Finally found time to listen to thoroughly listen to the iDecide mini-album.

Hmm... Dive is good, but I think it is iKON's weakest title song by far. I think this is their first album where I thought the title song could've been replaced by any other song from the album. The b-sides are definitely better for me, especially All The World - damn, what a jam, now one of my favorite songs from them. 

Overall though, iDecide is a solid album that delivered, and a good comeback after a tumultuous 2019 for the group. Here's to a brighter prospect for them this year. 

This is exactly the kind of promotion they need after almost a year of absence. I'm just very glad that YG is actually stepping it up and making up for lost time. 

I can now say with utmost confidence that this is definitely going to be Treasure's year. 

Nice to see the boys having fun. 

Didn't see a Going Crazy performance film coming at all. What a very pleasant surprise. Color me hyped. 

Things are looking up for Treasure (and for YG as well, it looks like). I think YG has been doing a fine job promoting Treasure pre-debut. Treasure Map, with only just two episodes so far, is already a thoroughly enjoyable weekly watch. I don't care much for Kpop artists in Korean variety shows, but reality shows like this one filmed by the members themselves I've always liked easily.

They're up against Bolbbalgan4. It was clear from the onset that they won't be topping all the charts.

My God, where to begin - the expressions, the energy, the choreography... The girls really stepped their game up this comeback. 

I'm just so thoroughly impressed right now.  

You guys need to know that there is a legitimate reason why Youtube adjusted those views. Stop saying shit like Youtube purposely deleted those views just cause they wanted to. I’m face palming hard right now while reading most of the youtube comments like it really shows the average age of most of the blinks.

 

Youtube has to freeze the views until they verified the legitimacy of those views coming in. Once those views are verified then those are added to the view count. If views are suddenly decreasing then those views are removed because either they are made by bots or spamming.

It's common sense that's sadly needs to be said. The YouTube comment section rips your soul apart. 

I'm happy to have my gut feeling from the teaser proven right - Kill This Love is indeed their best title track, or song even, as is the MV, which was amazing and certainly their best yet. I'm totally down with the almost lyric-less chorus - the beat is too addictive by itself that it alone is enough to sell such a chorus. 

I think the best part of the song for me is the outro as it concluded the song perfectly. 

HOLY SHIT.

Kill This Love could very well surpass anything they've released so far. 

^I'm excited to see her perform my favorite B-side off the album. Didn't expect that she'll actually be promoting it. 

Dara brought us a gift-

If the boys' trip to Bali is part of their filming for Treasure 13 TV, then that should spark some positivity - that despite the shit that YGE's been going through right now, preparations for the group's debut have not been stunted. It's perfectly natural to worry, but don't let yourself get too carried away by the negativity surrounding Kpop at the moment. 

Chart update before going to bed:

Spring is number 1 on all charts except Melon and Naver. Bom is also currently the biggest selling Kpop female (most likely solo) act on iTunes, according to Bom Stats on Twitter. 

Crazy that Bom is achieving all this despite a 5-year hiatus. DAMN.

My God, Bom really came back to reclaim her throne in the charts. 

This is truly the comeback Bom deserves after all these years of hurting. I'm a bit teary-eyed seeing her doing what she loves doing again - singing and performing. My favorite voice in Kpop has finally returned and graced my ears. 

I LOVE, love the song. Dara's featuring was great and the rap part totally caught me off-guard. Oh, what a blessing this day is.

A little over 30 minutes left. I'm so damn excited. 

So far, the only issue - if proven - YGE has to face and deal with is the tax evasion case for the club YHS and his brother own. Not really a big deal, they just have to pay the unpaid taxes they've managed to evade for years. The obsessive witchhunt for YGE's downfall is the only one that's making YG's tax evasion case far worse than it is because the lunatic, sheep-minded anti-YG Kpop fans are lumping YG's case with Seungri's when they're actually separate. 

unfortunately it seems YG ent has said Dara won't be performing with Bom

but I won't rule it out completely tbh- maybe if she gets a positive response, then Dara may be allowed to join her for one performance

To be fair, Dara's probably quite busy with her own activities right now. I just hope she'll get to perform with Bom in at least two or even one stage.

Even if he finally released her I would still want CL to leave. YG simply lost all respect as a reliable label in their treatment of her.

I think many of us are in agreement with that. Although I have to say that I'm still hanging even on a tiny sliver of hope that CL does FINALLY release substantial music (i.e. album) this year. That's all I've been waiting for for years.

His post begins, “I think this will be the final ‘FROM YG’ post of the first half of the year.â€

 

Regarding iKON, Yang Hyun Suk shared that B.I recently proposed a duo album with Bobby before their next group release. Yang Hyun Suk agreed, so the two are hard at work on their unit album.

 

“It is expected that a full studio album will easily be possible if filled with duo tracks and solo tracks. Taking recording, music video filming, and post-production, it seems that the timing of their release will be around May,†he revealed. iKON is expected to release new music following B.I and Bobby’s unit album.

 

About WINNER’s album, Yang Hyun Suk explained, “The members requested that the studio album release scheduled for May be pushed back. There was not enough time for them to complete album recording with busy end-of-year activities and touring, and they wished to work on one or two additional track.â€

 

He continued, “As a result, the music video filming scheduled for February was canceled, and they are currently focused on just music production. When it is soon completed, the studio album release date will be announced.â€

 

On solo music from WINNER members, Yang Hyun Suk revealed that Kang Seung Yoon has been preparing his solo album for the past year, but the process has been slow as he has focused on producing songs for WINNER. Song Mino is also likely to release a new solo album this year. In addition, WINNER’s upcoming studio album will contain solo tracks from Kim Jin Woo and Lee Seung Hoon.

 

Yang Hyun Suk also announced that The Black Label producer R.Tee and YGX artist Anda are releasing a collaboration track on March 6. The song, produced by R.Tee, was in talks to be used for BLACKPINK, but R.Tee expressed his hopes to release the song under his own name before enlisting in the military.

 

He concluded by sharing that news about SECHSKIES, Eun Ji Won, CL, Lee Hi, and Akdong Musician’s Lee Soo Hyun will be announced later on when dates become finalized.
