Sports mangas are the weirdest to me and always have this high "japan is da bestest/japan4life" feeling to them. My friend once read a manga where the story was tennis centric (or rugby idk) and the characters all had a special power (like super speed that made them almost invisible and whatnot) and there was one black guy in that manga, and he had no power at all, but was better than all of them because he was black. recently I was re reading hana yori dango (i dont even know why) and Tsukasa went to the States and meet 2 african americans and they asked him to dance with them, in the middle of the streets. Cause when you get to the States, the first thing you do is dance with black people on the streets. Life is hard for some mangakas. OP: yeah, even Naruto has black characters that are interesting. (even if they come really late in the story)
