  1. People here making a big fuss about Taeyeon mentioning 8 members are missing the point. She clearly didn't intended to shade Jess, she was just pointing out that the 8 current members had to go through a lot to be SNSD. Yes it would have been nice that she mention jess as 9 but its been obvious for a long time that SNSD and SM have decided not to mention her, for whatever reasons whether you agree or not. The situation is frustating indeed and as a sone I would love to have them adress each other BUT calling Taeyeon names is NOT gonna change anything, and this happends everytime 8 is mention.

People claiming this is for clout or whatever are ridiculous, nobody in korea is making this about Jessica because its not about her, its about the contestant that was clamining to be in the line up. You all miss that point because your head is still stuck in 2014.

And please, if you are gonna hate on Taeyeon at the very least leave Hara out of it, she suffered from shit being thrown at her from people who just wanted to hate her and didn't knew or had no sympathy for her situation, at the very least not use her same to justify the same disgusting behaviour.

  2. Interesting. When I saw it in the morning I didn't like it cause it felt like too much but now that's I'm listening to it again I like it. While the MV is gorgeous I feel tha combination of the song and the MV is a bit overwhelming. The song its better on it own.

  3. My heart hurts for Hara. Why such a nice girl had to suffer so much. It's saddens me that she couldn't get the help that she needed. I hope if anything society punishes that man who wanted to publicly shame her and manipulate her.

I wish from now on all of us, knetz and inetz can have more empathy for these idols.

    RIP Hara

lmao am I the only one who is mostly dissapointed about the prince eric actor, he doesn't look as charismatic as I would expect for prince eric to be
the rest of the cast seems fine altho hopefully melissa mccarthy won't make ursula a joke

also I really hope ariel gonna keep her iconic red hair 😮

This too. The prince Eric actor doesn't look charismatic at all but maybe he's better in action 🤷‍♀️

I think Halle was a good cast tbh but is she really gonna be the only non-white actor in the movie? 🙄

  5. I've been getting into g-idle so I'll be happy to see them get a push from bighit, specially considering 2 of the girls are fluent in english. Also, I hate cube after what they did to Hyuna so I hope this merge will change the company.

Bighit + Blackpink will be so powerful though but I doubt they want to buy a company that is going down soon. JYP though, he ain't selling, not while they have Twice.

  6. I disagree. People are making this waaaay too much about the members and not enough about the PD. He was the one receiving sexual favours and it was mnet who charged for the voting . Not to mention it was the idol agencies who were doing the bribing. By re-directing the attention to the members, they are indirectly shielding the grown ass men that are doing the real dirty shit behind the curtains.

Lets face it, every show is scripted. To be actually fair you would have to give all 101 (or idk how many contestants) the same screen time which would be literally imposible, not to mention boring. TV shows are always creating storylines they can follow to be entertaining and the contestant are mainly directed to engage in a given scenario.

So no, even if some members knew the choreo before hand or whatever, that doesn't make them the culprit of this whole situation and its completely cruel to expose them to public humiliation and a potential end to their careers because these grown ass men were using their images for a dishonest tv show.

Honestly I find this reaction to be too extreme but I do understand that the broadcast stations would also prefer to disassociate themselves from the Produce groups to keep themselves "clean"

I agree. I understand the controversy and I do think the members who got the votes but didn't end up in the line up need to be compensated but boycotting IZONE is just unfair to the members who were not part of the rigged votes, they are ruining their group's promo and wasting their hard work.

  8. The video is gorgeous! Her performance was really good too, it reminded me that she is indeed a great dancer 😊

I love the song too, at first I thought it was pretty standard but the chorus hit and It was very different. I really like the production.
  9. From Soompi: https://www.soompi.com/article/1363508wpp/ius-agency-releases-official-statement-about-incident-at-gwangju-concert

On November 3, IU’s agency, Kakao M, released a statement about actions taken against concertgoers during a concert at the Gwangju University Universiade Gymnasium the previous night.

    The full statement is below:

    Hello. This is Kakao M.

These are the details regarding measures that were taken against [a concertgoer] who was kicked out of IU’s Gwangju concert on November 2.

This Gwangju concert was the starting point of a tour that was created through many worries and hard work during a time when the artist has been in an anxious and mentally unwell state, which also delayed her album release.

We had various concerns about this concert, such as the possibility of a misunderstanding if IU’s honest thoughts toward the venue’s audience were shared via voice broadcast or turned into text, or if unexpected emotional events were to occur beyond what is normal for a performance.

As a rule, photography and video recording are prohibited during performances, but we have not strongly imposed this rule as long as it didn’t inflict harm on surrounding concertgoers. But we decided that this concert had special circumstances.

Some concertgoers were caught live-streaming at the venue and were kicked out during the November 2 Gwangju concert. Because the staff does not have the right to randomly search personal belongings of audience members during the fact-checking process, the streaming equipment was checked with the presence of the police, and both sides prepared written statements that confirmed the details after going to the Gwangju Hanam Police Station.

It has been reported that a complaint was filed, but the truth is that the concertgoer who was kicked out of the venue wrote a statement and a concert staff member wrote a report of the incident.

During the confirmation process, it was revealed that one of the people caught had been live audio streaming for many years, and had began live streaming this concert from the start for about four hours with a total of about 140,000 listeners.

We sincerely apologize to surrounding audience members whose concert-viewing was unintentionally disturbed and those who felt uncomfortable by the staff’s forceful actions and process. We apologize for creating this kind of misunderstanding and hurting the feelings of fans who love IU.

Although there might be a difference in the views of the staff and fans, we believe that everyone has the same mindset in caring for and loving the artist IU.

We will work hard to create a smooth operation for the rest of the concert tour, “Love, Poem.”

IU will continue her tour at the Incheon Namdong Gymnasium on November 9, the Busan Sajik Arena on November 16, and the KSPO Dome on November 23 to 24. The artist released her pre-release track “Love Poem” on November 1 and recently achieved a “perfect all-kill.”
