i don't think they have a problem with the ship tbh, considering shippers were arguably even more public during produce/early debut and they were fine then. the ship is pretty sexualised but tbh kfans have hidden everything compared to other ships. they don't use the ship name at all and use alternative ways to spell it so they wouldn't find it unless they are searching for it specifically. half of what you see on twitter isn't even a fraction of what's out there tbh. you do see ifans posting about them though. other of their ships are also fairly sexualised as is the nature of shipping but that hasn't changed any of their interactions with those members, for instance onghwang and nielwink. they've indicated they know about these other ships before, and in fact, ong in particular can get super fanservicey with minhyun so i don't think its necessarily discomfort with sexualised ships per se. i think its mostly the hate that they get? on korean sites, twitter and stuff, everytime they are mentioned together, some fans will hate on one or the other or just the ship, even if there is nothing vaguely shippy. we don't really see it among ifans as much but if u go on certain sites its sometimes quite sad. it doesn't help that the nature of the fandom is very individualistic in general, and these two are arguably the most popular of the members and also have gotten plenty of exposure together. If they are close on cam, i've seen things like "these two are faking it", "it's only business" or "they're free-riding" etc. things like ong doesn't have any individual popularity and is using daniel, or daniel is being fake, or ong is just putting up with daniel. it's sad tbh, and i think at some point they just didn't want e/o to get hate and stopped.

i know they've been discussed here but just by gut feel and pure gaydar my unsolicited opinion on wanna one: 1. Daniel - bi probably. he's dated a girl before but he also has very strange reactions to men. also idk some of his actions just ping me, in terms of the way he moves. he seems really open minded and comfortable with himself in general too so i feel like its possible? ship aside, he has lots of weird stuff he does with ong that makes me go ??? 2. Jihoon - straight lots of people seem to think he's somewhere on the spectrum but the kid seems like a straight, no homo kinda guy to me. offcam he's quiet and kind of gruff based on accounts. whenever he does anything homoerotic with the other members he makes it kinda really just out there. to me he's just a shy kid that gets embarrassed easily. 3. Daehwi - gay/bi/pan most people seem to agree that he's gay here but sometimes he seems too comfortable on cam with it that idk if its just an image, or he doesn't care or he's just comfortable with it, period. like on KB heechul was like "i have rumors with men", and Daehwi was like "well, i have them too." i feel he could be gay but he could also just a really comfortable kid who is more open to love coming from any gender. 4. Jaehwan - straight idk he just doesn't really ping me in general haha. 5. Ong - gay ong is a pretty closed book in general. but reasons for this are mainly that he said on HT3 that he's dated, but all the accounts from his friends previously (which has all the other info in it also correct) mentioned they've never ever seen him have a girlfriend. he acts in a pretty flamboyant way sometimes and some of his actions are pretty effeminate to me. also the people he seems to click with outside of wanna one (and he's not someone who makes friends easily in general) are people who have gay rumors of sorts so idk. also the + that he's the gay community's pick so maybe they're on to something? he sort of reminds me of neil patrick harris in a way. he could just be a really soft guy tho. (+ see ^^ daniel's for the weird shit.) 6. Woojin - straight off cam he seems to get along well with the female staff, also a bit of a noona killer there and i don't think its necessarily just part of his charm. any homoerotic stuff he does seems pretty much only for the fanservice. 7. Guanlin - straight (?)/gay tbh i feel like he's still a kid in general and he seems to have the kind of platonic puppy crushes on his hyungs so i dont think so for now, although it might change in the future. 8. Jisung - straight some people seem to think he's gay but to me he seems really like a byproduct of his upbringing i.e. very close with mom and sis and female members of the family. he's pretty nurturing in that motherly way but it seems to be more of his personality rather than a thing about his sexuality. he mentioned wanting to go into teaching if the idol route hadn't worked out and generally seems to like helping people. 9. Minhyun - straight he's very clingy with people in general, and he's kind of a human barnacle, i see most of the gay evidence as rather fanservicey stuff so i'm leaning strongly towards straight, with a side of mom nagging. 10. Jinyoung - straight/bi seems to like the straight guys stereotype, huge fanboy crush on pinky, but like is that a stereotype he's buying into or something he genuinely fancies. he likes to look cool and he's also been both comfortable and not comfortable with the whole shipping thing so i'm not sure. 11. sungwoon - straight another one that doesn't really ping me in general.

if you see stuff on twitter floating around, please, don't believe it if 1. there are no credible receipts, 2. the source is not 100% trustworthy or 3. if the source is an ifan. it's easy for people to pretend or falsify stuff so please be careful. saying things like they are dating etc. its really not possible that anyone could know that other than the people involved themselves.

that particular rumor was taken out of context. the original is this: that ongniel sometimes acts in a manner that can be seen as couply? and some fans extrapolated that they kissed. that's all. kfans were worried at the kissing part when they heard it being circulated from ifans. anyway a fic writer on wattpad was the one who started the kissing part of it, i wouldn't take it too seriously. in fact unless its kfans or cfans, i would say don't take the rumor seriously unless there are receipts.

fansite photos are usually airbrushed to some extent. he looked really tired in the raws as well, so I hope he gets some rest and isn't unwell or anything

I did the editing on the page the last time anyway the content gets merged back into the wanna one article, so I believe whatever is on the page now is the truncated version from the site itself. I'd advise trying to put in all his individual schedules as part of Wanna one as well, such as on HT, SNL and stuff like that. Oh I would suggest holding off on the wiki page for now until Ong has some more individual activities. Some of us tried it a short while back and the wiki mods merged it back into the main page. Apparently its an issue of notability? But yeah u can always ask around there as some ppl there know, otherwise if you can understand hangul, naver is a good place to start.

It's a lot faster moving there haha we talk a lot too and the chat just goes on and on for days if its peak season there's also live streaming for some shows, and trivia games and voice chat!

Ong is gaining popularity. I lurk on DC gall a lot among other korean sites, and Ong really does get mentioned a lot. A lot of people like his looks and his silly/cute image. He really is such a dork. I'm seeing a lot more Ong fans too, and even if he's not people's 1st bias, he's usually pretty up there and has very few haters compared to the rest. For the new IG selfies, Ong had the most number of likes, outstripping even Daniel and Minhyun. I'd say he's 3rd of 4th in terms of popularity in Korea at this point from the way it looks like: Daniel is mentioned 1st usually, then Jihoon followed by Minhyun/Ong.

Honestly, I really doubt that all of them even slept at all that day. They filmed the segment at Lotte at around 1am (entered the park), and I think it would have taken about 2 hours to film, at the very least, or 3hours including travel time to dorm. They would have reached dorms at around 3.30am to 4am + filming that little end bit with them washing up and sleeping? Their schedules start at 4am each day. And when daniel was packing his stuff, jisung/ong weren't in bed either.

Nah he did actually. Pictures of him drinking with a bunch of girls came up 2 days before the finale ep, and some antis still bring it up from time to time. Thing is none of his fans actually bother, since the pictures were taken in a pretty well known bar which serves hotpot and stuff, and it was clarified that ong basically got added to an all girls dance team to help out since they were one member short and those were the girls in the photo. Also fans were like basically more fixated on the ugly knit he was wearing than anything else, and some of the comments were like, "it's not a club?", "he's an adult, i go to clubs too", "woah so many girls, i want to be popular with girls like him too," and "please, it's not the joseon era, why is a guy eating with girls even an issue". So yeah. He's very lucky in that he's got a bunch of very sensible and chill fans (maybe cos they are mainly male and older) Nonetheless he still gets randomly cursed out by antis calling him '한남' which means disgusting (but also has more derogatory connotations to it).

Guanlin in hangul looks the same as panlin (관린 vs íŒë¦°) Kfan's nickname for GL became panlin as a result. On another note all the trainees have nicknames by kfans (like name contractions) so its v entertaining. Like sungwoon is weed (cos of his ep 1 hair looks like seaweed), minhyun is Nyeon/Mi-nyeon (which essentially also means pretty boy lol). Guanlin's usually just Pan, Jihoon is wing, Jaehwan is King (king jaehwan lol, its a play on Minhyun's emperor). Ong is ong, Jisung is Jom (from his Yoon jumma nickname) and Daniel is usually just (nyel)
