  1. Waaah, just when I think I've cooled down from Win they do something cute like this ^o^ You can really feel each person's personality in those letters. B.I's handwriting looks like a preschoolers. Jinny's is so tiny and cute like himself and his message is precious <3 Jinwoo = cute cute cute. That last sentence in Mino's letter, I will just think it was meant only for me ;AAA; And is it weird that I read Mino's message while rapping in my head? o_0

Those Honk Kong fans are so freaking lucky that the boys will be coming to MAMA. Now I expect nothing less than pure awesomeness from YG fam performances!!

Wait WIN is performing at the MAMAs

  2. Agreed!

The ideal group for me would be Bobby, B.I, KSY, Mino, Taehyun and someone who dances decently.

Mhmm i feel lile LSH should debut because of his dance skills. YG needs someone who can at least dance. I wish YG included a third option for the voting so fans can choose their ideal group, from the beginning of the show. Then he can have the most popular one debut later instead of having to choose a group with members you don't like.

  3. Yeah fair enough they were nervous the first 2 shows but now they should grow a pair already. JYP trainees had more reason to be nervous since they haven't done something like this before but I guess you could argue they had nothing at stake.

Make these guys step up somehow or stop calling them Big Bangs legacy.

I was the most dissapointed at Team B because they're always full on energy. Team A's shit performance is no surprise, they never do well against team B anyways.

As i've said it would be more appropriate if a second 1tym was created, because these vocalists are just not cutting it.Team C aka KSY, mino,LSH,BI and Bobby needs to happen like now. YG should give up on trying to create another BB it ain't happening with this line up.

  4. Honestly, I'd like these teams even more if they show me that they can rally from this and come back even stronger and better. I think it'll give them another level of depth once this happens. There's something about losers coming back new and improved that everyone just loves.

We need some drama up in here! Lol

I mean i don't see anyone that needs to impove other than jinwoo and Team B's entire vocal line and we all know they're not going to magically be good at singing in 7 weeks. As far as rapping YG got this on lock, same with dancing. It's just that Team B didn't show their best today. Hopefully they comeback even stronger and GD basically gives them the harshest words ever, so they can get their shit together.

Ah yeah but at least put up a bit of a fight, you get the gist

Yea true that, but what they need to do is losen up. I mean they had the faces of defeat throughout. While JYP trainees were all smiling and happy.

  5. They're all trainees of more than 2 years. Even if they didn't perform well dancing wise since it's hard to choreograph something in one day, they should have owned rapping and singing.

Lmaoo no way YG would have owned singing that is out of the question, like they only have KSY, taehyun and embarrassing jinwoo. While JYP has 5 decent vocalists.

  6. You guys do realize that YG&JYP are extremely close and have a relationship where they scratch each other's back right? You guys think that YG didn't know how airing this battle would bring more attention to JYP? It's also like JYP appearing on the show to comment or him praising the WIN members. They're in it to help each other.

I get helping each other, but at the end of the day they're running a business. I mean seriously these trainees are supposed to debut in 7 weeks and they're getting owned like this ehhh not a good look. If YG prefers to be publicly embarrassed for the sake of his friend, then he must be a great friend.

  7. Maybe it is yg's plan after all to help his best friend - since his best friend have been getting lots of hate comments for not being the big 3 anymore. half kidding. lol.

I honestly don't see this as being an event that will make yg get screwed over though. In any case, it will probably make the trainees feel humbled down and begin to REALLY improve and strive to work harder. It's when they debut and sell albums/songs that counts. A good lesson to be learnt.

And yea, i understand your comment on how they need at least a few strong vocalist, typical or not. That I would agree. But what I was saying is that I wasn't exactly vowed by JYP's trainees. They're good, maybe even better, I'd give that. But I wouldn't put them on repeat (at least for this performance), unless they happen to sing a really nice song. I would have put the baby good night performance on repeat if not for Jin Woo. Traumatized by his performance really.

YG should just stop looking for vocalists and just go back to his roots of having a rap group like 1tym. I don't know how the decisions are made over at YG, but this pretty much solidifies that YG doesn't care about vocals or lacks the ability to choose good ones. How can he not see that a group with KSY as a vocalist, Mino, BI, Bobby and LSH would be ideal for their new group.

  8. LAWL JYP always had better singers than YG from the beginning like 2am however in the end its going to be the song choice and and they way they are marketed in the end thats gonna matter not only the pretty voice

True true but the way they were marketed in this episode was good. Yea YG pretty much has good rappers and people with stage presence that's it. The vocalists minus daesung are just ehhhh. Like YG had eight years to finally choose vocalists, but what does he do he chooses the most basic vocalists.

  9. nope, you're not the only one. They sound like typical balad singers/ same vibrato / tone that is pretty generic in the kpop scene, therefore I don't really care how much technique/talent they have. You can get tons of them in the kpop scene right now. They pretty much sound like the other JYP artists currently.

KSY's voice on the other hand, is one of a kind. One that I would love to hear on repeat. For me tone > how high you can go.

But i mean atleast they have good voices typical or not they're good. YG vocalists are mediocre to say the least, with the exception of ksy. I mean how can you have 5 vocalists and none expect KSY have an outstanding or even decent vocals.

YG screwed himself over with this battle big time, because he just helped build up JYP's image. People thought they were slipping but now this talent is something to watch out for.

  10. Don't really care about the vocal part it couldn't be helped Jinwoo sucks at singing I said this from day one.

Yo did all of team a/b 's past dancing videos just disappear into a black hole or something I feel like everyone is forgetting that they're really good dancers.

Nahh you should watch it, he sang like two damn lines very badly and forgot the rest of the lyrics. Like i felt extreme second hand embarrassment

Well they decided to just hold back when they needed it the most. It don't matter how good they are it's the fact that they failed to deliver when they needed to. I get the nerves, but you're on a publicly televised program and everything is on the line. They should have done last weeks routine and YG should not be so dumb and tell them the day before.

  11. Well aren't y'all a ray of sunshine. Fucking magical.

Okay I didn't watch the episode yet but now I'm excited. Everyone who's screaming about home court advantages need to stfu now. A performer/aspiring performer should be ready whenever wherever. So according to the comments, the dance was not as impressive as we expected it to be? Honestly does that really matter. One bad performance does not equal a team of bad dancers. They have already shown us their capabilities to carry out difficult dance steps. Everyone should be applauding them for being able to get through with only a day of practice. As a dancer I understand how nerve wrecking, tired, and upset they would be. They had a month to come up with their great choreos. This took a day and who knows how many days the jyp trainees had to perfect their moves. As for the singing, it seems like JW messed up quite a bit and shamed the YG family he deserves banishment tbh.

Jk. I don't think he'll ever improve at this rate, but I think it's a bit harsh to kill him over his mistakes.maybe I'll bite my tongue later after watching the episode though.

I'm pretty excited to see how all the boys were (BOTH jyp and YG). No one else thinks this will be a great learning experience for team A/B? I feel like this will only help them. They're all trainees, jyp/YG boys alike. Doesn't matter how great you are before you debut. What matters is how you improve after. No one dwells on Park Bom/CL/Top's past skills because of their declining abilities. CL was clearly a better rapper pre debut and PB had one of the best singing around.

ANYWHO, I'm glad YG did this episode. Free promo for JYP(who clearly needs it ATM) and it also showed the real talents (I'm assuming the rappers,KSY, LEVI did pretty well?). The rest needs nothing but practice practice practice.

All you need to know is that a rap group plus KSY aka team c is needed. The rappers were good, everything else was just shit. JYP trainees owned YG in vocals and dancing no doubt. JYP trainees look like they're ready to debut and they have no weak links. YG should be embarrassed for getting owned like that on his own show.

I get that JYP had more time, but jinwoo forgetting lyrics was a no no and it's more embarrassing that it's a YG song he forgot the lyrics to. No matter how much you look at it, JYP trainees won in vocals and dancing.

  12. Actually, I don't understand your meaning at all, considering you did say 2PM vs BB. When most of members of each group were not even around to battle it out like this show did. Sure, some of BB and 2PM members did battle (Jun. K did say he did the battle 9 years ago), but in no way BB and 2PM had a battle like this show. Like I said, BB debuted when most of 2PM members just joined JYPE, thus, it's not even possible for them to debut any earlier than that.

I am not downplaying any of the YGE trainees here, I just want to clarify my perspective about that 'bragging rights and debuting first' comment.

And have fun people! Sorry for barging in! I just want to see if the full video of the whole episode is out yet around here. Thanks and bye!

Well jyp himself did say BB vs 2pm so i don't know.

  13. Sorry to interrupt, they had that face off with 2PM 9 years ago and the only ones in 2PM 9 years ago are Jun. K and Jay Park. The rest of 5 members (Junho, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Chansung and Khun) are not even a trainee in JYPE yet. So it's a loose term of '2PM vs Big Bang'. Pretty sure Seungri was not in Big Bang 9 years ago too. Most of 2PM joined JYPE as trainees for about 2 years, thus, Big Bang has already debuted by then and doubtful that they'd have a face off with some nobodies in JYPE before 2PM debuted (around that 2 years period when most of 2PM joined JYPE as trainees).

I mean the whole point is that they won, i mean it doesn't matter who they went against but they won, which resulted in bragging rights and debuting first. In this case JYP trainees annihilated YG trainees and have every damn right to even debut tomorrow if they wanted, they're good and more than ready.

  14. tbh i still wonder why even jyp called this battle 2pm vs big bang when half of 2pm members weren't even trainees at that time. he probably meant 2am boys too.

to me yg won the rap battle but i have to admit - jyp's rappers are probably the best ones they've ever had.. (i'm not counting junho and jun. k because they were never given a chance to rap)

YG just needs to put this group on hold and let JYP trainees debut they're more than ready.

  15. Also, for the people saying that Team A lacks stage presence... Today's episode made everything clear. LSH and Mino came to life when they were separated from the vocalists. Just as I suspected, Jinwoo and Taehyun are like these dark rainclouds hovering over the team and bringing everyone down. Minus me if it makes you feel better but it's the truth.

No way whoever denies this is delusional, after watching all this it's clear that a Team C needs to happen. Plus i think LSH and mino were more comfortable, because they were in their own element with doing just a rap song. They even overshadowed bobby and BI.

  16. Yeah with YG it seems more on the groups/members own iniatitive to get better after debut

Yea and i doubt after tasting fame they will care. People like TOP,BOM and sometimes CL are a case of WTF is going on these days. It's like TOP and CL lost their rapping umphh they had during their debut days. It's like they don't care about improving their skills at all.
