  1. Not gonna lie, some of the posts subtly bashing/dissing Treasure in the YG male trainees' thread are nauseating to read, especially in the first few pages. And it's still going on, sadly. I get the disappointment and frustration but wishing (hell, even just thinking) that Treasure won't succeed because one's favorite didn't make it in is just nasty, evil akgae-ism at work.
  2. Doesn't mean anything when YGEX also tweeted the Treasure group name announcement.
  3. The paranoia over a half-assed release of the official group name and photo is hilarious. It's just another day at incompetent YG Entertainment. Don't overthink it.
  4. I'm a-ok with Treasure. Half-expected it anyway. But Christ, YG really half-asses a lot of things these days. They can't even be bothered to put up new pictures of the members for the official group name release. Really, the only YG group to get consistently good teasers and promo pictures nowadays is WINNER, the others either half-assed or decent at best. And the misogynist accusation hurled against Hyunsuk for the expensive branded bag gift was hilariously terrible. Only morons can concoct such inanity and morons of the same wavelength will be fooled into believing.
  5. Magnum is a far cooler name than Treasure. If YG is going for the spelling with the number 9 replacing the letter G (that is, if YG surprises with a 9-member boy group instead of 7), even better - it continues the tradition of YG artists' names with numbers in them: 1TYM, 2NE1, SE7EN. Magnum is a kind of firearm before it was a condom brand. Prior to fans bringing it up, I had zero idea that the name was a condom brand. If you want to associate perversion to the name just because it's a condom brand, then that's on you. Also, fun fact, not everyone lives in America, so it will only be Western fans who'll be going with the idiotic association every time the name Magnum is mentioned.
  6. Indeed. Not sure why some people are making mountains out of molehills with regards to their awkwardness. Apart from being their first Vlive, the members are also obviously feeling down. This was not a good time to do a Vlive at all, should've waited until Monday at least to let the boys sort their feelings out and recompose themselves. Agree, but I definitely understand where the passionate fans are coming from. I doubt the conflict was ever true at all. I thought it was pretty clear throughout the show that YG himself likes Hyunsuk.
  7. What I really like about Hyunsuk's inclusion is that his edgy style provides a nice contrast to the flower boy concept. Makes for an interesting group dynamic. I don't think YG is going to force him to change his style so that he squarely fits the overall concept (or at least I hope he doesn't).
  8. YES. I'm happy with either Hyunsuk or Yoonbin. Very nice. What's with the comments saying that the staff won over YG that's why he chose Hyunsuk over Yoonbin? Some of you conveniently gloss over the fact that YG also really likes Hyunsuk. Nothing. We're just banking on YG's unpredictability.
  9. Same. Mashiho is just too big a loss, fandom-wise and talent-wise. Fuck, YG is such an imbecile. Who the hell evaluates trainees' performances from start of the show to the final episode and sees Mashiho as a consistently good to great performer, looks at his Vlive's solo cam videos and finds out he's extremely popular with a huge following due to the overwhelming number of views and hearts, goes to Twitter and YouTube and and sees the flood of comments clamoring for his inclusion in the new boy group... ...And still think about choosing other Treasure 13 trainees over him. Only YG. Only fucking YG. Fuck this guy.
  10. So we went from zero lines to limited lines lol. Honestly, if you went with the latter statement earlier I wouldn't have called you out, I would've even supported you rather. But saying that Jaehyuk should be given zero lines was just scornful. You can't even help yourself.
  11. Calling Jaehyuk a "filler" member is an egregious thing to say, no matter how bad anyone feels about YG choosing him over Mashiho. Whatever happened to "every trainee is talented and deserves to debut?" Sure, he's currently lacking skill-wise (I don't think it's as massive as many in this thread has exaggerated), but there's still plenty of time prior to the group debut. I'm damn sure he'll further improve.
  12. I have absolutely nothing against Jaehyuk (I partially like him), but the fact that the last slot is already reserved for the rapper position means that Mashiho is truly out and that devastates me. Despite the fact that there are also plenty of YGTB fans from other fandoms? Why not? I'm pretty sure you, too, were attached to some of the members of your favorite groups when they were still trainees. Don't pretend that you weren't.
  13. Fuck's sake YG, I thought this was supposed to be the final episode. Not only that, there are no subtitles. My personal remaining final three: 1. Hyunsuk 2. Mashiho 3. Jeongwoo or Yoonbin I love Jeongwoo's vocals but I'm leaning towards Yoonbin a little bit, coz I'm quite interested in seeing the dynamic of a YG group with 3 rappers, which would be the first in the company's history.
  14. I'm talking about exactly that. I've been off of YouTube for the whole week until today and unfortunately saw the spoiler. Had absolutely no idea that the result was widespread (why would it be widespread though? It should not have been acceptable. ). I'm still hyped for tomorrow's performances after seeing the teaser, but having been spoiled of the result already killed my anticipation of the winner based on the performances. Spoiler providers who don't give a fuck about people not wanting spoilers and just want to experience the joy of watching the show weekly should die a slow, agonizing death. This not only applies to Treasure Box but to every other show as well.
  15. The ninth circle of hell is reserved for insanely dumbass people who post spoilers on YouTube without warning. This is one of the few shows I'm looking forward to watching the most weekly and being spoiled of the results is the most terrible thing. Fuck.
  16. Congrats to the girls for winning a Bonsang. Yeah, even though YG is always shitty when it comes to artist treatment and management I'm at least thankful that the company is free of sexual depravity; which is why the accusation from akgaes and haters that was thrown towards Jennie regarding sexual favors from YG and/or Teddy was just downright sickening, the lowest of the low.
  17. Hell, I'm not even a Team A fan except for Yedam. I don't even have the slightest idea about any of the members since I watched nothing of MIXNINE until this show came along.
  18. Maybe you've heard of these: "I prefer idol A's dancing style, but in terms of skill and technique, idol B did better and should have won." "I prefer idol A's vocal color, but idol B definitely is the better singer as he has better technique and control." LOL at the aggressive part.
  19. We're judging their skills here objectively, so your subjective opinion can take a backseat. No one's stopping anyone from preferring Junghwan's style, but if you deny that Hyunsuk was better in this particular instance, I repeat, you're a "shitty judge of skill." YG even admitted it himself: Hyunsuk has the upper hand in skill and technique. YG only chose Junghwan for his potential.
  20. Shitty decision to pick Junghwan over Hyunsuk. Hyunsuk was clearly the better dancer - more impactful, smoother, better control. If you say otherwise, you're also a shitty judge of skill. Also lol at "Hyunsuk picking an easy target" - why would Junghwan choose dancing as a challenge if he's not confident in his own abilities? Saying Junghwan's an easy target is downplaying him.
