Of all places you went to SM sites? :imstupid:

If you're not from the US, don't bother buying from amazon. Try Ktown4u, they have a 40% discount in the link i posted.

I didn't know better 🥲 This is my first time trying to buy physical.

I'm currently in the US btw. I'll take it as a "yes amazon".

  2. I tried ordering through the SM website but the shipping was like over $70 which is CRAZY. I'm currently looking through amazon but thanks for the other links!

Does anyone know if I have to pay customs or something if I were to buy from Amazon?

virtually all projects shown at cannes get a standing ovation so that means nothing really

This. Standing ovations on their own mean nothing at Cannes. What matters is the length. If it's around 8 minutes and beyond, they mean it. Otherwise, it's just courtesy.

I'm sure the first few standing ovations at Cannes meant something, but now they just do it to not hurt the feelings of the makers lol.

Her dog has her ex’s name ?

The way I did a double check too lmfao. A friend of mine who gets TRIGGERED when her ex's name is mentioned bc despite having broken up like 5 years ago as she still hasn't gotten over him so my alarms were raised more than they shoulda been. Not saying it would affect Jennie the same way bc JenKai wasn't dating for long though, but yeah, it's an odd coincidence.

That being said, my best wishes to Jennie. I don't have pets but I know that to owners, they become family.

  5. As someone who has defended Halle Bailey repeatedly for The Little Mermaid, in Snow White's case, the character's fair skin is a crucial part of the character and a motif of the story. We can be flexible and put a fair skinned character that is not necessarily white (they can be pale East Asian), and even that would be stretching it bc "Snow WHITE", you know.

Overall, leave characters whose race is crucial to the story and historical characters untouched. Or... start making newer diverse work so actors are not subjected to racism.

These constant remakes are blatant cash grabs. If A24 didn't exist Hollywood would be shit.

  6. For context, origially the showrunner was gonna be Amy Seimetz. It was gonna have a feminist outlook about a pop idol, groomed by the industry, finding her way towards liberation. That until The Weeknd didn't like the heightened focus on the "female perspective", and promptly replaced her with Sam Levinson, best known by Euphoria, show which gratuitously depicts nudity and sex between teenaged characters.

Some months ago, the Rolling Stone did an exposé on the toxic work environment of The Idol, in which the crew also expressed dissappointment in the show's outlook going from a subversive perspective to misogynistic rape fantasies and gratuitious sex scenes.

Yaaas, Minato #1 as he should be

Sakura's popularity has definitely shot up in recent years, which I think is a combination of multiple things. Like, you have Boruto, which, despite being fairly divisive, seems to do a better job at writing her character than Naruto did. You also have all the fanfics from the past few years that focus on her and turn her into a stronger character and give her the development Kishimoto never did. Also, in general, I think a lot of anime fans have developed a more feminist mindset in recent times? At least, gen z has. Like, you don't see people openly hating on female characters now as much as they did back in the early to mid 2000s.

So basically, all those factors combined have resulted in Sakura becoming a much more popular character in recent years.

I never understood Sakura hate. Yeah, her development as a character is inconsistent and frustrating, but those are issues of Kishimoto's writing. People have hated on her as if she had killed babies and what not lol.

I've seen two kinds of Sakura haters:

    1. The ones that hate Sakura but praise Hinata in the same breath, even though Hinata has little to no depth or development as a character, she's just a Naruto simp. It's like a part of the fandom likes Hinata's submissiveness, but hate female hot-blodded characters like Sakura.

    2. SasuNaru shippers that take their frustrations out in Sakura bc they hate the way Naruto ended. I dislike the Naruto ending as well and ALL ships except Shikamaru and Temari are forced and make no sense, but it's not Sakura's fault Kishimoto forced that ending so everyone would have kids and keep the franchise alive lol.
