Are these in Japanese with subtitles? I can't see how you could have an uncut english-dubbed version when the dubbed version was already edited. Did they even do an english-dub of Sailor Stars?

I just hope Eunji's drama doesn't lead to another A Pink hiatus. It's like whenever Eunji is in a drama most of the rest of them disappear until the next comeback. I get that she's main vocal so it's not like you'll go out and promote without her, but surely they could find some ways to get the other members out there more. (BRING BACK A PINK NEWS at least)

I wanted to see that Lee Kwang Soo/Nicole story in Secret Love.
-
A Pink has risen in recognition since their appearance so it would be nice to see an episode with them all on. Actually would be cool if it was an "A-cube" type thing and each of A Pink was a team with a RM member and then Ji Hyo was teamed with Huh Gak :D

It's Korea and they're the same-age so they're equals and friends and close. They were born like 5 days apart. It's always seemed like Eunji, Bomi, and Chorong are really close and do a lot of stuff together. Then Yookyung/Namjoo/Hayoung were the other side and Na Eun mainly stayed to herself, but seemed to interact more with the younger trio. Once Eunji started acting it seems like she's closer to Na Eun and with YooKyung being gone the younger two (Namjoo/Hayoung) have more interaction with the other members as well.

KARA Project reality show thread - Congrats Youngji!
timpa replied to Sun☼Shine's topic in Variety Shows
So So Min is the 5th trainee and the 3rd puretty member (Shi Yoon, Chae Kyung, and her) that leaves two more trainees and two Puretty members not listed yet. I saw in another thread that Hye In has left DSP for an acting agency (probably for the best since DSP has been going downhilll) so that leaves Jae Eun out of the remaining Puretty members. Age-wise I don't really see her as a fit for Kara at all, she just turned 16. I wonder if this is all this isn't as much for Kara as it is getting attention for the other girls and relaunching Puretty. -
I'm thinking that awards list is going to get longer with her winning things for A Girl At My Door. Some of the articles say feedback is really good on it. There's a reason why she gets cast to be in 'serious' movies and that's because she's probably the best actress out of all the young actresses currently active.

KARA Project reality show thread - Congrats Youngji!
timpa replied to Sun☼Shine's topic in Variety Shows
Kara's the only successful thing DSP has had since SS501. AST'1(boy group) disbanded after a year, Rainbow is still trudging along, but hasn't really achieved any real success. Ajax hasn't gotten much attention. Puretty is probably disbanded since some of the members are apparently in this show (Shi Yoon #2 revealed) DSP is trying to hang onto the one thing they got which actually made them some money and grasping for straws. -
I'm sure it may win some (like Lee Jong Suk winning a male acting award), but You Who Came From The Stars is going to dominate at the 2014 SBS drama awards. There hasn't been any other weeknight drama yet on Mon/Tue or Wed/Thu that has come close to the ratings it got and nothing near the buzz/attention it generated. Both Doctor Stranger(Mon/Tue) and You're Surrounded(Wed/Thu) are off to good starts ratings wise and may have a shot to get to the upper teens or approach 20%... but YWCFTS was at 20% for the third week.

I'm getting Coffee House vibes from a "Who's really the female lead/main love interest?" thing. I thought Jin Se Yeon was going to be it, but then given how much screen time she's had in the 'present day' storyline it seems like Kang Sora is actually the lead. Plus the female lead usually has multiple guys after her and that's the case with Soo Hyun and she's got the Father at the hospital who's an important character and the scheming older half-brother. So it may be a case of Hoon and Jae Hee do end up as a couple, but Kang Sora is the female lead. One thing that's bugging me while watching this. Does anyone else think that Soo Hyun's heels are too high for a doctor to be wearing? I mean seriously. I know Korean women love their heels, but we're talking about a doctor running around the halls of a hospital. Maybe the reason she wants to retire as a doctor and just be in the administration side is because her feet are killing her (usually it is the female characters on the business side/ownership side in a hospital drama who are wearing the larger heels)

Seems like all Key/Arisa are doing is photoshoots lol... then again she is a gorgeous model with great proportions. Her head is tiny and her legs are so long. I think she may be top-5 prettiest females I've ever seen on We Got Married.

Honestly most entertainment industries around the world are shady as fuck, but Hong Kong was hand-in-hand (to a large extent still is) with the Triad especially since someone like Albert Yeung is still in charge of one of the biggest entertainment companies. It was long rumored the reason why Carina Lau was kidnapped, stripped, and videotaped by the Triad (and possibly raped) was because she wouldn't do a movie that he wanted her to do. He got a lot of investment from the Triad and had her 'put in her place' and she ended up having to do a movie for them without getting paid after the kidnapping.

I really don't get the K-netz calling Jin Se Yoon ugly. I think she's really pretty and I like that her face doesn't look overly-worked and similar to 80% of Korean actresses.

I've always believed that 'The Wall' is not to protect the Southern Kingdoms from the whitewalkers and things in the North, but to protect the things in the North from the South and be the divider as to what their territory is. You have powerful creatures with supernatural powers who excel in things with the cold whether it be weapons, or environment. So the idea that you're keeping them at bay and caging them in by using a massive wall CONSTRUCTED out of the cold. Never really jives with me. I almost expect at one point the White Walkers to begin to descend south and just simply walk or climb the wall as easily as if they're walking on the ground... If not just hold their hand up and pass through it or cause it to open and allow them to pass. I think the forts on the other side was the southern 'counter' to the Wall. Sort of like the Berlin Wall having outposts on either side. The WW didn't really care, but the South did and constructed their forts.

I almost feel like the show is trying to make villains more black & white villainy than the book where everyone is a shade of grey with some darker grey and others lighter grey.

The fact that he's alive after being shot with an arrow is proof it wasn't her though. That Robin Hood shot to save Bang when he was being hung... BTW. I'm going to start calling Wang Yu, Wang Yulverine because he must have some kind of mutant healing factor. Dude got sliced and diced in the forest before defending Nyang and was walking around the next day (even though he was bleeding thru his clothes), now he had a sword stabbed straight thru and an arrow in the back, fell down a hill and rolled around and probably should have bled to death... but hey he'll be ok. It'll probably be Yon Feisu who ends up dying because of not tending to her wound.

He's such a huge dick not just for all the stuff he did, but in the original timeline he totally guilt-tripped Soo Hyun and drove her to suicide by saying it was all her fault when it was always his fault. I still think there's going to be a reveal that there was some kind of sexual assault or attempted sexual assault on So Jung by one or more of the college friends and it was covered up. Tattoo guy then threatened and scared Dong Chan's brother enough to take the blame. The old chairman feels guilty for everything that happened after finding out what his son did (he may have left a suicide note) and that's why he looked in on Dong Chan. I'm not sure what the President's connection is. The tattoo guy could be another son that was always in trouble and so they acted like he was overseas studying or just not revealed him or possibly a younger brother. I think in the original timeline the old chairman didn't actually die of a heart attack, but was probably murdered and had it made to LOOK like a heart attack. My guess is that he was saying that he was going to reveal what had really happened in the past (after the President pushed thru Dong Chan's brother to be executed) since he knew Dong Chan's brother wasn't really the murderer and after he made that threat he was killed off.

That's my favorite outfit she had since becoming a consort. It gives off a kind of Russian feel to me because of the syling, which isn't too unusual since Russia/China share borders.
-
I thought the jackal look fit her best, but out of the consort styles I guess the first two. Once she started wearing her hair completely in a bun I feel like it had her take on a more sterner look because of the hair being pulled back tightly.

Well after watching ep 10 it's still really confusing.

I think Ji Hyo stays with RM because of her friendship with the cast and crew and also out of gratitude for what the exposure on the show did for her career. After Frozen Flower her career had kind of stalled out. For a long time in Korea TV producers wouldn't put actresses as the main if they had done explicit scenes in a movie thinking that the TV viewing audience wouldn't accept that actress in the drama role. Big time actresses were the exceptions because Uhm Jung Hwa or Kim Hye Soo would draw attention. The lesser tier actresses were the ones who got sort of 'blacklisted' That's generally why if you looked at lot of Korean actresses who weren't well-known, but did nudity in movies you don't see them with lead roles in dramas or generally they get typecast into continuing to appear in movies with nude scenes. This has started to change in the past few years so you see more actresses being a given a chance in TV regardless of what they've done in movies. In some ways it's even considered 'promotion' for the drama because when you see an actress get cast for a drama (or even appear as a cameo/guest) you'll see articles come out talking about their exposure scenes in some previous movie and it gets some attention to the show because of it.
