At least she won't have to worry about the company dressing her to show off asscheeks anymore. Looks like they doing that to Hyebin more now

just read the news about her funeral, only her brother was there to take care, none of her parents and grandmother appeared...
Not really a shock. She has never really seemed to be really close to her parents and it seems like growing up she wasn't really raised by her parents and passed around a lot.

Technically it wasn't the anniversary of Daisy or Taeha because when Momoland debuted they were not a part of Momoland.
Although I'm not sure that any company acts that way. Whenever Girl's Day celebrates their anniversary they don't exclude Hyeri & Yura and then show 3 members who are not in the group anymore.
When WJSN does their anniversary they include Yeonjung even though she wasn't part of the group when they first debuted.

It was gone for so long that people found other outlets or decided they didn't need it anymore. It came back and people realize how dead it is and some of the people who returned aren't bothering with it anymore now either.

I saw this on CNN and hoped it had been a false or mistranslation. Netizens really need to be charged here.
This is a situation where someone HAD ALREADY attempted suicide once... Had one of their closest friends commit suicide and still people would send hate comments.
I don't think hate comments were the primary cause because she had so many other things impact her like the shitty ex who threatened to leak a sex tape and was violent... Then an attempted suicide... A comeback in Japan (probably because of how shitty many k netz were) and then Sulli's suicide.
but malicious comments are certainly a contributing factor.
this one really hits hard. For any long time kpop fans Hara was on so many varieties. She was a regular on Invincible Youth so you saw so much of her outside of just song performances.

I feel like Miichan might damn well stay in AKB48 from start to END. Things looking dreary for AKB48 future with tv and radio shows ending and now this.

same. i just came back as well... i just found out about moeka's graduation
Saw on reddit that Moeka posted a pic on her twitter with Juri, but it was deleted by Moeka. Appear to be Moeka in Korea visiting leading to wondering if she might be following in Juri's footsteps and then deleted it or if Juri's company told Juri not to be in SNS pics and it was deleted by Moeka? I think its prob more likely Woolim asked it to be deleted because Moeka still is appearing on some Japanese shows so leaving to go to Korea seems not worth it

How is that not prostitution?

Hope she gets help so she doesn't end up like Minako Komukai and going into seedier adult videos/jobs because drug use stopped any mainstream modeling/acting from hiring.

Was their stylist drunk or something? Why do that to Seolhyun?

For this reason I feel they need to reveal the manipulated votes/members. Otherwise you will have more feel upset because they can only speculate if it happened to them.
They need to do more than that though. Show the bribes and companies involved so you can see the correlation between screentime and bribery. The way the show was edited was likely influenced by bribes and the screentime/edits influenced fan voting as well.

She looks 30 instead of 15. If you hadn't said who it was I would have guessed Elizab eth Olsen.

It is good that many now realize "YG Family" was bullshit and just a marketing strategy. Yang Hyun Suk has long viewed his artists as disposable going back 20 years.

So, she's the longest-running idol in 48 franchise? I remember her being in the industry since she was underaged in SKE48.
She is #2. She joined during 3rd gen(1 year after AKB48 started). The longest tenured member is Minegishi Minami who was an original debut member so she has been in the group 1 year longer than Yuki. Altho Yuki is a year older so will hit 30 first.

Woah so the vote manipulation actually starts from Season 1? I mean I was questioning a bit the results in Broduce final but I thought it was only due to me being biased with JR and Baekho. Furthermore, the explanations for why the two were not (re-)debuting kinda make sense at that time. Like JR was because he was the second pick for most and everyone just thought that he for sure will get in and be the leader so fans were prioritizing on voting for Minhyun who was shown to be in danger. While for Baekho we just thought that there were not enough votes and the final concept song that he was put on was cute and thus was not really suitable with the image he built through Broduce (sexy bandit) which was closer to the other final concept song (tbh to this day I kinda want to see Baekho performing the other song Hands on Me but that is another thing).
Anyway this is turning out to be more complex than I originally thought. I can only wish for the best results for everyone involved especially for the parties that have not got their justice.
The PD in charge for S3 & S4 wasn't in charge for S1 & S2 so it probably took longer for Police to find evidence (or have staff admit to the cheating). A lot of the investigation for S3 & S4 came because of just using that PD's cell phone history/text messages. So the S1 & S2 manipulation probably was discovered after more digging.

Stay away from those Buffalo Bills fans

I think people really underestimate the impact the PD had if they think all this amounts to is on the final vote he swapped three people.
these shows were TAINTED from the start. Extra screentime and positive edits were given to trainees from companies that bribed him. CJ E&M also since they were producing the group that would form likely had input as well. Would it be a shock to find out Miyu was not considered "marketable" so despite having top 5 fan interest she got less and less screentime and an attempt to show her poorly to manipulate voting.
would it be a shock to find out Miu had her time reduced because they worried about the old video of her visiting a museum for Japan's prime minister during their occupation of Korea.
the PD's impact on the final groups is so much bigger than vote swapping in the final vote IMO

Watch out Chanmi. The last time one of your members lived in a house with Park Myung Soo she got whacked on the head.

I'm torn. If they disband and keep quiet about who rigged and which trainee got robbed, it will be unfair to the other members who got into the group fairly, but if they reveal it, I feel bad for the idols because is their companies who did the rigging and not them.
We don't know that all of the trainees were unaware of cheating. Previous trainees have now come out and said some already new the lyric and choreography of songs before they were shown to everyone. Could be sour grapes, could be true. Probably one of the things those members/trainees are asked by police.
Its like the celebrity college admission scandal in the US. Some people said their "kids" didn't know anything, but obviously some did. When you can barely play soccer and are on a college soccer team or never rowed in your life and are on the row team. You know shady shit went down.

maybe add those who got robbed to the lineup and everyone will be happy
There's no easy fix. The show was tainted from the start just by the screentime and positive edits to trainees from companies that bribed the PD.
there was never any fair chance.
