You guys are so cute with deciding, and I'm so happy there's so many who are interested in updating the OP. 

Telling me your votes isn't necessary, because I'd like you all to come to a mutual decision yourself and then let me know after the fact (that way everyone is happily on the same page), but here are some thoughts:

- If you really can't decide, I'm happy to add a poll to the OP if that would make you guys feel better! Let me know.

ALSO

- Since it seems there's (three?) candidates, you guys can even work together! Decide who will be the main OP and then take over the next two posts beneath the OP (the 2nd is an inactive user and the 3rd is from me, which I'm giving permission for it to be taken) and work together in splitting up work with updates and graphics and how you want things arranged. I think even that would be really cool. ^^ Then Chanyeol will have a 3 post OP with endless possibilities.

I'm writing you all to know that something personal has come up since I last posted here and I feel I definitely won't have the time to maintain the thread OP (which I know may come as no surprise). In the past I've waited it out in hopes I could find a way to work around it, but considering recent events and my promise to you that if I wasn't able to maintain it that I'd finally hand it over, I know that it's time. I realize my taking so long to come to this decision was mostly selfish, but despite not being around recently, I have such fond memories of this thread and remember the excitement of making it the day OneHallyu opened just like it was yesterday! So it was a little hard to let it go. 

There was a time where it was a struggle to keep the thread alive, when there weren't a lot of people, but overtime so many Chanyeol fans have since joined the site and began participating on the thread more, and it was so great being able to see it grow as well as seeing so many people love and support him in the way I do.

If you could, please come to a mutual decision on who you feel is best to take over the thread as OP; please choose someone who is both active and willing to handle the responsibility of creating the OP Chanyeol deserves. When you decide, send me a PM and I will message the moderators to hand over my rights. I refuse to hand it over without doing it myself and I reserve the right to deny the person who messages me if I feel it wasn't fairly decided upon. That may seem strict, but I'm trying to prevent it from being snatched up by someone getting it by chance because I'm offering it (i.e., someone immediately messaging the moderators asking for it on their own). I'd like the new OP to be someone everyone is happy and agrees with.

If you're having a hard time coming to the decision, let me know. I'll see what I can do.

I had some really cool plans for the thread and I'm sad I didn't get to play them out, but I know it's unfair to hold it off any longer.

I look forward to hearing what y'all's decision is, and I can't wait to see this thread flourish even more. xo

Hey, guys!

It's your resident neglectful OP here. I'm making a post because I've gotten a couple of messages about the Chanyeol thread OP, so I was just going to post here (since it was to my understanding the concern came from a several users, which I completely understand). 

I haven't had a computer for a few months now and have been restricted to mobile, so I've hardly been online at all. and even in the past, I've allowed both work and forum work (when I was moderating) get in the way of being a good OP for Chanyeol's thread. I agree it's way overdue for an update, and it isn't fair to him nor his fans who post here that the last one was done so long ago. I take full responsibility and blame for that.

I've battled with deciding on giving away the OP, and have even asked someone in the past to take it, and with all things considered, I understand why people here would want a new OP as well! 

I really do not want to give it away, and I do have ideas that I want to do with the OP, but I have to wait for my computer to come in. I still have two weeks left before it arrives, so I'd like to be given a (last) chance to make things right with the thread and all of you! 

I have already told this to those who messaged me, so I'd like to post it here as well: I absolutely do not mind if someone wants something added to the OP and request that it is edited in. Please, I do not want anything removed, but I'm okay with things being added! You have my full permission. I'm also open to what people want to see on there - special pictures? a poll? highlighting a certain thing? 

I know Chanyeol has done so many great things and the OP is far behind in properly updating that for him. Once my computer comes in, if I fail to properly update the thread again, I promise I will let it go and stop holding on so tight.

I'm glad Chanyeol has so many great fans as yourselves; I know how much time you guys have given to him, sharing information with each other, and keeping this thread updated despite my absence. 

YAY I love it! I think this is a great project and many will love hearing the updates -- how convenient to have hot topics wrapped up for the week in a nice ~5 minute video? But like all projects, it's only great if it's kept up with so I definitely encourage you to keep doing it and please don't let it die   I don't have the attention span or time to keep up with most Hallyu news lately, so I'm one of many who will enjoy the weekly catch up. 

Great work on gathering information, providing pictures, creating the video, and doing a great voice over with all the relevant, need to know info. Everyone who worked on this ~~   !

yea 1st time hehe. v excited woo!  i think vancouver is a bit bigger than chicago n dallas but def smaller than nyc n la!  it's medium sized 

i wish they did bigger venues for every stop, so each one could get the extended stage. i have no doubt each one would still sell through super well if they did.

this sometimes happen when you get a notification that has a special character in the thread title, or username.

 

Try right click on the notification icon and open it in a new tab

 

from there you will be able to see them, then delete all of your notifications.

 

It should work again right after that

What do mods do specifically, besides anwer queries and such?

Answer questions and guide users, enforce the rules & guidelines through warnings, ensure a cohesive community, maintain the forum, actively search for ways to improve the forum experience, act as an open hand for any user who needs it, be it forum related or otherwise.

And tons more things, of course. =)
