I agree with you. I think a lot of fans put too much pressure on themselves and raise their expectations so high that it's inevitable that they are gonna be disappointed even before hearing the whole song. I'm not exactly sure either what people are expecting cuz I mean.. this is kpop. Songs are meant to be fun and trendy. Not exactly to be taken so seriously. How great can a kpop song be? For the past 3 years I can't think of any kpop song where I've thought "omg!! this is the best kpop song ever!" Also it was barely 10 sec. heard. I remember when "gentleman" was teased everyone said it was horrible. Then when the full version of the song and mv was released people said they started liking it. Another example would be "i got a boy". Very different cause of the choppiness of the song but later grew on fans. I believe the same could happen with Wolf. I also thought the leaked version was messed up and made me laugh but ended up liking it as well. I don't believe it was done to hurt Exo as some say on here. I believe "wolf" was done to make them stand out. Maybe other rookies groups have made more comebacks but I can't think of any of those songs that stood out or made a big impact. Nothing stuck in my head. I admire SM and Exo for taking risks doing a concept/song outside from your common "cookie cutter" type songs we hear all the time. Whether you like it or not, Wolf will be unique. MAMA was unlike any song released in 2012. Some didn't care for it cuz it was different. ie. Screamo, religious chants, etc. But look at it now. Still selling well. SM knows what they're doing. Wolf may or may not "hook" fans with Awoooo. But again, how will they know unless they try yeah? We deserve to give it a fair chance. And by those recent airport fancams I don't think they'll lose fans over one song. If so, those people are very shallow.
