Since I felt Winner are in my own backyard, whilst I was sitting idly in Brighton a few days ago, was compelled to ask around some affiliates regarding Winner in London, since it's an open secret now, I was kindly enlightened from a certain company based in Islington that they were contacted at the end of September by Winner's mv production team to advertise a casting call for a Korean Pop Music Video. 

 

 

 

Provided me some info the Production Dates were Monday 5th October/Tuesday 6th October 

 

Required Candidates casting for the music video:

 

-2 Attractive Hipster Females ages 18-35

- Female & Male Policeman 

- Male Bodyguard

- Male Driver

Stage Staff x 5

For a whole two days was umming and arring over whether I should rock up at the set of the MV, but had to subdue and restrain every fibre of my impulsiveness, plus had slightly sprained my ankle on my uberboard  I'm a clumsy git. Ok this thread is far from what it used to be and I know some of you are new so you probably missed what we've agreed on earlier regarding the winner-ikon talk. Since the talk could get heated and no side is gonna sit still, we prefer to not talk about ikon in this thread. (It has happened multiple times before).

How is it different when talking about other groups w Winner? Other groups were not in Win, other groups werent fighting for a debut spot with 2 fandoms pitting against each other. You guys all know the history so well and decide to skip it is just as unreasonable. It's not just our part, our k-fandom part is only Winner and we work very well. If you're an ikon stan also, its best to do a joint thread.

In my honest opinion, there is no OT12. Theyre 2 different groups and Ikon is now different frm Win anyway, you don't group FT island and Cnblue together into one group tho? We are not EXO. Im not here to stan Ikon and i fought to make 23102013 happened so I and many other at least want to keep the meaning of Winner name.

I'm expressing my opinion just like you are expressing yours.  And I realize that nothing I say will stop the complaining (especially for some of you who practically live for that shit).

 

But I will agree with you on one thing.  I'm not as hardcore as some of you are.  I've been there, done that and ultimately it took away from my enjoyment of the artist experience.  I no longer have the time and energy for that level of intensity.  It's EXHAUSTING.

 

I enjoy Winner,  I think they're very talented and they make me smile when I see them. I absolutely refuse to take on the "this is WAR" mindset, because it just saps the fun out of everything FOR ME.  But, hey, if that's what you like, go nuts.

I did not write that specifically for you though. It's for everyone else who's been rambling about us who actually are getting stuff done. 

It's true, some of us are hardcore, and that's why we (supposedly) know much more on the dirts than you (casual fan) ever will, just like when I was a VIP from 2006 til 2010, all the shit YG pulled on k-VIPs I knew full well. Imagine if social media had been more popular back in the days? Same thing would happen tbh. 

It's ok to enjoy Winner, come by, look them up, admire them, but for those stuffs to be there for you to enjoy, a big part of it is from the Inner Circle fandom effort, so don't make us look like whiny little 5 year old asses who whine because we didn't get our wanted toys.

The lack of Winner articles on Korean press is astounding, you can barely see any articles about them on front page, we can't help the boys on that, it's gotta come from YG and we know we would never get it, so whatever we can do we would make sure we get it. Just like that useless Mama poll, we knew it was nothing, but it's in our hands, we could control it, so we made every effort to do our best. Tho I still think it's useless.

It's a war. People's been mistaking it as a iKon-Winner war, but it's actually an Inner Circle vs YG war. If you're in this for the fun, it's totally fine, just leave us do the socalled whining job so we could have more fun together otherwise we would get nothing from YG .

Honestly, almost every fandom has something to complain about.  It's not like WINNER is unique in that regard.  Maybe WINNER fans are in they "we constantly have to fight for them" mindset is because that is how WINNER got their start - in battle.  Even before WIN, almost every single member had other battles - Seungyoon and Super Star K, Hoonie and KPop Star, Mino and Block B and BOM, Jinwoo, forever a trainee, etc...

 

I don't think YG has been perfect either, but what ticks me off about the complaining is the complete dismissal of everything YG HAS done for WINNER already.  And it's a LOT!!  Do you think their luxurious image comes cheap?  Do you think that New York trip and 10 billion photoshoots came cheap?  Do you think YG did nothing to line up all of those high end fashion magazine placements? They lined up several endorsements BEFORE they officially debuted.

 

Some of you spend way too much time focusing on what you didn't get, instead of what you DID get.

 

I almost think the YG wants to keep the Incles hungry and fighting for more.  He will probably play "Team A" vs "Team B" against each other for the forseeable future. You know how he gets off on that kind of stuff.   

While you are focusing too much on a tiny dot without even looking at the bigger picture. 

Even 2NE1 was promoted much hecka more than Winner is, and they debuted in 2009, when KPOP was still at the top of the game and the market was not even this saturated. Now stop whining about us whining for a second and think about it ?

YG took exactly 18 hours to put up one of their music show performances, did you know what happened during that 18 hours? we fucking shut down his email system asking for that shit. And he finally uploaded it nearly a day after, whereas he could not even wait a single second for any of his other act. Even CL's SIA perf was uploaded late for 2-3hrs after the show, you know what happened to Winner's video? 12 hours later!

You want receipt? I give you receipt. The shit he pulled on us is so much more than what I can think of at the top of my head now, but I expect casual fan or YGstans to not get it. It's ok, just stop putting words in our mouths and whining about us whining, coz it's not like we would stop and because of our effort to do all these that we actually get this much today. Don't say stuff like you know all the stuff.

I may sound angry, but it's just me speaking out what I've been wanting to say. Get it or not, it depends on you.  

*Note about the part that he invested heavily in them, because their ROI is high, and with bare minimal investment he could get back double triple the amount. I could write a whole paragraph on how the New York trips, the supposedly brand name clothings are nothing, but its for another day.
