I am definitely not in the ends justifies the means camp. This is a huge sociopolitical problem and we must all find it within ourselves to fight prejudice, inequities and injustice. We really have no right to force or coerce people who are already under all sorts of public scrutiny and pressure to be placed under further duress. For me personally I won’t lose much if I speak out but for these celebs the consequences can be far more severe and tbh we don’t understand their situation. This is why I’m a strong believer of keeping entertainment separate from politics and religion. Let us do the fighting and leave these idols alone. If they want to and can speak out great, if not that’s okay. Stay safe everyone.

This is probably the longest I’ve ever waited for anything... my cousin graduated from college, got a job and married over this period of time.

[knetizen] Chungha shows off her lip piercing
Moa_Nunu replied to nefhilim's topic in Netizen Nation
I hope she has close friends who can let her know that she’s beautiful just the way she is and has no need for ps. She’s free to do what she wants with her body, but I hope she doesn’t regret it later. She’s only 24... all these fillers, injections and bone shaving will age her faster as she gets to her late 20s which means she’ll have to get even more ps to keep up with younger idols. I really would hate to see that happen. -
[knetizen] (G)I-DLE’s new songs’ line distribution is severe
Moa_Nunu replied to bye-bye's topic in Netizen Nation
I do agree that this comeback was a bit disappointing not only in that the song sounds like a slightly different take on the Lion formula but that the line distribution was also a bit unbalanced. That said the blame on Soyeon is a bit much. We have no idea how lines were written or how those parts were assigned. Maybe the company made an executive decision or maybe they all decided amongst themselves on which parts fit them the best we just don’t know. That said, I would really like to see Yuqi and Miyeon get larger parts. Yuqi has such a great soulful voice that you just don’t hear often in kpop. Miyeon is a powerful vocalist with such great clarity and technique. Would love to see them do another song like Maze where they take the main vocals. Overall though they’re a really good vocal group. The only weak link (from the purely technical perspective) is Shuhua who while improving is still a good bit behind the other members in just about every aspect from singing to dancing to facial expressions and overall performance. That might be the reason she receives the least lines and spend the least time in the center position. -
Honestly if I were managing them I would definitely capitalize on their popularity and momentum with a comeback and mass promotions in Korea... but then again who am I lol

Is it really happening this time?

OMG... she’s good at rapping too. What the heck? Is there anything Yuqi is not good at? We all know her dancing and singing are great but so is her rapping? Dang the talent really popped out

I don’t know about you guys but I feel like they have that “It” factor that no other gg right now has. Like if you were to ask me if they have the best visuals I would say no I’ve seen better, however their visuals are all really memorable and unique which is better to me than purely pretty features. Or if you ask me if they have the best technically sound singers and I’d also tell you no, but if you listen to them it’s so easy to pick out the voices of the members because they all have very unique, mesmerizing and charming voices. Do they have the best dancers? No, but their expressions and charisma puts their performances at a level above most groups. I don’t know they just have the perfect storm that makes everything they do so incredible and engaging. Like they make you feel things and that’s rare. Crazy that they’re self produced and their self produced stuff is at a very high quality. They’ve been consistently putting out bops since their debut. And they’re always willing to try something new. Every time they come back they do something different while at the same time keeping their own sound and identity. That’s hard to do when so many groups struggle to find their sound. Now I just wonder where the heck all the Neverlands are... this thread is so dead!

So screentime and evil/angel editing we all been knew. That’s definitely audience manipulation, but what makes it scummy is that such manipulation was predicated by bribery and money was involved to put certain trainees in the spotlight. So all of that sounds pretty scummy but it’s not criminal. What’s criminal is that they defrauded hard earned money from the audience by selling them a product (a public produced group) that was completely not what they presented it to be. That is fraud.

I am so angry right now... more angry than I am sad... your words and actions have consequences. I still see people vilifying and spreading hate often under the guise of some imagined moral high ground. This has got to stop. Idols are human beings and just because they are public figures doesn’t mean it’s open season. I’m so tired of this... may Hara Rest In Peace. She will be remembered and missed.

Victoria Song heads to Korea to attend Sulli's funeral
Moa_Nunu replied to Andrew L's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
I’m absolutely crushed... cannot imagine what Vic must be going through right now. Hope she’s holding up. The people criticizing her for not publicising her grief really need to reflect. What is wrong with them? -
[NB] Choiza's SNS being terrorized with blame
Moa_Nunu replied to Ash-Pikachu's topic in Netizen Nation
I don’t know about you guys but I was around when Choiza and Sulli was a thing. What struck me the most about their relationship was Choiza’s complete lack of regard for Sulli’s personal and professional life. The guy is trash as far as I’m concerned. While I do not agree with people blaming him for Sulli’s death I also don’t think he should get a free pass. -

SM really needs to roll out the red carpet for the girls. They deserve it after everything they’ve been through pre-debut.

What really makes me sad as I’m watching Pristin/Pledis Girlz vids now is that we’ll never see them on stage together again... ever... damn... -

Before OH dies again I want to get some other thoughts off my chest... 1. The question isn’t why they disbanded. We all know why and it’s good that they’re free. The real question is why the fuck Pledis put them on hiatus in just 1 year when they just won rookies of the year. Why? 2. The girls deserve justice and fans deserve answers. We just want to know why so we can have some closure. If there were internal conflicts between members then so be it. If so was Pledis so incompetent that they couldn’t resolve this? No matter how you slice it Pledis is a bad company. We want some answers. We want a plausible explanation. 3. I don’t know how many of you followed Nu’est but even with that group’s mistreatment and mismanagement they still had regular comebacks. Their popularity has literally been rock bottom for years but they were still putting out comebacks like Love Paint and Queen right up to them joining pd101. They were given multiple chances... multiple even if their sales were poor. Pristin was literally way more popular even after We Like... but why were they not given another chance? Moreover they’re rookies... you’re supposed to push them even harder but Pledis literally just gave up and stopped allowing the girls to even promote themselves on social media or vlive. Do they literally have a bias against their girl groups? What the fuck? -

I’m also pissed at people saying Pledis stopped giving Pristin comebacks because they were flops... BITCH WHERE? Seriously they sold a ton of albums, had tons of streams and won multiple rookies of the year awards. So wtf? There are groups who are still promoting today who would have loved to have had Pristin’s sales and popularity... where is that “they flopped†narrative coming from? So what, you’re saying that if they’re not at Twice’s popularity right out of the gate then it’s understandable that Pledis dropped them like a sack of dirt? What? Yo I’m so pissed. Sorry for ranting but I’m really emotional right now. Fuck Pledis. Nayoung and Kyul literally got 2 rookies of the year and went through 2 back to back disbandments after being in popular groups... I really hope Kyul, Yewon and Sungyeon leave as soon as they’re able. Kyul can find some Chinese company or another idol agency... screw Pledis. Yewon and Sungyeon won’t be getting dirt in this shitty company. Worst fucking company...
