Oh wow, I didn't even think this game would come out this soon.

August = Walking dead final season
September = Life is strange 2,

Edit: Forgot Captain Spirit is out in 4 days.
It's free yay. -
I am sold Cd projekt red just give me cyberpunk 2027 please. I'm dying for this game to come out.
CD Projekt has finally pulled back the curtain on Cyberpunk 2077, revealing the game to press behind closed doors at E3 this week.I saw a 50 minute live uncut gameplay demo and was blown away by the level of detail in Night City, the open world in which the game takes place. During the demo, a number of eye-catching features of the game were revealed. Here's everything I discovered during our Cyberpunk 2077 behind closed doors demo:
Cyberpunk is a first-person role-playing game. You play the game from a first-person perspective, shooting weapons in the traditional FPS style, with dialogue choices appearing on screen.
You play V, an urban mercenary who takes on dangerous jobs for money. You are a cyberpunk, CD Projekt said.
Loading video
Unlike in The Witcher 3, CD Projekt's previous game in which you play as Geralt, in Cyberpunk 2077 you create your character, or your version of V. You can choose to play as a male or female, and choose your "life path", which, alongside your gender, affects your experience within the world. You can customise everything from your haircut to your tattoos. You can also put points into various attributes, such as strength, constitution, intelligence and reflexes.
There's no character class to pick, however. Cyberpunk 2077 has a fluid class system which lets you customise your own class throughout the gameplay experience. You can become a Solo, Techie or a Netrunner - or a mix of all of them.
Our demo takes place near the beginning of the game. V alongside a friend called Jackie Welles and a netrunner called T-Bug is trying to find a missing person. It turns out Scavengers, one of the various factions in the game, are kidnapping people to harvest implants.
The first-person shooting includes a slow motion "bullet time" effect and a slide move. You can combine the two for dramatic effect.
Damage numbers pop out of enemies as you shoot them (the enemies have life bars).
You can take a reflex booster such as the Kereznikov to enhance your reactions. Drug taking is a part of the game, done via asthma pump-like devices.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a mature game intended for a mature audience, CD Projekt said, and as as a result features full frontal nudity.
Eventually, V finds her missing person: the naked body of a woman in an ice bath. She picks her up in a bid to help her.
Trauma Team is a group described as "high-end medical insurance for rich people". We see a few of its members arrive via flying car to pick up the missing person's body.
Cyberpunk isn't afraid to swear - there were a couple of c-bombs in our demo and plenty of f-words.
You have an apartment and can have one-night stands with people. (We see V wake up from one of these just as her fleeting partner walks out of her apartment.)
You have a variety of quests to choose from (these are listed on-screen).
In her apartment, V takes her pistol and her jacket. The jacket plays an important role in the game. Not only does it look cool, but it also gives you stats, including "street cred". Street cred is an experience you gain from doing open world bits and bobs, and helps you unlock content throughout the city.
V's apartment is located in a mega building, a huge building complex that forms a micro-society of its own. Cyberpunk 2077 is an alternate timeline which has seen the development of the euro-dollar as standard currency, which people call eddies.
The city has been designed to be interactive. You can interact with an advert and it will tell you where to buy the product. In our demo, V was pointed to a can of soda, which she bought from a vending machine.

but wow.
Edit: just finished witcher 3. I know it was out like ages ago but I loved playing it so much.
Now that I'm on summer holiday time to try to finish up another 14 of the games on backlog.Double edit: just finished shadow of the Colossus and my heart just shreds. Is such a beautiful yet so depressing game. :(
-
Yeah. She also says a lot of weird stuff and foreshadows a lot of Rean's struggles.

A lot of the student NPCs appear all grown up as well.

wished 3 would be translated already :( the wait is too long.
-
-
Is anyone playing the fantasy world cup? Just created my team.
-
OMG Beryl is back for Cold Steel 4! :D She's that strange Mystic Club student NPC in the first 2 Cold Steel games. One of my favorite NPC in the whole series. :3

I love her new design! She's looking so cute and creepy at the same time (perfect combination tbh). <3
I was surprised she didn't appear in CS3 at all despite being one of the student NPC who seems to have plot relevance. I don't think she's just a troll character, so I'm anticipating a big reveal about her.
inb4 Ouroboros memberOmg isn't she the girl from that mysterious club that Towa send you on a mission for and she's like telling you ghost stories? I adore her

darn it, really need to play the third game so badly
Also yay
100% free in the life is strange series. Yay.
I can't believe they showed it off on E3 I am beyond excited. CD Projekt red take my money
-
Don't even know how I'd get that. Being 50/50 in everything was the playthrough I wanted but...everyone survived on my first run. got the peaceful ending
-
Is an all right game. Far better than the ones David cage made before. Would recommend it if you like the sort of game styleI'm still on the fence about getting Detroit: BH. For all those who has played the game how would you rate it overall?
Spoilers for detroit
i converted Connor into a Deviant. Went to the peaceful protest despite my hostility to the humans. I was just chasing after North. First ending I kissed her and all android with the protest died, second talked to the guy whom tricked him into having all the deviants to be captured and the third I got was a dirty bomb. Freedom for androids. Meanwhile in kara. She and Alice didn't make the place on time and missed the bus. Alice died and Kara lives on. Second they got to the place but i sacrificed someone can't remember his name but Alice Luther and Kara all made it across the boarder. Third both Kara and Alice died
I feel better after running though the final chapter 3 times.
-
idk how anyone could beat detroit in 10 hours without getting crappy endings. took me about 15 hours for the best ending which is only like 40% of the game. Im now onto my 2nd playthrough
I can understand people not wanting to pay 60$ for 15 hours, but barely any singleplayer games these days goes above 20
also im about to get Persona 5 and im seeing that the main story takes 90-120 hours to beat. Is it actually story rich or is 80% grinding?
I'm glad I'm not the only one enjoying Detroit. I am getting shivers just playing through it, the story is just.

Persona 5 will last you a very very long time with a lot of story element

-
I'm definitely picking it up later today. It just my type of game and watching another person review whom just got rid of my worries xD plus once I'm done can always trade it in if I don't see any other reason to keep it. But we are two different gamers. I tend to just play for everything I signed up for. Even played the demo like 4 times just to get everything I wanted xDYeah but I'm not really a multiple run kind of person, I only aim for the best end in these kind of games and so far in Heavy Rain I was capable of making the best choices right from the get-go so yeah it shouldn't take me long to finish
Also yeah Until Dawn was overpriced too and I didn't buy that at full price either
I got a discount on it. There are way too many good titles coming out this year at $60 so I definitely won't give David Cage that much money atm for 15 hours of meh writing. The latest games are all over $50 but for example God of War ($60) is 30-40 hours with side-quests, FFXV Royal Edition ($65) is 70+ hours with all DLC and at least 50% of the side-quests, Nier: Automata was 35 hours by completing every side-quest, etc.I feel like Detroit is charging me $60 for eye-candy so I'll wait for discounts + E3 game announcements so that I can prepare my wallet
I don't just buy PS4 big titles so since I'm constantly buying $30-$40 Japanese VNs + the shipping price, questionable offers like this make me reconsider buying them at full price
Simliar to vn where there are many different bad ends and only one good. I did like most of them for fate stay night which took me far longer than I would if I was to play just the main storyline.
Comparing ffxiv to something like detriot is just not justified since its different genre of gaming. But that's just me. Each time you mentioned a game with "sidequests" that's like saying witcher 3 is over 150 hours with side quests but it can be done in 25 hours just doing main quests. To me alternative choices are like sidequests but just different story.
-
Yeah I'll wait for a discount offer because $60 for less than 20 hours... lmao
Kara's story looked pretty intriguing and I also liked the android guy in the hostage trailer, although I don't remember his name (Connor?)
I mean that's just for one playthrough. Far more if you were to do everything I would think. Saw another person review saying it can reach for 25 or so hours and to be honest 10 hours for a game like this is pretty reasonable and until dawn was 8 (10 if you do everything) hours selling for roughly the same price. Heavy rain similar length although much cheaper but that was during 3rd gen game era and as games get much more demanding prices of them will increase.
Plus games like these do you really need it to be long. Is pretty much a movie of your own decisions and I for one would get tired of it. If not get overwhelm by the length of a game with little to no gameplay. That's just my opinion though.
And yep Connor
Edit just added the video.
-
Kinda suprised. Easy Allies says it is the best one from the studio
12 to 15 hours. Not justified for full price. will wait but defo something I need to pick up to play.
-
it's gonna be a hot mess, I feel it. But I'll try it still. Just for Kara.
I know someone who worked on Detroit, and with a couple of workmates they'll organize a day 1 party to play it and cringe on it. I'll defo participate. It'll be fun, wew!
Really? I actually loved some work from David Cage, such as the the past releases of Heavy Rain and Beyond two souls /: plus I love the concept of being an andriod

Planning to buy Detroit and then Project Diva: Future Tone, but is Project Diva worth it? I could spend that money on Code Realize: Bouquet of Rainbows or just pre-order Spiderman already
Isn't code realize bouquet of Rainbows just an added addtion to the orginal vn? I've played code realize Guardians of Rebirth and lovdd it.

Just finished radiant historia perfect chronology, one of the best, if not the best JRPG I've ever played on a Nintendo console
minus PokemonLoved each and every moment of the game and the amount of twists and turns, characters, plot and the concept of time travelalmost perfected the game but got like 3 quests which I can't do :(. Really can't fault Atlus for giving it a new life on the 3DS. Just recently bought Shin Megami Tensei Strange journey Redux. Going to be playing that

Debating so hard to buy or not. I really like Chloe

#VNStruck4 - 4 Visual Novels that had the biggest impact on you, you can always reread, or your favorites
Apparently there's this trend on twitter for things like Games (#GameStruck4), Anime (#AnimeStruck4), Movies (#FilmStruck4), and likely others where people put 4 pictures and optional writeups of what either had the most impact or their favorites for that medium. VNs are niche so I guess posting here would be more apt.
Anyways,here goes my #VNStruck4
1. Muv Luv Alternative- Very emotional. First visual novel I ever cried to.

2. Ever17- Has some of the best plot twists in the medium.

3. Fate Stay Night- It's all about challenging ideals and morals, especially in Heaven's Feel.

4.Similar to Fate Stay Night. Rea's route is like Heaven's Feel, but more epic

What's your #VNStruck4?
Surprised Dies Irae got to the list /:
1. Muv Luv alt - just because it made me feel so much emotions all at the same time. It was just the feels which made me just.... The feels.

2. 9 person 9 hours 9 doors - first vn I ever read and totally enjoyed, gateway to all my other vns
2.

3. Little Busters - after reading Clannad and Planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~ and Harmonia I needed something different from Key and when Little Busters hit, it just gave me all those key vibes (never seen the anime) but the vn just taught me so much about friendship, trusts and love,
the vn which actually made me become more social surprisingly
4. Subahibi - the most f up visual novel I read and the one that has a top spot in my heart. Just thinking about the psychological, morals and the philosophy of it makes really appreciate the vn for more than it is.

Been trying to avoid the premier league this year seeing how crap we were and welp getting regulated, Good job Stoke for slapping us down.
See you in the Champions league....... -
Can't beleive they actually did this
Witcher 3 has my voteOh and I just finished witcher 3 both the main game and the heart of stone expansion. Got to do the blood and wine expansion.
-
Witcher 3 GOTY

-
I just finished Harmonia, a kinetic novel from the studio that also made planetarian. Harmonia for me was a wonderful novel with some beautiful scenes and really made me think about how machines and humans interact, or perhaps should interact, and how it changed humans with all their faults and emotions. Very interesting themes which is exactly why i play these types of VN's

Also ofcourse (because it's a Key game) it had a sad story although perhaps not as sad as some of the others since this game was a bit shorter and also made me more comfortable with the sadness somehow. Anyway, very nice VN, can recommand (it's only a bit short, about 5-6 hours).
I'm surprised how much hype Harmonia gets to be fair, what did you think about that ending, the vn for me was all right just the ending made me dislike it :(
i finished last window secret of cape west, i liked both games of the series, but hotel dusk had characters that you really solve their problems/story and they are connected not just to one another but also with the main story, while last window didnt have that much connection in my opinion, but overrall i liked, its really a kyle hyde game (
although he looks more young for some reason e_e)anyways, i love my son charles and my daughter mila <3

ghost trick will be my next game
but its not a visual noveland then next i will play 999Do yourself a massive favour and get the remaster one, the one that has both 999 and VLR. it improves on everything and you don't have to back track like you need to in the original for 999.

Trails in the sky 3rd finally got to the last dungeon and I'm totally wtf...... This game is so dark, the warning I got from monochrome. I underrestimated it.
From chapter 1 to chapter 6
It wasn't that dark, things were going all right i did tear up now and again for the characters that I came to love, Kloe and Josuha + Estelle past mostly due to the way it was written, just touches the feels. Kloe's one just hit the feels the most because she couldn't control it and the fact she was so young when it happened. Meanwhile Josuha past with Estelle I loved how they both grew to be in a romantic releationship and the bond between them is just lovely to see after 5+ years.
Meanwhile chapter 7 and finishing the doors was like
OMG Kevin,.... Just omg Kevin's past is so heavy, I fell for his character in the second game but his character in the third, learning what he did, killing and wanting to be punished for the sins he has done. His mother dying and wanting to strangle him so that they both could leave peacefully. Throughout the game I thought his mother was just gone but his father leaving them both to death and his mom going mental..... Plus Rufina learning that Kevin killed her and he couldn't stop it. Just made it even worse.
Than came door 15 where Renne where you find out about her past. That was like the gaming mocking how much pain you could handle. Those all hurt and butcher my thoughts and feelings. Like I couldn't feel any emotions expcet for wtf is seriously happening, just why.......
These feelings are just butchering me what a way to finish off the sky series.
Making me crave to play Zero and Ao so much
Finished trails in the sky trilogy. Best sky game is Third chapter. I just love is plot and how it was so different than the rest. Plus the ending was so sweet
Renne running away from Estelle and Joshua yet Estelle and Joshua will keep on trying to find her. Plus Scherazard and Oliver relationship is just so good xD
wondering if I should play and finish off ni no kuni now or just read Himawari as my next visual novel.
Triple edit : thanks to steam making witcher 3 affordable I just got its goty and been having a blast 6 hours in and I've only finished the beginning part
Where Geralt meets Yen and departs from the castle.
currently debating whom to romance since Yen is super classy my type of girl and from what i remember of witcher 1 Triss is just a controller both I have interests in.
-
This looks so wrong in many aspects I'll pass despite loving steins gate a lot.
-
Has anyone here played ys viii? I'm debating to get it or not as I saw it has a release date for next month on pc.
On a side note just got through Sky third chapter, chapter 2 done and things seem to be O.O
-
Yeah, it does add a lot tbh. But I meant the story structure and progression is very different from all games.
The organization (Gralsritter) Kevin is a part of is an important and consistent part of the series. I know they're rarely mentioned in CS and CS2 but their presence is still there. You'll see how in CS3. :3
And don't worry. You'll hear about or even meet those characters again in future games.

CS still have a lot of nice, happy, slice-of-life moments but Sky the 3rd just has depressing vibes and atmosphere for the majority of the game. lol

Hmmmmmm I'll just have to play it to find out myself, I want to finish the trilogy xD
When I'm done with my other games.Well sky 3 is definitely something I need to play since CS3 is a must buy for me when it does get localised

Wait so sky 3 is more depressing than sky sc? Here I was broken when I was done with sky sc.
Actually I've been trying to find a JRPG that is as heart wrenching will Sky third really do that

Mainly cause I think they wanted to hype it their own way /: who really knows at this point but pretty sure the prequel will just foreshadow a lot of what will happen in LIS2?
