because he's not bound by any terms in his contract or of the legal proceedings.

Hangeng's situation is a bit different because WannaOne was a temporary group and iirc, they made a promise to reunite (and even still Heechul and Hangeng still hang out and are friends). Also, it's not about money or career/financial incentives, it's about sentimental value, their fans, showing gratitude to the group that gave you a platform as a jumping off point from which you gained all the fame and success you had today... and most of all, about friendship (if their friendship was real). If I were him, I'd go, that's all.

Whether it's right or wrong for him to not partake in this, that's up to the individual.

All I wanted to discuss was the traitor narrative you refered to. While I do believe some Chinese idols have used k-ent as nothing more than a stepping stone only to go back to China and post pro-CCP propaganda, in Guanlin's case, he had tangible grounds to leave through lawsuit. I insist: he won in SK courts as a foreign idol.

Had the lawsuit not happened, he would partake in this reunion. He does owe his career to k-ent, but considering the conditions in which he left that industry, I disagree he's ethically compelled to come back for a reuinion. He might not want to approach k-ent with a 10 foot pole for all we know.

What I will say is that you're right about Guanlin's lawsuit... I forgot that he filed one against Cube... and if that's still being worked out, then that's definitely a reason not to return... I just wish that he hadn't severed ties with the SK industry in the first place, even though Cube is apparently a shit company according to Cube stans. He was well-liked there and if WayV is anything to go by, it is still possible to be an idol in both countries without having to burn a bridge.

As I said, the lawsuit is over, Guanlin won. He's free of his contract with Cube. He has no other connection to k-ent. There's honestly, no reason or incentive for him to return to Wanna One given his circumstances. It's like expecting Hangeng to participate in Suju anniversary activities. Blame Cube for selling his contract (seriously, why did they do that).

guanlin not showing is just going to further drive home the stereotypes of chinese/taiwanese/hk idols being "unfaithful"... like, im sure hes busy with his own schedules, but isnt everybody? if i were him, i would make every effort to attend a group reunion... wannaone was what gave him the fame and success he's had today...

I think he already has that stigma as he left his K company through a lawsuit, even if in his particular case, there were tangible enough grounds for him, a foreigner, being able to win the lawsuit against Cube in SK courts.

With the lawsuit, he might have burned bridges with the SK industry, and with the crackdown the CCP is making on celebrity culture and the further banning of Hallyu, not coming back is the safest option for him tbh.

I'm sure fans won't like it, but I see where he's coming from.

  6. 1) Their kids are the ones speaking against Brad Pitt and standing for their mom. That speaks volumes.

    2) Angelina Jolie told Brad Pitt what Harvey Weinstein had done to her (rape attempt) and he STILL WORKED WITH HIM.

    3) Whoever's putting the clown reactions on replies stating facts: Quit it, Brad won't fuck you.
