I agree with your spoiler, and it was very well-said. People everywhere (not just here) should be more understanding and just listen when people feel differently. Yulhee was on the same plane but boarded separately. Here is another brief account on twitter (see the replies for more). I really love Laboum and hope Yulhee bonds with the group again soon, but it's gonna take time. https://twitter.com/tsutomo_BiS/status/911500465455558659

Male fans aren't the only ones who get hurt by dating scandals. When B2ST's Junhyung and KARA's Hara announced they were dating, large numbers of girls were so distraught they didn't even go to school. Teachers were angry with the agencies for announcing it publically. (Kamilia weren't as affected i think, maybe because of Hara's cool image & the age of the fans. It'll probably be the opposite for Yulhee though.) Anyway i don't think it's unusual to feel attached to your favorite idols, since they cheer up a lot of ppl who don't have a bf or gf. Even if you're mature enough to want them to be happy, thinking about them being with their bf/gf takes away from the "shared experience" of the group with the fans. I wouldn't call it being petty, just normal human feelings that agencies already know about (and count on for sales, lol).

Me too. I'm worried though because she has seemed distant from the other members lately. I don't know if her relationship was a part of that or not. I hope they will all support each other and get through the scandal okay.

Not many people seem to know about the channel yet, so if u can help share that would be really great. Here is the latest one, for Laboum Time ep4: They are soft subs, so you have to click the CC button. Channel link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZcFCVDXKe6GV97GkQFVFdQ/videos

Hey guys. I just translated to english the interview Hammie did with Korepo, for her new album. I will post it in the spoiler, but you can retweet me on twitter also if you are there. Hope you like it, she talks about a lot of things.. https://twitter.com/KidSimple14/status/821942443557945344

Their role in the CF isn't to sell the product with their fame, it's to represent Kpop to the international audience in a silly, in your face way. Most viewers wouldn't know which Kpop groups were famous anyway. Laboum has always been good at making fun of themselves, and being big and goofy like the CF. I'm happy they're making money no matter what tho. Extra attention is always good.
-
The big agencies don't rely on music alone, tho. They use their connections, call in lots of favors, and (of course) spend lots of money to get the word out. It's just the way it is. As fans we should try to do the same thing. Tell as many people as possible, write in and ask shows to put Laboum on, just raise the awareness any way u can. ^^ I totally love their new songs and choreo. Imagine More is a catchier title than Journey to Atlantis, but whatever lol. 3 Strike Out is probably my favorite of all the songs. I hope they start playing that a lot at baseball games, since the season just started. Here are some subbed videos to enjoy! (soft sub, use CC button) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5s97EpPdBA

If Subin thought those comments about getting #1 were negative, then i'm sure they were. She's one of the artists they are talking about after all, lol. A lot of that is lost in translation. I could say, "You are SO pretty" in a mean way if i wanted to. In general though, even among fans, i think there is way too much talk about getting #1 before every comeback. By now people understand that talent has little to do with popularity, and that the artists themselves have little control over getting popular, even when they have a great song! But still everyone is hung up on getting #1, and when some group does get #1 the fans use that as validation and proof of how great they are. Instead of just saying they got lucky, or had powerful support behind them. Given how unfair and arbitrary the industry is, you'd think people would stop caring about #1 so much and just enjoy their favorite groups.

The Kpop boom is definitely over, but Japan has a much bigger media market than Korea, and Kpop groups still get attention from some fans for being different. Unlike the market in Korea which is way over saturated. On top of the good sales Dal Shabet really enjoyed performing there last time, so the fans must be pretty good. I always get jealous when i see those fan meet videos.
