I hope you're all doing well.  I'm happy to see Chanyeol doing well.  I still read NB off and on and saw about his dad's cafe thing and did see about that on here when it happened. It saddens me that his dad ended up closing the whole cafe over it. I hope that anti is proud of themselves. So shameful when they lied.  And I saw those comments too and it disgusted me especially after learning it was all  a lie.  Of course NB won't clarify. That's the main reason why I can't stand these translation sites who pick and choose based on clicks because they won't clarify when they get something wrong.

So it's live streaming? From what I understand snapchat you upload snips of video clips and can do so whenever you want. I don't use it but yt people I follow do so I see what they post on their yt accounts and it seems like just short clips you can share with your viewers and you can post text and message each other...  I have no idea what niconico is.... :\ 

np ^^ Ordinary had 10 fansigns iirc while Time only had 3. Considering the circumstances with Time's promotions, it definitely performed/sold better. It looks like Good Luck and even HTLHTL had more sales driven by the international kpop market compared to the recent 2 albums. I heard if the hanteo numbers  are bigger than the gaon numbers, it's sort of a red flag for sajaegi but I doubt Beast did that. The only plausible reason is that the sales from korean hanteo stores are significantly bigger than albums shipped outside of Korea which probably means Beast really has a big Korean fandom I guess...

It's funny because people were so quick to judge just by the teaser but the drama is doing very well ever since the pilot episode and they've been breaking records. I really like the storyline and it keeps getting interesting every episode. Hopefully it continues to do well.

I was on Hulu earlier this evening to watch a show and saw the drama on there. I almost clicked on it cause the description seemed interesting but I went to watching the show I went for (sorry Naeun South Park was new last night). And it's good she's getting the older fans cause they're the ones who are loyal to drama's. If she's in something in the future after this they might follow her to that drama and enjoy her there too. And who knows they might come to like her with APink as well and they can get new fans.   I forgot that was her drama when I saw it and then when I saw your post was like "oh!" lmao fail.

Exatly. Yeah 9 versions seems a taaad much. But I don't think SM is playing around, with what happened in the last few years. I think it's in their top priority that EXO become a huge success in Japan. I think each member is getting an individual photobook of like 10 pages lol, the weight for each version is 160g, while standard SHINee & SNSD single releases are 100g only. So I'm expecting it to be a bit more fuller... for a jewel case that is. the CD+DVD might come in better packaging though.

Same, I'm expecting 1 more remake single and then a original single before their first jap album sometime next year.

What can you do with 9 versions though? Lmao. Someone has to be reallllly creative lol.  I'm betting so too especially with lack of DBSK. And where is SHINee by the way? Yep, I'm betting by next fall they will have an original song. This time next year they will. It should be enough time I think to really establish themselves. And look at the concerts and fan meeting stuff they've had already in Japan and really filling up those stadium's. They might even be ahead of schedule lol.

Yeah it's Korea's version of snapchat lol. I've never used snapchat but a lot of youtube people I follow use it and post video's and it's the same as what I've been seeing with this stuff.  Is it just for idols or do regular citizens do broadcasts too?

The fandom usually bounces back fast when incidents happen and we have. ^^ 

 

As for Cinderella, Yoseob had his first performance day today. He was paired with Younha and then Hyunjin. It seems like a wonderful production. You can see the updates on the previous page and there is more in his thread. 

I'm glad it's dying now. And unless there's other evidence people should believe him. He's done nothing but show support for Beast and his individual career and his fans over the yrs and with being taken serious as an idol. Everything he's been through to get to this point he wouldn't throw it away and be reckless.  If he is dating he's probably keeping it on the down low. He wouldn't be at a cafe out in the open like that. Doesn't that look like Cube's cafe? I don't know there are so many cafe's in Korea it's hard to tell sometimes without a sign lol.

Oh? I've always enjoyed Kpop idol's Japanese songs sometimes even better than their Korean ones.  It would be nice though if they can eventually get to a point like 2pm for ex with doing producing and all that with their own music. 

I don't know about y'all, but I am really happy they chose 'Love Me Right' as their first Japanese single (I would have preferred a new song tbh, BUT if they were going to translate one of their singles, I'm glad it was that one). SM knows what their doing, and the Japanese market is COMPLETELY different from the Korean one. SM has learned from their past mistakes, SNSD's most successful debuts singles in Japan were Gee & Genie, followed by the ultimate hit Mr Taxi, they were cute concepts, pretty, and friendly to non-stans. "Bad Girl" & "The Boys Jap. ver." flopped, so I was sure SM wasn't going to remake Call Me Baby.

 

To give you guys some understanding of the Japanese market. "CMIYC" was outsold by KARA's "Summer Magic" in 1 day, I believe. So you can kinda tell what the public like over there.

 

Why do I feel like EXO rarely performs Call Me Baby nowadays, when was the last time they performed it on a public stage?

1.) 9 versions of their single. WTF, I was not ready, but YesAsia won't charge me until the release date so I still have time.

2.) "Love Me Right ~Romantic Universe~", I have no idea why they added a sub-title, but I'm expecting some flower boyish looks that will leave me in tears for days.

Even though I personally love CMB more than LMR thinking about the Japanese market I definitely agree it was the better song. Why 9 version's? Isn't that a bit much? :\ I have no idea what romantic universe means either. Maybe we'd get some more Chanyeol moaning? Hahaha. Definitely flower boy shit lol. Maybe some smokey eye makeup like what Bakehyun wears lol. I wonder if they're going to promote on shows? That will be crazy lol. 

I think they will keep it to k/M versions and j versions will be separate. Some songs like title tracks and past promoted tracks will probably get translated but others will probably be original.

Probably. I'd say for a while they'd just translate some previous songs to get established and once they're fine and seeing they got enough fans they will start doing original songs. I bet next fall they will start original songs.

Yeah, YesAsia always seems to be stocked and if they do go out they seem pretty good about restocking. Not like Kpoptown where it's a bit smaller of a site compared to YesAsia and YA has been around a looong time now.

we'll see maybe , maybe not, for SM artists most of thier songs stay either Japanese or Korean, its rare to have two versions esp. if the song isnt demanding to be translated. I think they might keep their japanese and K/C songs separate. TVXQ still slays tho, but for now due to the army enlistment sitation exo will be est. themselves thier.

I think so too because it's better to be safe in the beginning and build yourself up. Everyone does that lol. Establish yourself and then you can branch out and do original songs. Like 2pm did that and eventually started having songs just for Japan and their songs are so good and they do really well and are now very well respected as artist's in Japan (not just idols but composers and everything). So, I have a lot of hope that EXO can do that too eventually.

Hey everyone. I haven't been on here in forever it seems lmao. I was busy in May-July with an internship and then I got lazy with shit. I'm looking forward to the Japanese debut. I hope we get to see them do some shows. I'm kind of disappointed they're doing LMR and not CMB. I like CMB better as a song and think it's more hyped up but hopefully people will like it either way. I'm betting too they will do just other previous songs with just changing the language for awhile. It usually happens with acts.
