Official SHINHWA (신화) Thread - Legends for 21 Years & Still Thriving!

They prove that they're good, loyal people over and over again. ...Junjin. Oh hell, *all* of them should just have to wear those tops at all times, because bare arms... -
Reading something you *want* to read makes all the difference. The first three are all excellent. Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons both suffer from missing characters. Feast follows mainly the characters who are in the Seven Kingdoms while Dance covers the people across the sea (Dany and a few others who relocate for various reasons, but I don't want to spoil anything). So no matter who your favorite characters are, chances are pretty damned high you're going to be cranky at how little there is of them to be seen in one book or the other. Plus, imo, Dance dragged. Dany gets massively bogged down (GRRM wrote himself into a corner with her storyline and had to figure out a way to write her back out of it in a way that made sense... it's the primary reason Dance took so long to be done). To me, it felt like very little got accomplished with her story despite taking up so much of the book.

...Dongwannie... wat'ru doin' to poor Andy? On stage, no less! Dirty old man! I'm kind of surprised Andy didn't chase him off the stage anyway. And yes! Zombdy! I have the most feels for Andy when he's in Zombdy mode, he is friggin' hilarious. Have you seen the Shinbang episode with him as Etilda? The modeling one? So. Good. And grats on choosing a bias. =D -
Promotions were cut short for Safety Zone (I think), the showcase was postponed, and the album that was supposed to be released in May... didn't get released in May - that's all we know for sure. What we don't know is anything they had in the works but was unannounced that got canceled. Which could have been very little, or could have been quite a lot. 2works was doing a solid job of getting them out there before the pot hit the fan, as it were.
-
That seems weird. That's what they said months ago (in re: putting everything on hold). The showcase in Singapore was "postponed" around then, but the event in Japan was scheduled well after that, so I don't know if the journalist was trying to fill up space or what, but it doesn't sound right.

Oh, it's not mine. I have no giffing ability to speak of. I'm just good with google and trawling through tumblr to find stuff. =D That one I found on robotcat's tumblr.

Hmmm. I found that thread. The OP seemed genuinely curious - it was just the one jackass posting. I've decided I need to find and bookmark hilarious DMTN response gifs/images. That way I can be like all the cool internet kids and just post images to express what I think of a thread, rather than going to all the effort of typing out coherent thoughts into grammatically correct sentences. I suggest that one for every time some putz says something pot related in a DMTN thread from now until forever.

If he doesn't write himself into a corner again, it might go faster than we think, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm not sure what he could write now that would be actually controversial. Maybe that was poor wording on the part of the author of that article - I mean, I can imagine something being more divisive than usual for the fans, but genuinely controversial considering everything else that's already happened in the books?
-
That's quite insightful about Sansa. She was my least favorite Stark for a very long time, but she started to grow on me once she realized the world wasn't all knights on white horses rescuing ladies in distress. I hadn't heard about a controversial chapter... but I figured it would take another 5-6 years for WoW to come out, so I haven't been following ASoIaF news. =/

No worries! I rarely have feels for Jisu that go beyond the protective noona kind. I am not going to the same threads as you, apparently. I know there will now always be people who think they're clever (hint: they're wrong) posting pot remarks on any DMTN related articles/threads. Kind of bothered that there doesn't seem to be an option to ignore a user entirely on this site, either.

That is a beautiful orange ocean! I'm so happy for them. They've worked hard for every bit of success they've achieved. Ahhh the Happy Together episode was fantastic. So much fun to watch them give each other crap and hear all their stories. -
...I want to smack Daniel and THEN hug him... because he did something dumb and he should have known better, but it's not (imo) a big deal and he's going through a rough spot and I support the maknae. Otherwise, I really just want to hug Jisu and Intae. And maybe get a little handsy with the latter.

I don't really think the US cares enough about one pot smoker to either spend money on prosecuting her here or finding her and sending her back to SK to face charges, though. I'd be surprised if anything at all comes of it.

Hallo. Cow country is (for me at least) in the american midwest. -
I was just reading about that. It certainly makes Daniel look better by comparison, since he could have taken that route as well.

Hello, my name is Yahnati and I am SHCJ. I am Dongwan-biased, but Junjin has been destroying me lately. Not sure why, but it started with his teaser photo for the current comeback. Where he's all dirty and... gorgeous... -
And that effing adorable little mole in front of his ear. *touch* ------------------- I am also confused by the Junjin feels. Dongwan is pretty easily my bias, but it was always kind of Eric and Minwoo lurking just below him. The Junjin feels came out of almost nowhere. But then... scroll through this tumblr and try NOT to have feels... http://iheartshinhwa.tumblr.com/tagged/Junjin It is UNPOSSIBLE. I may spend the weekend catching up on their variety appearances and Shinbang episodes.
-
Marshmallow? Those thighs... *giggles* He rocks the pink. ...alright. Bias crisis averted. Edited to add: This close, even makeup wouldn't hide flaws. Which means he's literally flawless.

Not really traumatized - more like irritated. I've only had maybe a half dozen dreams that involve kpop, two of them with Inati in them (woo) except the first one *was* kinda traumatizing and the second one didn't really go anywhere (boo). The one that *does* go somewhere features a bias (so at least it wasn't some random idol I've never had feels for), but I don't think he's even in my top 10, so it was completely out of left field. There are other parts of it that made it extra weird, but I'm not going into that. And yes. Shinhwa's Dongwan. He just... ... ... I *adore* him. Although goddamned Junjin lately. He's messing with my WHOLE bias list. He's threatening INATI.
-
...that is almost on the awful-level of Jisu's ER hair. *cringe* Guys... I had awkward dreams last night but they weren't about DMTN and now I just feel weird. How do I have massive feels for Dongwan right before bed and not dream about HIM, either? W.T.H.

I think it says something about the stories we're used to, that everybody *but* the main character can die. I was shocked as well, but I was also fascinated that GRRM went down that path. It was upsetting to get to Ned's death... but it was also such a contrast to every other epic story I'd read that it was weirdly refreshing.
-
The reaction videos are amaaaaaazing. I can just picture GRRM watching some of them and making Mr Burns fingers while cackling maniacally. I actually liked her more to start with than I do now. At least, in terms of her character growth in the books. She does great for awhile, then plateaus, then just... gets bogged down and irritating in her own storyline. I'm hoping since the series has to be condensed for TV, that will actually be something they do better on HBO than was done in the books.
-
One of my favorite tumblrs, as she adores the jeesu beyond all measure. She's calling him Jee-chunk.
-
Intae's never lost his buffness. He's just consistently gorgeous. I've seen a few people on twitter kind of giggling that Jisu looks like he's gained some weight, but I kind of think it's just the way that denim vest fits him and how he's fiddling with it - it has an odd gap that *could* look like he's got a belly... but I don't really think so. His face, arms, and legs look just as thin as before. But I would not object if he managed to put some weight on his butt. He currently has no butt. I like some substance to a man's ass, and that is a rare thing in kpop.
-
I'm not buying it either. This has been going on for nearly 3 months now and she's not made a single court appearance. If she was sick, surely they could verify that with her doctor, in which case they would have already said something about it and wouldn't go so far as an arrest warrant.
