  1. Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably have my younger sisters look into this for me. I'm not well-acquainted with Kpop fanclubs here in the Philippines.
  2. Finally have some extra money to spend on the mini-album. What are the good, reliable sites to purchase from if you're in Southeast Asia?
  3. I take back what I said about Forever Young not being nuanced and detailed in comparison to Ddu-du Ddu-du. The choreography was a total treat to watch. I think I'm actually liking it better than Ddu-du Ddu-du now. The best thing about it is Jisoo stepping up her game. If this doesn't wake YG up to give the girls more comebacks, then I don't even know what else will.
  4. KBS banned WINNER's Everyday for having the word "lotto" in the lyrics, because it apparently refers to a specific product brand even when it was obvious enough that it was just the short word for "lottery." Can't get any more bonkers than that. The opportunity to go to a KBS radio show is always there and if they do go, they won't be able to sing See U Later. Winner went to Kiss the Radio and wasn't able to perform their very title track which heavily disappointed them.
  5. I think she really did shine more in Really, too, it's just that I liked her vocals in See U Later more due to them being emotionally-stirring and the fast singing really Regarding the BLACKPINK-2NE1 issue-
  6. I'm officially picking See U Later as my most favorite Square Up song. Jisoo's vocals are making me so goddamn emotional (and not just slightly, but strongly, as in making me shed tears and I'm a guy who's not even the target audience of the song). On the whole, I love how the girls delivered their singing lines in this song, and the rap parts are just as fantastic. But let me just say that I couldn't be prouder of what Jisoo showed in this comeback - her vocals shone the most in this album despite still having the least lines overall (which I'm quite disappointed about actually) and she just continually improves on her dancing. I can't properly express how enchanted I am of her this time around. I hope it's not too far in the future that she gets her rightful moment - a solo song that showcases what she's really capable of as one of BLACKPINK's main vocalists. Regarding the album, Teddy has once again shown why he's still my most trusted producer in YG (with G-dragon coming a close second). This album is a testament to the recurring (and let's be honest, tired) YG philosophy of "quality over quantity" and I can't even bring myself to lie about it, even though I constantly hate on and berate YG for having painstakingly long hiatuses between song/album releases. This is not to say that we're just going to settle with the bare minimum of songs again if a long-ass hiatus is coming our way, though, but I'm just saying. Good albums make fans smile, great albums make fans happy. Square Up just did the latter for me.
  7. Today's performances were so much better than yesterday's. Forever Young's choreography was better displayed, which I highly appreciated.
  8. I`d say choreographers should pay those ignoramuses no heed. I think it`s their best title track. The replay value is monumentally high it`s crazy. The “tteugeowo tteugeowo tteugeowo like fire†part repeated ad infinitum alone could be a song in itself and I`ll gobble it up passionately. I fucking love it.
  9. Of course, the 4K videos were miles ahead of the official MBC uploads. Definitely changed my initial impression of the performances I watched in the livestream earlier. The girls went in with all guns blazing. My opinion of Forever Young`s choreography also positively changed. It was quite fun to watch, though I still think Ddu-ddu Ddu-ddu`s better nuanced and detailed.
  10. Definitely. Whistle is still their best choreography by far. They should also try working with other famous choreographers. Koharu Sugawara comes to mind especially.
  11. I've only seen him confirm that Ddu-du Ddu-du's choreography was his and Kyle's. There was never a confirmation for Forever Young.
  12. Those were great comeback performances. Wonder who choreographed Forever Young. From what I saw, I prefer Ddu-du Ddu-du's - it's more nuanced and detailed than Forever Young's. But I'll wait for the dance practice videos to form a proper judgment as camerawork in live performances doesn't do the choreography justice at all.
  13. Private YT video is probably the dance practice, just waiting for the live performances to be finished so it can be revealed.
  14. I've watched the MV for God knows how many times already and I'm still so blown away by it as if it's my first time watching. Easily my favorite part of the song next to the ending segment. I just can't help but groove to it every time.
  15. Love the ending segment of Ddu-du Ddu-du so much. Been replaying the mini for a couple of hours now but I still can't exactly pinpoint my "most" favorite song. Emphasis on "most" as all songs are easy favorites. Damn. What a great mini-album.
  16. God, I can't get over how great Jisoo sounded in Ddu-du Ddu-du.
  17. Heard all the songs. This is truly an iconic mini-album worth the hype and the 1-year wait. God bless BLACKPINK.
