  1. Once SNSD does their Korean promotions and their Japanese tour, that is the time where more individual activities are open to all the members. This is what I think some fans who don't want TTS album are mistaken of. TTS is part of their individual schedules, not a part of their group schedule. TTS album does not take away from a SNSD group album. Remember that before TTS was created, it was Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Seohyun who were the jobless ones (or least individual schedules), not the other members. If other members wanted to create a subunit instead of other individual opportunities in other entertainment sectors, I think SM would eventually relent to that too, although SM would have to think hard imo. (I feel that Taeyeon's musical reputation helps a good part with the digital and album sales of TTS, just my theory)
  2. I don't think ITNW single album was a mini album. This would be the 4th mini-album actually.
  3. I'm glad that they will be performing Express 999 as well, but seeing as this is SM and how they have had stages for the girls in their previous years at Gayo Daejuns, I wouldn't be surprised if it is only a quick intro of 30 secs that leads into IGAB :P
  4. I heard that info was false though. Wish its true, but I'm doubting that stuff without a source for now.
  5. Bringthesnacksout comments about Tiffany singing that type of song I don't have a problem with which is why I made agreed on some points with him. But I also agree with you Documentary that Tiffany does tend to get the "should have been given <insert another members name>" or "I would like to see <insert member's name> do this instead of Tiffany." comments more often than I see it with any other member, whether on here or on just random comments online. The most common one is Tiffany doing interviews in English and someone suggests Jessica should do the interview instead. I remember seeing this happen in 2009 and continues on just recently with her interviews with Tom Hiddleston and Brad Pitt interviews. It is more just a few people saying these types of comments, but you rarely see this happen to other members when another member does a solo activity. Lenalee is right in that for the most part, Tiffany fans haven't really voiced themselves with this issue because its still a minor issue in some ways, but it also irks me as a Tiffany fan to see a few fans say this about Tiffany. Just because Tiffany is extremely outgoing and works on a lot of things should not affect what other members get solo wise.
  6. I can understand your point of view in that Tiffany's singing has been criticized before here more compared to some of the other girls. However, there are some differences in why Tiffany she gets more compared to a Seohyun or Sunny OST. The songs Tiffany tends to do recently have been more high vocal quality and more out of her range than what some of the other girls have chosen to sing. For example, Yuri's OST didn't really get any criticism because it was unexpected (at least to some, not me though) and it was within her range. For Yuri's level of singing, it was good. For this song for Tiffany, I don't think BringtheSnacksOut is saying Tiffany didn't do well with the song, but that song is really difficult to sing and it can strain her voice if she continues to sing that song too much. I actually don't mind she is doing songs out of her normal range and trying to push herself, although I do hope she doesn't push too much that it leads to vocal nodules again.
  7. I would agree their Japanese should be better if it was really their focus, and you can tell from how SM has promoted them since their Japanese debut its not a priority. Also, there won't be any significant progress unless they actually stay/live in Japan for at least a few months. TVXQ, BoA, and even Kara improved their Japanese because their companies had them stay there to learn the culture. If you don't use it, you lose it. I doubt they are using it much other than in language practices here and there, which doesn't do much for improvement.
  8. Yes, some of them were. But if you define someone in SNSD who is considered hyper and energetic during performances, who would you say it is? I would dare say a majority would say it is Tiffany. That we are discussing Tiffany just lacking energy and not being as hyper as she normally is even to someone who went to the concert saying so, I think the lack of of sleep definitely has merit. Also, they had really packed schedules back then overall, but instead of tight schedules, they have to travel much more outside of Korea than they ever did during 2010-2011. SNSD probably averages about 2-3 trips per week this year. Still, their travel schedule doesn't matter in that much in this matter, because I am not saying their cumulative schedule affected how Tiffany performed towards the end. I am saying because SNSD didn't get proper rest before the concert that I can understand how Tiffany was not typically herself. If you can recall any of their previous concert schedules in 2010-2011 where they arrived on the day of the concert early in the morning and were able to perform with more concentration and energy, then I can see your point of view.
  9. Some members can do it and others can't because they are all different people? SNSD may be one group, but they are still all 9 individual people. Also, you went to a KMW concert where each artist performs 2-3 songs at most, where they don't perform long enough where endurance, focus and concentration are not big enough factors in their performances. Even with lack of sleep or energy, you can somewhat get by on adrenaline alone. For example, if you have watched the Good Morning SBS episode in 2009 where they were performing Gee and they were practicing Gee for SBS Inkigayo. Yuri said they hadn't slept much at all before they had come into practice due to previous schedules and I think even Seohyun said they didn't sleep all night just so they could get more practice in. I don't remember any lack of effort or sloppiness on their SBS performance that during that time. But adrenaline cannot last for 3 hours. If I didn't know the context that they didn't get any rest coming straight to the concert early morning the same day, I would agree they should give more effort and/or passion during their concert. But because of that context, I can understand their lacking performance in concert towards the latter end of the concert.
  10. Just going to put my perspective on Tiffany's and/or other girls performance levels during this past concert. Hearing that they didn't get to rest much at all before the concert, I'm not surprised by what I say from Tiffany on that fancam. Just looking at the fancam without knowing the context, Tiffany definitely looks like she is half-assing it and just going through the motions. However, you can tell its more on her appearing fatigued by how uncoordinated and unfocused Tiffany looks. Tiffany is not well known for her dancing skills, and she will tend to make a mistake here or there or even be off the beat just a little and then readjust during the dance. However, she truly appears to be just be lagging behind in most of that fancam. When you lack sleep, it is your mental/cognitive abilities that decline significantly because your focus and coordination just go out the window. Dancing and singing for 3 hours at a concert? I'm surprised she didn't just flop to the floor really because I probably would have been dizzy halfway in. To put it into perspective, here is my experience with sleep deprivation that is related to Soshi in a way. I'm from Northern California and I drove down to Southern California in early 2011 for the Soshified Meetup that SM helped out. I drove with a group of SONE's @ around 2-3 am in the morning and early in the 5-6 hour trip it was really foggy on this single lane path on Route 152 and I really needed my concentration, focus and attention on the road because I could barely see 20 ft in front of me even with high beams on. I was driving like 15 miles per hour just to keep not from driving out of my lane and hitting another oncoming car from the other direction. Once I got onto 1-5, there was no fog there and total cruise control down to LA. Now, even though I volunteered at that event, I didn't really do anything too taxing on my body. I walked around and worked the entire day, doing errands here and there, but nothing that required any mental energy or concentration. At the end of the event and having ate well at the Korean BBQ place (forgot the name now), I was able to get in like 2 hours at most of sleep while everyone else was having fun singing at Karaoke, and I hadn't slept in over 24 hours at that point. I also was the one driving back home to Northern California because it was my rental car, and I thought I could do it. However, even just driving down I-5 with little to no traffic around you is extremely difficult. Half an hour into the trip, just focusing on the lane in front of me was making me sleepy and dizzy. No cars around at all and I could barely keep on a straight lane. I was slowly weaving in and out of the left lane and I was barely able to open my eyes and refocus enough to bring the car back into the lane. I knew I was exhausted having not slept much and knew the effects of sleep deprivation, but I thought I could do it by surviving off caffeine to give me the energy boost I would need for the drive back home. Let me tell you, it doesn't help at all. Before we started, we bought Starbucks and that really didn't help much at all. Soda bottles......just nothing. I was really trying to focus on keeping straight on the road, but my mind was too confounded from the lack of rest. I even drank 2 of those 5 Hour Energy Drink bottles during that trip. They probably lasted 5-10 minutes each bottle before I was falling asleep again. I was able to drive 3 hours into the trip moving in and out of the lane constantly (lucky it was in the middle of the night and 1-2 cars in sight all around) and stopped for gas before I had someone else who had some rest on trip drive the rest of the 2-3 hour drive back home. Just some somewhat simple focusing on the path ahead of me and just slightly moving my hands left or right and I was really slow, unfocused, uncoordinated and somewhat dizzy and delirious. If I had to dance and sing for a concert in that condition, you would probably see me on the stage unconscious from my mind being mentally overwhelmed.
  11. Not sure if its SM or its more Sunny and also Taeyeon just not accepting to do many magazine covers. Taeyeon would definitely get many chances to be on the cover of magazines because she has the most fans in SNSD, but she doesn't seem to do that many and same thing with Sunny over the years.
  12. If fans want to try to approach Tiffany at the county fair, then they are free to do it. As for Tiffany, she is also free to decline as she did as well. I'm sensing you don't like the manager excuse Tiffany gave, but I'm guessing she wanted to let the fan down without having to say "I'm with my friends and I'm sorry I don't want to be bothered when I am with them" sort of chat. Tiffany has shown to be gracious to fans who ask for autos and/or pictures, even chatting with them for a bit of time as well. However, having seen how she works, she rarely has signed or taken pics when she is around family or friends. She prefers to be "Stephanie", not the popular girl group member Tiffany from Korea at that time. If you as a fan can't accept those terms, then too bad.
  13. Its not a big deal overall, but you set a precedent if you let someone steal your work, even if its just a word or a few phrases. If you let me steal this little bit, why can't I steal a bit more from you? If you let other people steal the credit of these translators for their own work, then you are in a way saying I don't appreciate what these translators are doing for free for others. Then when these translators get tired of their work being taken without credit and stop translating other stuff besides IG for fans for free, then what?
  14. Hmm, if its the same setting, can you really tell from a screencap if its English or Korean MV? If I remember right, the Boys English and Korean MV's weren't really different right? Also, screencaps can be different based on how many frames are used, capture size, or by how it captures are decided by time rate or specified number. It could be an English version, but not sure if you can base it solely on just a screencap.
  15. It doesn't invalidate it, but it definitely makes me want to ignore it because if he doesn't show respect in what others think, why should I care to listen to his points too unless I like getting talked down towards.
  16. Ok, weird how you just asked how his posts are not really humourous in nature, and now you say you find them funny? Conundrum if there ever was. Here is where I disagree that it isn't malicious. He is more than just mocking, he is CONDESCENDING to other's opinions that go against his. He is acting superior; that he is right; everyone else not with me is completely wrong and just stupid/moronic. I have no problem with him not liking the song(s) that have just recently been released and some parts of his posts. But the manner that he goes about that supposed humor does not work. Its pretty much putting someone down to make yourself look/feel better or important.
  17. Actually you did when you said "3. People in this thread to gain a sense of humor when it comes to Robert/Sooyoung's posts." Also, what is his underlying point then? Like his comments to a new person Janny here. Robert's points are right and Janny's are worthless and shit? So people in the world of Western pop artist fans are high school idiots that like to insult each other online?
  18. I never knew being condescending towards people was haha funny. Must be a new kind of humor we should learn to adopt right?
  19. IMO, line distribution talk shouldn't be that much of an issue. In the overall lines of an album, Taeyeon and Jessica still get the most lines and Tiffany and Seohyun appear to be getting a bit more than previous albums, but they are still behind those 2. Like I've said before, you rarely heard Tiffany fans complain about her 2 short lines in the Boys that was also released in English and the rest of the album her line distribution was the norm. The only noticeable difference that is worth discussing is about Tiffany and somewhat Seohyun getting more adlibs/bridge lines in songs that Jessica always/mostly got in albums beside Taeyeon. For Lingua Franca, Tiffany has 2 parts in the first and second verse, the bridge part and the ending. For those who are Sica bias, would line distribution really matter that much if Tiffany didn't sing that last part of the song and had Sica done it instead so Jessica had her 4 lines and Tiffany had the 3 parts (2 verse parts and the bridge)? Would having Jessica do the bridge part before Taeyeon's bridge part work for the song better than Tiffany & Taeyeon singing it. IMO, I think having Tiffany & Taeyeon makes better sense musically because of their contrasting voices. If Jessica & Taeyeon were to sing that same part, I think it would be less effective because their voices are similar. If you had Tiffany's husky voice and then Jessica's smooth vocals after, that would also be a good option instead of Taeyeon & Jessica doing those parts one after another. Please feel free to discuss if you'd like.
  20. I think its incorrect to bring in TTS subunit into how SNSD's line distribution is in songs, because they are not connected in any way other than they have some members of the same group in them. A group line distribution should not be swayed because a few members got to be in a subunit and other members should get more of a chance to get more lines because TTS got to sing more from that subunit. This also goes into the unconscious perceptions about TTS I spoke about in a previous post, but TTS are not getting any more lines than they have previously. Maybe Tiffany is getting to do more adlibs that Jessica once did, but Jessica still gets the 2nd most lines in songs. TaeNy duet doesn't really matter either, like my comparison of JeTi duet in 2nd album when JeTiHyun also got a chance to promote as an unofficial subunit. There was never this much dislike for JeTiHyun/JeTi for line distribution before, but why for TTS/TaeNy?
  21. I'm ok with the pink outfits because they remind me of figure skating uniforms. In fact, the designs look similar to what figure skaters wear.
