Reason for being banned from bashing thread? Need clarification on rules

 

Was it because I quoted too many people as response or my post was overly long/technical or because it seemed like I was defending instead of bashing? Didnt think I crossed any lines according to the rules but I haven't been there before.

I didn't give you a warning. You asked for a temp and I did as you asked. Temp bans are shown in your log the same way a regular warning is shown. You weren't awarded any points or a verbal warning.

Why don't I get notifications when I'm quoted sometimes? I only find out when I go back into the thread. This doesn't happen all the time though, because I sometimes do get notifs.

I need a little more information from you. Do you follow the threads that you are receiving the quotes from? If that's the case you won't receive direct notifications from the person that quoted you. You will only receive a notification that someone has posted in the thread you follow. There is also a limit to how many notifications you can view at a time (25), so it's possibly that other notifications took the forefront.

I come onto this site a few times while at work using the work wifi. I work at a university so I'm not sure if other people at this school do or don't have accounts on here as well. Was reading through some stuff and realized people could think me (or them) are having multiple accounts even though we just get on the same wifi.

I get on with this university wifi (which could possibly be shared with other users here), and then the one at home which is only me. Not sure if I state it here, but I wanted to make mods aware.

I don't believe the thread needs to be removed. In fact, both of them are fine as is. Mes posted the translation of the full interview for OHSnap, and you posted translations based on a portion of the interview. There really is nothing to be confused by.

It depends on content and the direction the responses go. I would rather they not be made, because more often than not they turn into bashing threads.
