I have all y'all beat on the age thing. I am noona to Shinhwa, for pity's sake. ...hear that, Intae? You want kids, I want YOUR kids, my biological clock is tickin' here, let's GO!

I'm watching the first episode of MGoS and the way Intae holds that puppy... I'm mentally replacing the puppy with our baby. OMG INTAE'S WHEEZING LAUGH AT 7:48! Eeeeehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe! And flinching away from Janggeunie. *heeeeeeee* I need Moxxie to gif that.

The funny thing is the T-ara song is also a Duble Sidekick song. I kind of figured the the guy who was all pissed about it was cranky that he hasn't won any songwriting awards (most peoples' response to his tweet was along the lines of '...who are you?') I think Virginia might be right. There was a bit in one of the MGoS episodes where they're trying to get people to come to a guerilla concert and they make him go after a caucasian lady and they do a brief, 'where are you from, oh I'm from [wherever he's from].'

Dalmates on twitter were asking people not to retweet it and not to call him... and then someone pointed out he might feel bad if NOBODY called him.

There was a comment made that they had been planning a new album for a May release, but that was obviously put on hold. And Inati drunk-tweeted (we presume) that there was a new song coming out soon (but then he deleted that tweet - this was in the last couple of weeks)... and then he tweeted out his phone number (and then deleted *that* tweet). I kind of figured if they were planning an album for May, they had to have already done all the recording, so there are probably songs ready to go... but it would be weird for an idol group to release a song with no promotions... but if they promoted, it would have to be without Daniel... which just makes my stomach knot up.

Good luck with your homework (and happy early birthday to you)! That's probably the most common way it gets pronounced, but alas, no. The first a is like add (as in add and subtract). I've never heard that my surname looks ethnic before! I suppose it's true, in a way; it's just very germanic (also nobody ever pronounced that right, either - the vowel pair in the first syllable is a long a, despite there not actually being an 'a' IN the name - so the first syllable sounds like a kind of bird. Or a piece of construction equipment).

This is absolutely adorable and gives me massive Jisu feels and makes it obvious that he's got several inches on Dan, even if you account for Jisu's terrible hair.
-
It's hard to find group photos of them that don't have weird angles or posing or someone leaning slightly to throw off gauging the height. There's this one. Even if Daniel wasn't tilting his head, he'd still be obviously the shortest with the two pillars at the sides. And this one. But look at the feet - the shorties (by comparison) are all standing a little closer to the camera, which adds just enough to their height to make them all look about even... if you don't notice the feet. And Jisu *still* looks taller than Daniel. =D I've got nothing against short people; I'm all of 5'3".

Heh. I would think it was a new spelling of Simone or Say-mo-nay (though no accented e would give me pause). But having a wonky name myself, I tend to ask first and repeat till I get it right.
-
He's only short for an idol, and even that's questionable, as I'd heard at one point that it was a point of pride for our guys that none of them wore the heel lift things to add to their height that's so common for idols. Intae and Jisu are supposed to be close to 6' on their own. Hard to say, though - idols almost always fudge their height. Almost. Missed the other d in there.

My name is virtually unpronouncable via the internet. -_- Nobody ever gets it right the first time. Some people not after working with them daily for six years. Celeste has seen it; she can attest to it. It's odd. It's not some long complicated name, either. Two syllables. And people still mangle it. I ordered food today at work (I was starving, but that enchilada was still a bad idea, no matter how delicious it was). I repeated my name twice and spelled it for him, and somehow he heard Jetta. Like the car. Hint: no my name is not Jetta. Or Jenna or Janet.

... maybe it's because in most of his pictures, he's making duckface, which is not at all an asian thing. >_< I don't know what it is, exactly. Maybe his bone structure or his pretty big eyes (big and also pretty). http://instagram.com/k1ngdav1d# How he can think he's not devastatingly handsome... I don't get it. ... ... ...I would also have his babies.
-
I find it weird that they said it's because he's a foreigner... but so's Daniel. Maybe because David looks more caucasian? I don't know what his ancestry is, but he really doesn't look incredibly 'asian' to me, and it's not in a 'oh he's had plastic surgery and good makeup' kind of way, if that makes sense? I also think he's quite good looking and he's got the best abs of the bunch (sorry Inati).

Ladies - Jisu vs English. http://fantomistress.tumblr.com/post/44080891622/banamas-jeesu-vs-english There's audio of what I think is one of his radio show solos a couple of minutes in - he has to dip kind of low at some parts and while he can reach the notes, you can hear him losing power, but it's a pretty great show of his natural talent anyway.
-
...I've never seen this one before. I'm not sure how that's possible. Inati actually mentions the hemorrhage briefly.
-
I'll have to see if I can find the Jisu vs english post on tumblr. I think I peed a little the first time I listened to it. And now I have Jisu feels. ...whatever plant that is on his chest, I kind of want to water it... with my tongue. (sorry inati) ...also use my teeth on those veins... Come here you adorable puppy let noona love you! Yes, the bedroom is that way. Good boy. Edit: And because this is one of the best gifs ever:

I would hope Dari's coming back, but it's also possible he'll take a clean break and do whatever he wants to do. Unless 2works suddenly updates us somehow, or someone drops a photo on IG of them all in a practice room together, obviously working on choreography, it's completely up in the air. I was hoping they'd do something subtle, like add his birthday to the DMTN site calendar, but no... not yet, anyway.

We don't know how long he studied in either country, or what his living situation was in either place. If he was surrounded by english at all times, he would have picked up more and been more likely to retain it, but if he was staying with korean speakers and just getting english from school, that could have tremendously limited his learning. Plus if he graduated at 18 (19?), that's almost 15 years now that he's been back in SK. That's plenty of time to lose a lot of what he gained from being abroad. There's also the question of whether the aneurysm had any impact on his language centers. *Simon* is being modest when he says his english is bad. Daniel is being modest when he says his korean is bad. I think Intae was more or less being honest. Jisu's english... well. Have a gif. Yeah, Daniel's voice has the most power, and he's probably the most stable, live. Simon and Donglim can both carry a tune, obviously, but neither of them can really compare to Dan. =/ Jisu has loads of raw talent, but his range always feels much higher, so I wonder how he would do with Dan's lower register. That kind of a vocal shift could really drop what power he *does* have, and I worry that it'll affect his confidence on stage, too.

My biological clock has been ticking the last few years, and then I found Jang Intae and it went into hyperdrive.

His story about how his grandmother said he was an ugly baby makes me somehow laugh and be sad at the same time. Apparently korean men stare. It's just something they do. Which is kind of hilarious, because I would be frozen in the western panicky mindset of 'what's he looking at? Is there something on my face? In my teeth? In my hair? Did I spill something on my shirt, what happened WHY IS HE LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT' and poor Inati would just be confused when I started hyperventilating and ran away. And that... the lip-biting... so many gifs of the lip biting and the tsundere in me comes out whenever he does that and I just want to smack him. I think moxxie likes those gifs because she KNOWS I will flip my shit over them.
-
He's said that he's forgotten most of the english he knew, because he didn't use it when he was back in SK. The putz. I assume Jisu will pick up some of the slack, but I imagine Donglim will also get more lines and yeah... if they bring Dari back in (there's been no word for sure, and the switch to 2works happened while he was doing his military service, so it's *really* hard to say what's going on there), I would guess they'd do as you mentioned. Which would mean pretty much everybody (except Intae?) would have to learn their parts for every song almost from scratch. He apparently studied in Canada, too, according to a radio interview. I <3 the tumblr I got it from. She does excellent gifs.

(and/or Inati's version of it, which comes out to FACK TO ME) I just want someone to post something about Jisu so we know he's still alive, because he's the ONLY one we've seen nothing from or about since the crap hit the fan in March. But I'm going to assume he's practicing like crazy for the performance next month, because he's probably going to end up with a lot of Daniel's lines.

Yeah... Japanese just... their consonants only have one sound, and the syllables are simple. There are a couple of exceptions, but nothing like korean. Korean is closer to english in that sense, I think - because each character has its own sound, rather than being a syllable. It takes much more thought for me to sound out anything in korean (not that I can translate anything) than anything in hiragana/katakana (kanji has always thrown me for a loop). I'm hoping once our boys can make a comeback, that 2works will re-open the fanclub stuff and this time offer a cheap-o international fan option. Like, charge me $20 for an email that says, 'woo grats, you're an official Dalmate, have fun with that!' Don't worry about shipping me stuff I don't want (or can't afford to pay shipping for), just basically have free money to keep the company and our guys going.

I don't like clutter. I would have liked to have gotten a signed copy of Safety Zone, but the *only* reason I would have wanted it would be for the signatures. I took a semester of Japanese in college like 10 years ago. I feel so old, saying that. I remember very little of it. Three alphabets and a crapload of memorization, but the pronunciation was at least simple (there's no real variation in romanizing the words, unlike korean... where sometimes a k is a g sound but not always but even when it seems like it *should* always be a g sound, I'll hear a native speaker with the k sound...) I don't even know anymore.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Halloo! Glad you could join us! I'm also pestering moxxie on G+. I love the emotes here. They capture fangirl feelings much more realistically than simple smilies. ROFL He's only got a couple of things on YT, but it's something. He also tweeted a pic of Intae reading through his script at what looked like a cafe or coffee house or the like. So we know he's been catching up with Intae, David (DD posted a pic of them together on his IG), and Daniel at least.
