I have hopes for Miu. With little screentime, she was noticed even by Japanese fans for her charisma in the MV. She’s only 17, if she continues grabbing people’s attention during this promotion, anything can happen. People forget that Yuiyui wasn’t one of T8’s aces until she got her Hashimoto Kanna moment where she received interest because of pretty pictures of her performing. Speaking of Mako, it’s probably a bit too soon to call Moeka a center candidate. AKB48 hasn’t center-dropped since Jurina. They test the water by first including the girls in senbatsu, then ease them into center. So until Moeka is part of senbatsu, she can very much end up as Mako 3.0 Although I do like Moeka in particular, she’s beautiful and has an endearing personality so I hope she maintains her hype. Makes sense! At least they have more experience in senbatsu than Moeka, but I would personally make a clear distinction between actual centers like Yuiyui, Naachan and Miion, and potentials like Moeka, Satone and Zukkii.

It’s important to note that Sasshi’s under in the MV is Miru Miru’s original spot was at the 2nd row edge right before Ogiyuka, who was consequently nudged to Miru’s place while her place was left empty. Thus Miru’s scene in the MV with Yukirin was supposed to be Sasshi and Yukirin I’m thinking Jurina could sub Sakura because this song really fits Juju, but if she’s not back yet I can see Naachan centering it. The strong front line contenders are Miion and Juri. They got a lot of scenes in the start, and their 2-shot together at the beginning was the first to be shown, even before the actual front liners. So the first line could be: Jurina, Naachan, Yuiyui, Juri, Miion, Yuihan, Sasshi (and Miru if no Juju). EDIT: On second thought, the current lineup is 7-7-9. They don’t need to replace Nako and Hitomi, all they have to do is put Jurina in the center and make the new lineup 5-7-9.

He made a big deal recently about Sakura being the first non-kenin sister group members to solo center an AKB single. When people reminded him of Oogoe Diamond, he insisted that it’s an Acchan center.

Team 8 got a couple of those All my favorite Team 8 songs have Ikumin as center, including Seifuku no Hana. I wish this continued to be T8’s concept. Wouldn’t it be nice if team concepts don’t change depending on the center, but that the center changes or adapts depending on the team concept.

I love ponzu too. I have it in both lemon and lime, but I wouldn’t mix it with any of the things she put it with. Moeka is cute, I love how smart she is about making it interesting for variety. She has a lot potential so I hope AKS doesn’t screw this up. Also couldn’t help noticing how pretty Nanami looks without bangs

I always saw Sakura as a cute girl rather than pretty, but she looks so damn gorgeous in her new style! About Miion, I agree about her giving leadership vibes. I’ve been sensing it for a while, and I only started to notice it bit by bit after she won that AKB48G exam. It really proved how serious she is and how much cares and knows about not just AKB48, but 48G as a whole. What better leader than a friendly hardworker who knows almost everyone and everything about the group?

I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with including the final produce members in senbatsu. They did the same thing with Shiichan, Lemon and Akarin after they made it on 2016’s NHK kouhaku mobile voting. It was never a choice between kami-7 and produce final contestants, they could have added one more member for a 24nin senbatsu, or eveni substituted Zukkii if they’re set on having only 23. There’s no excuse for dropping Tomu regardless of P48’s existence.

Being a 48G idol is not a sustainable career goal. The original purpose of joining AKB48 was to make it in the entertainment world by gathering enough fans/recognition to make it on their own. I think both Sakura and Hitomi are gaining from this. Hitomi for obvious reasons. Sakura because she was starting to lose interest and motivation, but now she can continue challenging herself. Beating Jurina in ssk isn’t what she wanted. Something along the lines of “What can I do to succeed that my seniors didn’t or couldn’t doâ€. She’s more likely to gain public recognition as an international act in IZ*ONE than being another popular 48G member. She’ll have much more to talk, and people will be more interested in hearing, about her experience with IZ*ONE than the same old AKB48 narrative. Meanwhile, Nako would have benefitted from Sakura’s leave in 48G. This is still a good opportunity for her of course, she’s gained so much recognition already from Produce 48 as a cute and talented singer. She can continue making music in the long run.

Nako already broke down and they haven’t even started yet. These girls can’t do both and remain sane. K-pop schedules are hectic, and require a lot of travels both domestically and internationally. I’m sure their Korean label will milk them dry this 2.5 years with singles, albums, world concerts, events, variety shows, interviews, photo shoots, classes, etc. They won’t let them rest during this time. At least Jurina will take a well deserved rest and comback in the 55th single like a gladiator right when everything seems lost with both Sakura and Sayanee gone. Personally, the best part about this single is Miu! Worst part is no Hinatan

Might be the 54th single senbatsu, but I’m hoping for a Team 8 single. I really want them to make Team 8 a subgroup or a branch group (not a sister group technically). I watched junken for MUOM last night but the amount of D3 girls was unbelievable Some Team 8 members and new AKB48 members are Nogi level of beauty so it sucks that these girls are all buried, especially Team 8 girls who’ve been around for 4 year now and we still don’t know much about them. T8’s Cho was very cute whispering the choices to D3’s Omori Maho, and T8’s Kotone is very pretty.

Original choreography by Ikumi? Shame we didn’t get to see her choreographing skills during position evaluation. If only they included her in the 1st elimination round when Jurina abruptly left.

False rightwing accusations are somewhat of a trigger topic for me. It’s how antis got rid of Miu in Produce48: claiming she’s a rightwing because she was born in the same prefecture as some Japanese Prime Minister.

Kim Choyeon, the Team A trainee with the fiery eyes, had a video interview and was asked who was she close to in Produce48. Her close Japanese trainees were Goto Moe, Takeuchi Miyu and Shitao Miu.
