I hope all the idols that want to and have time for it are able to date someone nice without being judged for it. They deserve as much of a chance at happiness and companionship as the rest of us.

Why does every kpop fan that can halfway carry a tune or learn a choreo think they can be an idol? I guess I should be a little more understanding cuz they're younger than me, but heck, even when I was 15 I knew I wasn't going to be the next pop sensation. But you get these 18 year old kids who don't remotely fit the idol type or speak korean fluently going to Seoul and making 'teasers' for their next mv. Creativity is good but you need to live in reality land and have a realistic day job. Even Koreans born in korea who want to make music know it's a damn long shot to break even or even just debut with the number of people auditioning. It's like kpop is so popular and has so many artists making it that everyone now thinks they can get a piece of the pie.

I'm aware of current events. I just don't care to repost them because I figure most people who follow me on social media are already aware of them, since they're often discussing them too, and also I have nothing unique to contribute usually other than, 'wow this is terrible'. It does not mean I am apolitical, or do not care.

BP sounds so vocally identical to 2NE1, similar vocal color with two of the members and similar vocal direction, the music sounds more current so it's not hard to imagine it's the kind of stuff they'd be releasing now if they were still together. I read that article about their stylist and in it she stated BP were the only kpop girl group to wear Alexander McQueen...but 2NE1 also wore some McQueen pieces. The difference is that BP's styling is more prettified and wearable while 2NE1's was experimental. YG could have the global success that seemed possible for 2NE1 with them... if he let them promote ever. they're not really my style anymore personally though, I guess.... but it's hard not be a little regretful

I'm so tired of 'former kpop fans' who take any news of something bad in kpop to soapbox about how 'the kpop industry is toxic and now that I'm older and know better I dont support it'. Like. Cool, you don't have to like kpop. But A. Don't imply that those of us still in the fandom are all idiots that aren't aware of the problems and/or support them; and B. There are literally problems in every entertainment industry. I even encountered some folks implying SHINee were being forced to work too soon after Jonghyun passed away and like...they've released multiple press releases and statements in their own words saying it was their choice??? I don't think SM is some great benevolent workplace but it's pretty clear senior artists like SHINee get a say in what they want to do, but these people want to ignore that fact because it doesn't fit their narrative that all kpop is evil.

Does BTS actually have 'haters' anymore that aren't, like, a couple teenage kpop fans on the internet? Why do they make so many diss tracks? I'm not complaining because they're catchy as hell but I find it odd that a group that's on top needs so many tracks firing back at haters lol. afaik they're respected by seniors in the industry and the korean public alike

K-indie artist I like released their cover of Fake Love.

I know this is a weird thing to wish for (although SM did say a long time ago they were going to do a NCT Latin American unit, they did just have SJ do a collaboration with a Spanish-language artist, and KARD is actively targeting the latin market), but I'm hoping this Despacito cover craze makes Koreans realize that Spanish and Korean are a perfect match and record more spanish language songs. They seriously sound so good together, even though they have no relationship to each other. They're both syllable-timed languages that trill their r sound so it kinda makes sense anyway.

Why was Iggy Azalea's career ended because she used a blaccent, but Ariana Grande can do the same thing and people still love her? KARD are boring and bad live and even though I love their releases I wouldn't pay to see them in concert unless there was another artist performing as well.
