I haven't seen the episode yet...still waiting for hubby to come home so we can watch it together! Super happy with the top 4 though! They deserve it! I've been reading Naver news all day at work and Choi Hamin is trending right now at #3, Yang Hongwon is trending at #12 and High School Rapper is trending at #13. Meanwhile, on Melon, High School Rapper is trending #1, Choi Hamin is #2, and Yang Hongwon is #3. Yay~ Some of the top comments on Naver news articles are pretty pathetic. It's also the same under the Navercast comments for the video performances. They keep mentioning that Hongwon should apologize to his victims...another one bashes on School Rapper saying it's a junk show for letting a "gangster" like Hongwon win...another one is about the double standard of how Jang Yongjun had to quit but they let a bully like Hongwon stay. Sorry am I missing something? Since when was he a thug and why the heck are netizens bringing this up? This show isn't about finding the next good samaritan rapper lol. Never mind. Just saw the episode and now I see why all the comments about Hongwon's past are coming to surface. Netizens are not taking his dad's response very well.

You're assuming that he's popular bc of his "singing-rap" style but I can tell you that's not why. He initially became popular after his 1st round audition with "Ocean Waves" bc of the lyrics. Not sure if Korean is your first language but my husband and I are Korean and we were surprised by how beautiful the lyrics were, especially coming from a teenaged boy. He trended on Naver for a couple of days and then trended again after his next performance where he won 1st out of the 1st placed rappers. I think you're incorrect about Mnet pushing Hamin. Are you talking about winning? Bc the winner has already been determined as there are plenty of spoilers. Mnet is just editing what the have left and giving him more screen time bc he's been trending every week. My husband thinks Young B is the better rapper of the two but hip-hop is much bigger than just that and it's all subjective. He thinks Hamin will be more successful after this show bc he's not one-dimensional and has the ability to create good music.

so my husband finally caught up and watched the videos on Navercast where the audience picked the 3 previously eliminated contestants and he was shocked that Byungho scored higher than Choi Seohyun even though he flubbed his lyrics. More than that, he was upset (and so was I) that Bang Jaemin got the 3rd spot. When looking at the top comments, people are questioning why Jaemin made it and that it should've been Hamin, Sunjae, and Seohyun. We agree too. Is there something we're missing? Maybe because we're older aged fans? Also, for SMTM the audience was split 50/50 male to female but the audience looked predominantly all girls for this one lol.

and Nucksal in 2 programs! I never thought he'd even go on one lol. The VMC boys want the $$$ and honestly its time that people come to know the greatness of Nucksal

Myundo is getting a lot of hate on the hiphop dc gall for going back on the show while most are hyped to see Nucksal and want Justhis to get on the show as well. I would love to see both but I doubt Justhis will go on the show. I'm personally excited to see Punchnello and Nucksal

II was really impressed by Park Hyun Jin's rap today. He sounded really good! I have to agree with netizens that this season's experiment with the girl groups was a fail. As much as I love some of the individual girls in these groups, especially Sohye and Minju, the show has been pushing them to reach the finals for too long. It's just been too predictable. Some of the top comments on this Naver article are about how this isn't "Produce 101" and that it's strayed away from it's initial "Last Chance" theme for singers into "I want to be in a girl group" and how unfortunate it is that many of the best vocalists have already been eliminated (minus Shannon).

Mnet also "forgot" to add Hongwon's goodbye speech like they did for all the other contestants that lost in the battle

I thought the best part of the episode was the commentary between the contestants when they were choosing their partners for the 1:1 battle. It was cute how they were afraid of being up against certain contestants and were afraid to make it known. Still shows that they are teenagers unlike the SMTM contestants. I personally thought Jo Wonwoo did the best out of everyone today, but of course the spotlight isn't going to be on him at the end of the episode. His lyrics were ridiculously, crazy good (I might translate later if I have time). Definitely in a different league and I immediately thought, damn he could've gone really far if he was on SMTM. As for Hamin vs Hongwon, I thought Hongwon did better today but just like the judges stated over and over it was technicality vs artistry...it's hard to pick. Also, the top comment on the MC Gree vs Dong Min video and on this MC Gree related article...pretty harsh stuff but true. It was about how the judges dote on MC Gree too much. I have to agree after watching today's episode. Jessi is his mentor but why the hell was Swings also giving him advice on how to win right in front of his rival? I felt bad for Dongmin...and of course there are the comments about how people miss Oh Damn Ryul

Without revealing spoilers, just based on that preview clip, I think Choi Seohyun >>> Byungho. But then again, in the clip before this, I thought it was Sunjae's weakest performance so who knows what will happen And regarding Choi Hamin and Mnet never revealing any clips of his performances in previews...it's exactly how Seo Chulgu said in the last episode, he's "mysterious" and it's a concept that mnet is pushing.

That's been the talk on the hiphop DC gall after the episode aired. There were threads about how MC Gree was only chosen for his name power (to help with digital sales) instead of their #1 Kim Kyuheon. My husband thought Kim Kyuheon still performed the best in this episode and just like the netizens' top comments, he kept saying that he wished Chinchilla was on instead of MC Gree lol. I already know the spoilers but putting that aside, some of the most viewed threads on there are theories/proof about how mnet has been pushing for MC Gree and Mark to get to the finals. P.S. Some of the top comments on Naver following today's episode (translated by me): Swings hogged the spotlight. He picked a style that was his strong suit and wasn't considerate of Hamin's style. Hamin would've done better if he was on Giriboy's team and had his beats. They don't match at all (referring to Choi Hamin and Swings) Kim Kyuheon shined the most today Kim Kyuheon is sadly edited out of the show so much but he showed today that he is king Young B rode the beat so well For some reason I missed Oh Dam Ryul after today's episode. I wished he was on instead of MC Gree Jessi hard-carried that performance. MC Gree should be thankful Sunjae and MadClown showed what a good collaboration is (Swings take note) I like it when Sunjae goes "ay" (LOL) The best thing to happen to Giriboy's career was "High School Rapper" The day Young B met Giriboy's beat = the best day Right now, Giriboy's beats are the the freshest in Korean hip-hop Young B is Young B, but seriously that beat by Giriboy is something else. To sum it up, a lot of anger towards Swings, a lot of praise towards Kim Kyu Hun/Giriboy/Young B and some random top comments of people missing Oh Dam Ryul

Hamin's my fav (Chinchilla is a close 2nd) but I personally see the final being Wonwoo versus Young B.... Anyways, spoilers as to who made it to the finals have been out on DC. I think the final stage was two days ago with the results being kept a secret as that will be revealed live.
