  1. Weird. So the crazy Mom from the first episode isn't even part of the drama and now the real 'secondary chars' are revealed in episode 2. I really would have rathered this be 2 eps a week. It feels so short and each episode is closer to like 50min than 1hr as well. Does the Ethics teacher at school have the 'lock necklace' and Woohyun have the 'key necklace'? So is she his real Mom? I hope his Granny didn't kidnap him or something crazy lol. Kim Sae Ron is really adorable in this. I'm so used to seeing her play darker or depressed characters. To see her play someone so cheery and bright is a real contrast and she looks very cute in a want to pinch her cheeks cute little kid way though. I didn't realize until I looked at the cast list on d-addicts that the girl in Woohyun's new class who claimed him is from Bestie. Really only familiar with Yuji from Bestie.
  2. I think with the new laws in place stopping minors from working late it's probably better for Kim Sae Ron that this only needs to tape enough footage for 1 episode a week. The downside is that since it's listed for 20 eps that means it won't finish until like Late Nov/Early Dec. She looks really pretty and is good in this, but she looks like she should be the little sister of pretty much any other student in the school just by casting. Maybe some other chars will remark that she looks younger than her age lol. Her Angel outfit gives me a very jdrama vibe. Like some of those manga/animes that get adopted and you have a goth/lolita type dressing character. I hope to see who the other main characters are because it seemed like the Mom of Jin Young had more time than any students.
  3. So no bodies found, but they believed both of them were dead? Really? BTW, I think the President may have had the fastest recovery from serious heart surgery in the history of heart surgery. Then again they also said he was a week from dying and he was moving around fine and not collapsing and shit too. This show never decided whether it was a spy-drama or a hospital-drama and ended up crapping on both sides.
  4. I was disappointed in the level of medical knowledge shown in this week's episodes. The reason why the one doctor's sister was so freaking out about having the surgery was because she would have to be on blood-thinners the rest of her life and that would make it extremely difficult to carry a fetus to term. However. That's only if they gave her a metal heart valve. If they replaced her heart valve with a tissue it would only last at most maybe 10 years, but then she'd not need to take blood thinners and it would have no impact on her carrying a child to term. I'm no doctor, but my Dad had to have a valve replaced earlier this year and those were his two options. Obviously he doesn't have to worry about giving birth, but because of blood thinners having a potential problem since he has had bleeding ulcers he went with the tissue option even though he may need it replaced in another 10 years at best. The tissue option is recommended for women who are trying to give birth even though will either need to get it replaced later or then switch to a metal valve (once they've either had children or no longer are concerned with having another)
  5. I remember seeing her on some Chuseok/Lunar New Year special challenge thing like shortly after she debuted and she was pretty talented, just never went anywhere with her singing career... but she's doing really well as an actress and now she's the main female lead in her latest (She was lead in Killer Girl K, but it was a short series like 4 episodes I think)
  6. Yea Episode 14 pretty much answers a lot of the questions and puzzlement with the plot on the show
  7. It's actually 19th century and not 17th. I thought "Wow, those guns look way too advanced for the 1600s since they appear to rifles that use bullets loaded into a chamber and not pouring gunpowder down the barrel and dropping in a ball to fire. Seems like looking at Asianwiki this takes place during King Gojong's reign which is the later part of the 19th century and beginning of 20th century and also the last real "King of Korea" (he actually adopted the Emperor title), but Japan more or less took control of Korea during his reign and his son was put on the thrown as a puppet ruler for a couple of years before Japan completely annexed and took over Korea.
  8. I think Jae Hee responsed to the criticism of "why didn't she do anything in the headlock?" question. It was because she WANTED to look like she was helpless to get Hoon to do what they wanted him to do. She easily could have gotten out of it as shown by taking down the NK agent when he had a gun on her.
  9. Yooji sings very well and dances very well, but when I look at her face she just looks like she's 12 years old. I just can't see her next to the three Kara members. It also seems like a waste that they're going to spend all this time as a 'team' and then at the end take away two members for Kara.
  10. I like Oh Soo Hyun with Hoon more than Jae Hee, but seems like 11/12 tried to hint at OSH and then suddenly pull it back. The only way I think they could end up together is if it was revealed Jae Hee was actually Hoon's "watcher" and assigned to him from when she was a kid. She's actually a legit NK soldier and her mission was to be his girlfriend and keep an eye on him. Of course even if that was true she still tried to escape with him.
  11. Honestly out of all the major battle scenes in the books this was the one which in the TV show disappointed me the least. Battle of the Blackwater on TV was such a huge let-down from what happens in the books. Some of the other skirmishes like when Tyrion recruits the mountain men and they have their fight when he joins his Father's army or some of Robb's battles in the show were just garbage. I understand because of budget, but it's still a let-down considering to having read it in the book. This was longer and more action than I expected it to be so I enjoyed it a lot. Some of the changes from the book became more apparent with the deaths. Pyp seemed like something that wasn't needed. He didn't die in the books and didn't really serve a huge purpose, but I guess it was more impact. Grenn and Pyp both are alive in the books still. I think Grenn died because he ended up taking the role of Donal Noye who never appeared in the show. Noye was a blacksmith who lost an arm in the war serving under Robert Baratheon and then joined the Night's Watch. He basically led the defense about Castle Black after Mormount died. Thorne wasn't even at Castle Black until after the Wildlings attacked. So in some ways the show probably made Thorne more likeable just from how he acted in the defense of the castle this episode. Noye in the books was the one ordering the oil to be placed certain areas and when he sees the giant trying to break through the gate he gives command of the Wall to Jon Snow and takes men with him to stop it in the tunnel. After the battle is over he's found with dead with his back broken, but having driven his sword into the throat of the giant. So with no Noye, Grenn takes his place and dies.
  12. I think Somin makes the most sense in a new girl group as the visual just because her resemblance to Hara I don't think is a GOOD thing if she's joining a group *WITH* Hara in it. I think Yooji and Jaewon are just too young. So my picks would be Youngji + Sojin to Kara. Somin/Shiyoon/Chaekyung/Jaewon/Yooji Puretty 2.0 (new name and debut in Korea with an innocent A-pink type concept at the beginning of 2015.
  13. The answer to both is because they're not real ;) The skirts thing. They're animated characters so what you see is what is drawn/computer generated so they'd have to specifically show that. When they did the live-action version you did see some things, but they wore like a swimsuit/leotard thing as part of the costume so it's not like you were getting panty shorts.
  14. That was from the God of Eating show on KBS(just uploaded the subbed version to their youtube channel today). Basically one of the other guests is a 70 year old Korean celeb who is known for being a work-out freak and he was showing off his muscles and how he could flex and make his chest muscles bounce. So Eunji was watching and then looked down at herself...
  15. Ji Suk Jin! Ji Suk Jin! haha. That was an epic show-down. BTW, when Ji Suk Jin picked out that girl for the cheer squad I was wondering why there was a 13 year old boy at a college. Things were running through my head like "Is he supposed to be there? Is he a super-genius taking some classes?" and then it turned out that it was a girl... oops :D
  16. Maybe the PD just finds her hot and had her there for eye candy? LOL. What was up with the changing scene in the locker area? I thought it was actually going to serve a purpose and like show a scar from where she was shot or something, but all it did was show her undressing :D
  17. I don't really get what the Prime Minister is planning with the help of North Korean spies. If it was the *PRESIDENT* who needed a heart surgery I'd totally understand the plan. They were going to go 'Hostages' style and have it where they wanted to kill the president while having heart surgery so then he could take over as President. but it's not the President who needs heart surgery, it's HIM who needs heart surgery.
  18. When they debuted I think Na Eun was slightly taller, but Ha Young has grown and is the tallest. The official heights are fudged a bit since I think some of the other members said before they were like 1cm shorter than what was listed (although it seems like almost every kpop group does this lol) I remember when Rainbow was on Weekly Idol and they kept adjusting heights hah.
  19. Golden Bell Challenge is a different show. ë„ì „, ê³¨ë“ ë²¨ is it currently litterally Challenge(dojun) Golden Bell(pronounced in eng) There was a celebrity version of it years ago (almost 4 years now canceled) hosted by Ji Suk Jin. There would be a dozen or more celebs come on and sit and participate in questions and quizzes. The regular version is for HS students where they compete to win scholarship money and they usually have a celebrity guest either show up to cheer them on and ask questions or appear via video message to them. Although that 1000 song challenge appearance was really good. I watch the show every week and didn't realize they were cast on it. Tiny-G was on the episode as well and did good getting to the final part. The funniest part is when Hayoung walks next to them and shes well over a head taller than anyone in Tiny-G lol.
  20. I think the only episode they have filmed already is the upcoming idol athletic episode and Bora is the female rep. So they upgraded the athleticism of the female since in 2012 it was Eunjung and last year it was Sulli. Bora blows them both away athletically. I think RM filmed an episode yesterday, but it hasn't been confirmed what it was about... There were reports of different members being at various Korean universities so it might be a follow-up to the Han River college challenge episode. Although I would think the PD is smart enough to have people doing a river-crossing with potentially capsizing makeshift rafts a month after the Sewol Ferry tragedy.
  21. Is the Human Condition still on the non eating meat or flour/sugar with the female group? I'd rather see the original Human Condition male group react to A Pink tho lol.
  22. I read that a lot, but I don't really see it (obviously some things could happen with Sansa in the upcoming books, but pretty much all the 'sexualized' scenes involving her being stripped or nearly raped have already passed. In fact for next season the scenes involving Sansa might start being things which haven't been released in the books yet because the entire Eyrie storyline is almost done. There's only a very small bit which happens after Lysa is pushed through the door. The other main reason why I don't see Sophie Turner doing anything on the show is because a lot of the crew have been there from the start. I don't really think it would be that comfortable to be like "Yea, so when we started she was 14...but hey let's have get nekkid now that she's legal"
  23. That's cool, but it almost reads like a "Hey, if we're not married by 35...how bout we marry each other?" type of thing in my mind lol
