  1. I saw some rude comments on twitter about mirotic and them using sky instead of skin. I forget how young alot of these fans are nowadays and probably weren't around for TVXQ n their heyday - they literally did the same thing on certain shows to censor themselves.

  2. I like BTS - but I couldn't even freaking see the performance - it cut to them every 2 seconds

Like I'm kind of over this whole awards - they're literally cutting away from all performers to show BTS reactions in the audience - it's high key disrespectful

  3. Can we all agree it's better than Dream Girls?

This, I can agree with you on.

Doesn't have mainstream appeal? This is what Jpop sounds like, buddy. I can list a TON of songs from different Jpop artists that sound like this and sold extremely well there (Most notable is Aki-P's Nogizaka46, who have a lot of songs that sound like this and they sell a toooonnn)

When you say mainstream, do you mean "western"? Because Japan has clearly never cared about that.

This isn't just my opinion - looking on twitter, youtube, 5ch, etc. almost no positive comments about the song. It's not just me - I understand the 48/46 groups sell millions of copies, but they also have strong fanbases. IZONE is new, and alot of their core audience are not 48/46 fans, they're Korean fans, and Japanese fans that are into K-pop (mainly young girls). I just don't think this song was the best vehicle for this group - a lot of their individual talents are not showcased.

  4. First I'm gonna say that I actually like Suki to Iwasetai after a couple of listens.  But I kinda don't understand AKS's marketing ploy.  Since the song is very "AKB-ish", it's already disappointing Japanese Kpop fans based on the twitter responses.  Heck....that might be half of IZ*One's current fanbase in Japan right now since a good number of Japanese kpop fans were drawn towards Produce48.  So is it their plan to only cater towards existing AKB wotas......the ones that they're already milking?  Or is this really the type of sound that's considered "mainstream" in Japan right now?  I wouldn't mind being educated.  What's an example of a female group's song that was a digital hit in Japan this year?  I kinda think that Aki P is really wasting an opportunity here to produce a whole new different sound for a new generation.  I also kinda think that losing the buying power of the Japanese kpop fans was a bad idea.  I actually have low expectations for their Japanese album sales now but I hope I'm proven wrong.

I don't think they're thinking about this - this is my concern as well

Also someone explain to me why Chaeyeon got no lines - they had her out here looking like a back-up dancer

  5. you mean the "Suki to Iwasetai, won't you kiss" part! other than that i heard many individual member parts :derp:

the complains are mainly coming from kpop fans/wizones who were expecting a kpop type song that will showcase great vocals and high notes etc,.. typical kpop style,.

but i am actually glad that izone did it the original japanese way and if kpop fans/wizones dislike it that's up to them lol,. many many kpop groups who released japanese tracks usually just made kpop type songs but with japanese lyrics, however izone is actual kpop/jpop group and they just proved that, they don't just have the jpop mark for nothing,.

and of course i would like it since i listen to both genres ,.

Almost every member has no individual parts - their voices are mixed together - listen again. Some members have no part at all like Chaeyeon which is ridiculous. Their voices are also over processed to hell - the over use of auto tune is unnecessary. I don’t think it’s a smart move to just cater to AKB superfans, most of whom have no interest in IZONE. The song doesn’t have mainstream appeal because of how dated it sounds, and it also alienates a large part of their fanbase, young female Japanese K-Pop fans.

  6. The choreo is great but the song in my opinion is not good - everyone’s voices blend together and I literally can barely tell them apart - I don’t care if it’s standard for J-Pop. Hope I’ll be able to express an opinion in here without people ripping my head off. From the comments I’ve read Japanese and korean wizones don’t like it either.
